Come back for GR at least man!
Have fun whatever you do. -
[ QUOTE ]
Yes, I'm back.
[/ QUOTE ]
Oh for [censored] sake, on one hand welcome back, on the other, for future referance don't post goodbye posts and come back two weeks later.
It disapoints people, and makes you look like a floating fat drama queen. -
Thank you for creating a great tool, it helped me happily waste endless hours at the office!

Hold on, why are we arguing over whether it's European or UK English. It's English. And the other is American English. I don't see you wanting to call it European French, or European Spanish.
[/ QUOTE ]
This is because we are interested in it's localisation, if we had a french canadian server, or latin america spanish speaking server, further clarification would be required. -
In SWG the American servers did not have a tag, while european english speaking servers where tagged EU, even better the system used by WoW might be implemented. Have all the English speaking servers on one tab with marks for RP servers, EU, and EU-RP. Then different tab(s) for FR and DE servers.
PS: Might be over sensitive to British nationalism trends since I've lived a large part of my life in the UK. -
[ QUOTE ]
why not just UK and US. since there is only one english.
[/ QUOTE ]
As a non British citizen I find this offensive. I still think the servers should be En-US, En-EU or US/ EU. Heck best would be AM/ EU. -
Makes more sense to me if it has to do with localisation, so it would be En-EU. I still hate the fact that this blasted board is uk.boardscityofvillains.com, at least eu.cityofvillains.com works.
-
[ QUOTE ]
Ideally, if this were to happen, I'd like the two English-speaking EU channels to be marked En-UK or something along those lines, so people would know they were generally English-speaking, but UK time zone rather than the ones that are bound to have more people on at US times.
[/ QUOTE ]
Seesh, not you too Cel!
It should be En-EU, not En-UK, there are a [censored] load of nonbrits in your own channel, don't forget us! -
[ QUOTE ]
if you want more facts you could actually use your brain and read his legal complaint to the court, that link, after which you could read his entire legal complaint in a .pdf.
[/ QUOTE ]
Gee you're a rude [censored], -more- means something other then one sides facts. I would like to hear NC side of the story as well. -
Yep, in matter of days, NC started transforming to SOE right before my eyes. *scratches head*
-
Garriots Ultima games are responsible for getting me hooked on RPGs, however I'm not rooting for anyone until I have more facts.
-
[ QUOTE ]
We seem to be very poor at whinging in comparison.
I'm proud of us.
[/ QUOTE ]
Relative to our server population differances, plus the fact that we have a lot of people who avoid using the boards due to language issues, I would hazard a guess that we are pros at whinging. -
[ QUOTE ]
I say, if you feel that you have abused the MA system enough that you may lose some progress or even your character, then you probably will. If you don't then you're lucky. You knew the farming was wrong when you were doing it, or you wouldn't be worried now, so you really have no recourse for complaint if you get punished.
[/ QUOTE ]
That is so wrong philosophically and moralistically on so many levels that it manages to move away from the absurd and into the funny. I would hazard a guess that you've never looked in to ethics. -
[ QUOTE ]
Mmmm... Imagine the bad publicity that will be generated if suddenly new players that had no idea what farming is and just chose Atlas as their entrance point, to begin writing in all over the Internet that their characters got blocked...
Woohoo!
[/ QUOTE ]
Bunch of new players who just got their shiny Mission Architect box. But I will admit we don't know how exactly this whole thing will work, if Posis post is taken literaly and not just meant to be a lot of barking and baring of teeth, which I think is what it is, then you might have a lot of angry people. -
[ QUOTE ]
Since you're obviously not gonna read my other post again:
Doing SOMETHING about that farm was not the wrong thing. They just did what needed to be done too late and now they're over reacting, doing more harm to the game, than good. It's ok to do something like this if you're head of WoW, or Steam. Doing it in this game... Insane!
[/ QUOTE ]
Er, part of the reason WoW has the numbers it has is that Blizzard would not release a gamebreaking patch, have a solution sitting on test for several days, release it, make a grandstanding statement, then retroactively start banning people.
Which by the way might not even happen, I'm annoyed but hopeful. -
[ QUOTE ]
Edit: Though I can tell there is a problem, outfitting a character in set IOs actually costs LESS than outfitting them with generic IOs...
[/ QUOTE ]
I don't think so actually, just buy common salvage for tickets, they are really cheap. -
[ QUOTE ]
I interrupt this thread with a special service announcement.
FFM would like to bring you this linky
[/ QUOTE ]
For the love of Dog, don't use this as an excuse to come back you floating fat [censored]. -
[ QUOTE ]
I agree, and i think if they want to say enough is enough thats fine, but do it from now, 7pm today or whatever.
Dont start talking about demoting/deleting/banning chars because for every 1-50 in 1 day char theres another that some poor sod who was just sick of not having stamina pre 22 going west with it.
[/ QUOTE ]
[censored] me, I never thought I'ld actually say this, but I agree with Londoner. I really do think that if they start hacking away at every character that touched the MA before this announcment was made it wouldn't solve anything but create further negative feeling. It -might- satisfy the more bloodlusty members of the community that loathed the MA. -
[ QUOTE ]
I admit to using the MA farms to bump up two or three chars who had become a little stale (only a few levels though), but if this ends in deletions then I'll be going, hopefully it's just a level/ticket rollback
[/ QUOTE ]
This, getting punished for using an exploit that was so blatant and used by such a large part of the community is silly [censored]. -
[ QUOTE ]
Sorry, but 1/2 the xp and no other rewards? The MA would be as deserted as the PvP zones.
[/ QUOTE ]
Yep, QFT, I don't care if the need a significant percentage of the dev team working on it to keep it healthy, it's time well spent. The MA is the significant feature that will set it appart from it's competition. -
[ QUOTE ]
I really don't think the ability to farm is the problem; it's always been here, and it stocks the market, as we've seen with I14. The problem right now is that it's too visible and too easy to do, potentially sucking in people who'd not have PLed otherwise, from too early in their CoH life. I honestly think that's the problem the devs should be looking to solve. Simple things like moving MA into its own zone would help prevent unaware new players getting caught up in it.
[/ QUOTE ]
But isn't the really high rewards an issue right now? Admitedly with a good Freak&CoW team we can level really fast, as fast or faster then the old Dreck farms, however we could never reach the xp gains attainable from the current Commtastic farm. -
@Chatarsis
So your point would now be that the last four issues didn't have much content. Last time we had serious content would be Issue 10 the invasion? -
@Sorudo
This comes from a proud casual player, I either don't get your point, or you are some kind of [censored]. You can get to level 50 in a couple of months of casual play, how is it that you feel threatened from people wanting to stop players from grinding to level 50 in a couple of days of casual play? -
[ QUOTE ]
Because plenty of people are already ignoring(read as not bothering with it) MA and thinks the last 2 issues have been wasted.
[/ QUOTE ]
I am willing to bet good money that more people have spent more time playing with the MA then in Cimerora or Ouroboros combined.
Course I can't prove it, and neither can you disprove it. -
[ QUOTE ]
Surely it's better for people to be playing the non-virtual content, i.e. the actual game, rather than the MA?
[/ QUOTE ]
Why? I mean I can see how some people have hang ups about canonical versus player created content, but using "surely" in there, that I don't get.
