I believe that it would be good if each job went towards the same number of accolades. Other than that, I really don't care about them.

Still, I like the idea. Of course I had to wonder about us villains. No such locations for villains.
No from me. There are already a lot of them out there and frankly they take too long to be awarded. Also, would be yet another set of incomplete badges which just grates me. Just like the Patron ones, villain side, where you can have only one of the four.

I always thought running the arc with someone else will award you the badge? tho haven't tried it... just assumed.
It seems like a nice idea to me, but the problem I can see is people abusing it, for instance, making a level 1 charecter, leaving it in city hall to get the improved powers whilst playing an alt then having an easy cruise through levels because your doing too much damage for your level.
I would like to see some use for the begining powers again, but I think this way would be unlikely.

Back in the old days. The patron powers were bound to your patron's badge. As wabbit said, just 1 out of 4.
That's not the case now, but the badges mutual exclusivity still remains

Pretty much won't happen if the improved power doesn't exceed the strength of the Nemesis staff/blackwand or sands of mu/undead slaying axe that are awarded as vets reward permatemps.

How can they take too much time to be awarded?
You don't really have to actively do anything to build progress on the bars - they could take a year each to get and you would stil get there with practically the same amount of 'effort'.
I actually like mutually exclusive badges and the jobs taking 21 days as there are too many badgers that seem to think that badging means grabbing new badges within hours/days of their introduction to the game.
This approach is somewhat damaging IMO - every event or new set of badges gets blitzed in the first few days and soon after it's almost impossible to get teams for them. THis makes it almost impossible for non-hardcore badgers. All the better if a few mutually exclusive and long-duration badges can kick some of this attitude into touch and get a few more badgers taking a slightly more laid back approach.
Regards the OP suggestion - the biggest issue I see is that there is no similar places in CoV.

Some of the day job badges and powers are great, such as the Mercenary Frag grenades etc, and reduced tailor session coupons. However I do find the timed ones pretty useless unless I leave a toon logged off for a week straight to have enough time to do a few missions for the bonuses.
As an example though I can get more tickets by doing MA missions normally, than I could by logging off, logging in and using the ticket bonus to do a few missions...
Some smaller "Hidden" locations could be fun though, like the Corolax in Grandville, Easter Egg Room, Sky Raider base in Sharkhead and then the abandoned SG bases in Faultline etc... really unique locations!

I like this idea in theory but as JD points out there no villain equivalents of course i'm not convinced there needs to be a exact equivalent for villains maybe villains could get something similar but different.
Hows about
Log out next to a Arbitrator and gain a combat shotgun (natural)
Log out in a abandoned lab and gain Super mutagen formula (mutant) /Advanced Taser (technology) /Increased strength Tranq dart (science)
Log near a area of power and gain spell of weakening (magic)
Some work would be required to get these in game but not a great deal a abandoned lab would need to be added to mercy (which would be useful in its self) and also some area(s) would need to be designated a area of power shouldn't be to hard stick some weird standing stones and give them a glow and there we go area of power.
In more general terms i like the day jobs and there associated boosts and powers that they give and would be happy to see some more added into the game i really cant understand the problem some people have with the amount of time they take to get as there clearly designed in such a way that they take a bit of commitment and some time to achieve.
being something of an alt-aholic it's actually harder for me to move all my toons around to new day job locations than it is to wait the time to actually get the rewards

Yea i know that feeling waiting the 21 days or however long it is is the easy part its the moving about that takes a good hour of so tho thankfully i tend to rotate the toon I'm playing pretty regularly so i tend not to have to spend a hour or 2 just shifting toons from one location to another.
Incidentally, I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere else, but the WW/BM Day Job teleport power now gives charges instead of running on a timer, and is now actually extremely useful to charge up!
Don't know if the Base TP from the Monitor Duty accolade is on a charger too, though...

Re: the base TP i believe it now works on charges as well at least I'm sure the one sitting in my power bar had something like 2 charges on it.
Just new dayjobs.. even without powers would be welcome.
Make more buildings accessable. Make newsrooms... radio stations... electricty generators... gas-stations... fire-department offices... etc.

There's loads of interesting things they can do with day jobs there's the obvious temp powers and buffs which are fun and applying comic book logic if you worked at a Power Station/electricity generator your gonna end up with some freaky power.
But they could also have costume parts associated with the day jobs spend enough time at a fire station get a fireman costume etc.

costumes earned by day-job would probably annoy me a bit, but it'd be better than not getting them. An apron accessory (thinking it'd work like a reverse of the tuxedo tails) for a shopkeeper/waiter/mechanic, and I'll stop there because I'd be here all day. They could also do some extra weapon customisation things depending on certain day jobs. More powers would be welcome too, particularly using the charge system rather than the timed system.

Log off in the appropriate part of Atlas City Hall to become a member of S.E.R.A.P.H., G.I.F.T., D.A.T.A., M.A.G.I. or E.L.I.T.E.
You may only become a member of the organisation applicable to your origin, and the Day Job reward is a more powerful version of your Origin Power.
