*shrugs* Ice powers and dedicated fire extinguishers WOULD probably be better for putting out fires than simple water. Not so much a big spike of ice, but fires are extinguished by lowering the temperature, displacing oxygen or both. Water is simply not as good as extreme cold for the first, and not as good as something like halon at the second.

I agree wholeheartedly, please make sure Water Blast is *at least* as good as Ice Blast vs fires.

And agreed. Maybe have water do a special type of damage vs. fires so that water blasters, and the devs, don't get laughed at once they try to start fighting fires.

According to the "prezi" thingy - it showed them as being "Cold and Smashing Damage", with some -Speed & -Defense...
Not sure - But, I'd think it'll be as good or better than 'ice-powers' vs 'fires' & the -Defense part might help with the Ultra-Stubborn, Steel Canyon Fires.

So I just got out of my time machine... I was on the test server in the future trying out this new Water based blast set! I know I should really wait for it to be on the present test server but I just COULDN'T WAIT.
Now. I come to you today-now and risk the stability of the space time continuum so that we might avert a crisis in that time by preventing it from happening. You see, this water power set, was doing very poor damage against fires on buildings during hellion arson attacks! Because it is primarily smashing and fire/cold are secondary types, it did not damage the fire patches very much and not AT ALL with some powers!
Please Cryptic -or wait I didn't go all the way back did I. Oh well, I've typed this much!- please, Paragon Studios... make some special tag or effect for water blast so that it can heroically save the burning buildings like it should! You can't have your blaster's primary powers out-done by temporary glorified squirt guns anyone can grab from a fire marshall. :/
