No Marketing, Huh?
I will now divert the point of this post and focus on the fact that you two were watching reality TV....

See, I wouldn't class Come Dine With Me as reality TV. It's a gameshow. Albeit a gameshow that takes place over several days, with dinner as the rounds. Hell, as a bit of a cook myself, I take great interest in seeing what's being prepared, how it's done so, and what people are using to compliment each dish.
But the copy of CoH in the background was really quite distracting.
Well... uh.... well damn, consider me rightly rejoindered....
Anyway. COH advertising, how about that?

^ THIS.
Very few things left on that are worth watching. If watching at all, it tends to be Dave, and Top Gear re-runs.

Next time you listen to that theme tune, does it not sound like; "Now we're all - going to die. We're all going to die, in a hundreddifferent ways..." ?
GG, I would tell you that "I am killing you with my mind", but I couldn't find an emoticon to properly express my sentiment.

Methinks the lady doth protest too much.
It's a reality tv gameshow. It brings you into someones house and the commentator is always discussing how certain people get on with each other and the like. Yes they also cook, and I find it a lot more "normal" than something like Masterchef or Great British Menu, at least the things they cook are achievable and it's interesting to watch them prep things. But it is a reality show at the heart of things, real life people making and enjoying (or not) dinner parties.
Don't be so defensive FG. So what if you watch a small portion of Reality TV that you enjoy? Everyone has a guilty pleasure or two.

So you're saying... we need to round up everyone and send them to correctional facilities, right? Awesome. It'll be expensive, but I'll have the lads hire some vans and start doing the rounds.

I've always found a lot of TV is rubbish. At least nowadays most of the sport has buggered off to Setanta or whatever. I guess it's taking a while to fill that void with anything of acceptable quality.

And by the sounds of things its only going to get worse what with ITV getting shot of most of there dramas not that i particularly liked hart beat but it was a dam site better than there "celebrity has-bean dose something stupid" shows that now seem to be there staple.
I mean who watches these programs i mean i can see how maybe one would be interesting maybe even 2 shows about celebrities or Joe public doing something they wouldn't normally or being stuck in a house/jungle/island with some more randoms but surly we don't need the dam things back to back on every channel and when its not either of the above its some kind of medium program where (insert person you've never heard of before) talks either to more (supposedly) random audience members about there deer old nan or go's and "investigates" some old buildings. (i will admit i do enjoy watching the idiots scream there heads of at the least wee noise)
Um sorry ill stop ranting now

Maybe, but it's not American Tripe. It's written and stars Kiwis, and our humor is far more akin to the English than the Americans.
Latest episode of The Big Bang Theory from 01:06, you can see the CoV Collectors edition box behind Sheldon, along with what I think is Guild Wars Nightfall.

oh lalala. That lamp is just awesome. I wonder who made it and where I can buy one.
Oh wait... You mean that... blob behind the lamp? *puts on glasses*
Still nothing... *hacks into hubble*
I just can't see how a few seconds(to minutes) in a program on a shelf can be called advertising/marketing.
Clever product placement sure... But a real advert? Eh not really.
How'd you spot that?

The title wasn't entirely serious, I'm well aware NCsoft haven't opened a contract with Come Dine With Me. However, being a reality TV show, it's nice to see a real person, with a real CoH box, on his real shelf in his real home.
As for The Big Bang Theory - not as good as Chuck's product placement, but still pretty cool.
The screenshot came out that way when using VLC's snapshot, in actually watching it was at 1280x800ish resolution, thus much easier to see.
Fire Guardian and I have just finished watching a marathon session of the Channel 4 reality "hit", Come Dine With Me (shut up, it's hilarious). Anywho, whilst watching - we noticed something a little familiar in the background, a copy of City Of Heroes Deluxe.
We found is fascinating that someone who decided to compete on a cooking program would also play MMOs (there was a copy of WoW there too).
This thread has no real point to it, unless the Game Terrine man would like to own up...
