i know this is just for the mac user atm but i sure we be getting it sometime soon for the PC User Valkyrie booster pack

It's due to be released as a PC add on pack sometime in spring or somewhen, yes.

Edit: Though, that said, I may not be bothering with that unless there's something else bundled with it.

In my humble opinion, I think that beyond the wings and scale-mail, which do look nice, the rest is a lot overdone, even for a game that's one big cliché. The gloves look like a hockey goalie's mits. Still, I shall await more screenies of the other options before I pass a complete nay-vote.

I'm not sure what to make of the oversized shoulder spheres and those gloves look like glorified Tae Kwon Do sparring mitts.

And of course, the Mac users don't get the Pocket D teleport, or the rather useful Jump Pack, or the two costume sets that came with it... If they want those, they have to buy the GvE pack.

The special bits of this are going to be lumped into a pack and (very likely) sold for £5.99.

Mac users will get that, plus a game and 30 days play time for substantially more.

As the Mac game and the PC game are in fact the same game and aren't going to be on separate servers could i just bye the Mac version of the game and apply the game code to my account in the same way i did with GvE?

[/ QUOTE ]No, definitely. PC users can buy the full Mac edition and then access from either PC or Mac. What I'm assuming is that the booster pack will not grant access to the mac client and vice-versa for the GvE pack.

I'm not particularly worried about this one to be honest, Its ok... but not an essential purchase for me as I don't personally intend to roll a toon named Battle Pidgeon.

ML and I apparently agree on the overall look of the Valkyrie set.

Re 'upgrading' (downgrading) an account to include the Mac client... It's almost certain;y possible to do this. NCW would be very, very stupid to shoot themselves in the foot by making existing Mac players running it on an emulator start new accounts to play through their Mac client.

Bleh....whats £5.99? I lose more than 5 times that on a friday night easily.....

To some I can see they may have gripes and what not but consider this, we are still at the moment getting free issue updates, cryptic iirc only signed up for 13 issues to release as free, now we are at the moment showing as i14 being another free update ((if im not mistaken here...im sure ravenswing will correct me on a great many things...im just going off my faded memory )) so if thats the case then £5.99 for what is imho a really spangly cossie set is what I would happily fork out if that keeps us getting the issues for free.

But money issues etc aside, I really like it...dont get me wrong its a bit over the top as a whole piece but with imagination each part could mix excellently with other existing pieces, for example the enforcer set is in my opinion too much as a full costume but individual parts combine well with others...looking at it though the shoulders and the boots are something ive been waiting for...that whole segmented plate look..mmmmmmmmmm

Ravenswing doesn't recall Cryptic making any comment regarding number of free updates. As far as I can see, they will continue to put out free updates for a considerable amount of time yet, but may also decide to put out a paid for update which may 'bridge the gap' between heroes and villains, introducing a Going Rogue system, and a neutral faction.

By the time we are getting to the end of that paragraph, the amount of sheer guesswork and 'may'-ishness is so extreme you could bottle it and call it a political manifesto.

Cheaper yes probably though theres allways the chance that if like the GvE pack it actually worked out cheeper to bye the full thing than to bye the upgrade because you were getting 30 days free play time.

Also never underestimate the need for costume parts just because it looks a bit OTT all together it doesnt mean that individually once mixed and matched with the existing costumes they wont look completely kick [censored].
