I do think thats daft. They already exist as a costume for the NPC Widows, and I see no logic in not giving them to PC Widows....le strange.

My thoughts exactly, i think it's silly not to have one .. they pulled out all the stops to get Crab pack sorted (yes i know its cos its used for attacks) but seem to have overlooked/forgotten/not bothered with Widow capes!

No idea what it can be, but I assume that those things are somehow hard to implement.

Perhaps, it is the anything going below the knees looks bad thing when animated.

It is however an item I really want to have.

actually the NW capes would use the same physics etc. as the Trenchcoat tail, affectionally termed a buttcape (since it's a cape which covers your bum and not your shoulders obviously) so there's already stuff in there for it to be used which is why a lot of people can't understand it not being made sooner...

So it would seem Dr_mechano but despite many may requests of putting them ingame they haven't done so. That could mean they are just plain lazy or there are some problems with it. and I keep hoping it is not the just lazy thing.

Or they're working on more content and fixing existing bugs (Hey, I can hope!) and just don't have the time. Just to throw out another viewpoint, and not urinating all over your idea as I have a Night Widow and want buttcapes for all!

There is one more reason... maybe...

All is being done to make it impossible to make a duplicate of one of the signature heroes/villains. Would this cape mean you could create a Ghost Widow?

Nope, Ghost Widow has animated hair.

True Night Widows and Ghost Widow also have unique pattern designs on their arms that are unaccessable to the player if I remember correctly.

Even without the the Widow Cape it is still fairly easy to create a non-hair flowing version of Ghost Widow...infact I've even seen a Ghost Widower (a male version of Ghost Widow obviously).

IIRC, there is/was a point with the 'buttcapes' stacking with normal capes causing problems.
I have a costume which uses the Wedding Buttler jacket as well as a fringe cape, and they do look a bit odd when looked close upon, the 'shoulder cape' becomes invisible where it overlaps the 'butt cape'
And I seem to recall something about performance issues with double capes (even if they do move the exact same way)

and NO I'M NOT CHANGING MY COSTUME. IT'S MINE I LOVE IT THE WAY IT IS!

Aye but the widow cape isn't a double cape, it's a split tail buttcape, also it is limited to your initial Arachnos costume, thus you would be unable to use more than one cape with said costume.

You are entitled to your opinion. I disagree with your opinion in this except for the no widows capes thing.

Sorry to bring a old thread back alive but has any of the devs on the US Side ACTUALLY Commented on if this is coming in or not? Positron stated before issue 12 went live that the widow cwere getting the capes not long after issue 12's release and its now almost issue 14 with issue 15 up int he next few months. Ghost any comments on this?

Well, trenchcoat tails are not widow tails, and there's nothing to make the existing NPC widow tails scale properly to larger or smaller characters... and no version of it to snap properly to male or huge body types.

Basically, NPCs are all the same size. And often all the same body type. What looks good on them may often only look good -because- of this. Making it look good on an assortment of various player body types and scales takes work.
