The game hasn't really fallen apart. There's a just a difference in opinion of the direction that it's been taken in recently.

Yes some players agree with the direction it has taken while others don't. This has caused considerable friction and some of the more post heavy users of these boards leaving.
Personaly I think that if the devs fix the MA in a smart way, the game will flourish.

Personaly I think that if the devs nuke MA from orbit - to be sure - the game will flourish.

It feels ace to be be back,
I did notice a lot more people shouting for farm teams in atlas.
Yet to dip my toes into the MA. Spent my first night with 2 other very nice people wading through a few PI arcs, All in all a fun 1st night back.

Take it easy man, and standing in Atlas might not be the safest bet for sanity just at the minute. MA is a nice bit of kit though =]

Yes a handful or two of the longer term players are having a break/leaving the game. It's got nothing to do with the community which is as nice as ever, more to do with a general loss of interest in the game with nothing really exciting to make us hang in there at the moment. Positron shot himself in the foot the other day giving the impression he'd rather be doing anything else rather than actually chat to players. He might be good as the senior dev but he should leave the interaction with players to the lovely War witch

He did nothing of the sort 
He gave short answers because it gave him more time to answer questions - there were like a dozen new ones very minute, so he stuck to responding to the easiest ones which wouldn't create any or many follow up questions.

Well this is me back for the first time in 5 weeks thanks to a rather unexpected hospital visit.
I have (probably rather sadly been thinking about this game alot, couldnt even get into the forums on that damn useless patientline service they have) been so looking forward to coming back to the game and the client is updating as I type.
Although by quickly skimming some of the other threads it appears my beloved game has fallen apart in my absence. Hopefully this isn't completely the case as I can now no longer work for the next 6 months due to my recovery time so I intend on spending alot of time mulling aroung the city.
For those of you remotly interested I contracted Wegener's granulomatosis and I'm already a type 1 diabetic, so complicated...
However the reason I tell you this is that I was given less than the night to live at one point while the (excellent) doctors were trying to figure out what it actually was that was wrong with me.
You know what I wanted to do?
Play CoH...
Funny last thoughts huh?
But I made it... Obviously.
