Kiken was my first 50, and also my first character (from US beta). It took me well over a year to get him to 40, then a few more months to 50. Mainly because of chronic altitis.
As for 'pimping' a character; I just can't be bothered. I'll throw a few sets in if I think of it, and a KO protection on my squishies when they can afford it, but apart from that I generally just slot general IOs. In fact, Kiken is still running mainly on SOs...
However, it turned out that Smith was not a time-travelling Terminator

Ok so sure I under what you meant by it but... "pimped" according to who? The number chruncher or the casual player?
But I guess I could say yes... But if a number cruncher saw my "pimped" build it would be a no.

B - Never done it.

A) A few concepts, but I only had 2 alts over level 10 when I got Frosty Robot to 50. I have lots of alts now, but those 2 that didnt make it are both deleted.
B) Not entierly sure what you mean by pimping, but if you mean kitting out with flashy sets and stuff, Frosty, Glistening Gold, Purple Sprite and Arachnoborg (still level 49), are quite well endowed, although still room for more.
I really should do something about this signature.
A) Well had my second acount just after dinging 50, 12 on defiant and 2 on union I think. 14
B) well to my standard I have a few that I'd considered Pimped but I only have one purple IO in all my toons so not sure. Have spent about 3 Billion across 3 scrappers, 2 blasters and 1 defender in total, so I'm fairly cheap at an average cost of 500 mil, one of the blasters is still level 39 and has much more to go though

A) Created more alts than i can remember (most got to 20 then deleted 2bh), still a bit ashamed it took me 21 months to get my first 50.
B) My main is at the desired stage that i want it to be at, in that i wouldnt see the profit in raising its stats by 3/4% so i just use it to fund prestige/influence for comps. Dont think i'll ever be at the stage to WANT to purple/hami out a toon.

A) About 21 alts and various rerolls before I hit my first 50 (which took about 12months, but I did have a break in the middle). I now have closer to 30 but a lot are jsut concept ideas that I will make as I like designing toons.
B) I think I always lean to slightly a touch pimped on all my toons. I always prefer to slot sets if I can, and if not that then normal IO's (as I dont have to worry about them running out when I lvl). My 2 highest toons (50 and 35) both have virtually exclusive Sets in their powers but they aren't necessarily the best ones or at the highest lvls. My 50 still has lvl 30 something set enhancements which I haven't replaced yet so there is still a lot of potential in the toon.

A) it took just shy of a year for Starscreamer to ding 50 (he was my 1st ever char) and I think I made 6 alts during his run to 50, all of which have been deleted/remade since. This may seem like a lot having 3 50s fully done up (not fully purpled or anything though, I find my chars can work better without them), I do everything as cheaply as possible as I find it both irritating and dull waiting months for a single IO lol
A: My first character, War Crow, was my first 50, however, in the time between levels 1 and 50 I filled my alt slots and probably deleted a couple to be replaced, and levelled one of those into the 30s.
B: Pimped? This is something to do with IOs then? They weren't around when I used to play. I've started adding them to Crow, but I'm not buying many set IOs because I'm not that rich.

Not really pimped him out at all only on the costume front really, also have a peacebringer "Captain Star-bolt" who I got to lvl 38, then got bored of him and have recently re-rolled him out again.

A)Not that many probably a servers worth, with some deletions and remakes. But my first 50 was my 2nd main. I deleted my first main shortly before the freespec with i4 was announced.
B)My first 'pimped' build would be my first fire/kin, be which point I had two lvl 50s. And I only pimp from drops really... Though all my 50s now have some good enhancements I don't see them really as pimped.
C)Started playing with EU launch and Lost Ninja hit fifty shortly after the release of i4, my next 50s were a double ding on Blaster and 1st Fire/Kin and that wasn't until i11/i12 (12/05/08 to be precise) so several years after the first. My next fifty was only three weeks or so later.

a) Probably dozens - when I first start a new MMO I make and play several characters through the early levels before I decide to focus on one of them, but then I'll stick with that one character all the way to the level cap. At that point I either quit the MMO, stick with one character for the endgame, or rampant altitis sets in - I guess the latter has happened in CoH/V as I find the journey more fun than the destination, and levelling is so fast, so I just keep getting new L50s.
I'm not sure if I have any "alts" though - that word means "alternate character" to me - in past MMOs that meant any character that wasn't your "main" level-capped character that you used for the endgame (raiding, usually). In CoH/V there isn't much of an endgame so I have no "main" really (unless I count the first character I hit 50 with, but I don't play him much anymore), which would either mean I have no "alts" here, or all of my characters are "alts". I have 28 characters currently across two servers - 10 at L50, 3 being played actively (L39, L38 & L20), 2 are "dormant" (L20 & L16 heroes, as I'm focused on CoV atm), and the remaining 13 are new L1-10 characters I've made but not played much yet - I don't know how many of those would count as alts by your definition.
b) I have no idea what you mean by "pimped" a build - do you mean "twinked" (i.e. using inf from other characters to make one character "uber"), or fully "purpled out" with very rare IO sets and the best unique/special enhs possible, or just fully slotted with IOs/HOs and not using any SOs, or do you mean builds that we've prostituted out to other players in return for payment? 
All of my L50s have the best yellow/orange set IOs possible without dipping into purples. I still use HOs too, but I don't use SOs at all anymore. True, I have slotted two purple sets on my dom, but only "cheap" purples (sleep, confuse) to make perma-dom easier to achieve. I can't really justify more than that as I only tend to wheel out my L50s occasionally for TFs at weekends or for newly added content. I'd rather have all my L50s well slotted in case I feel the urge to play them, rather than focusing on 1-2 characters and purpling them up - but their builds only tend to cost 100-125mill inf each, at most 175mill for my dom.
Though I do share inf/salvage/recipes between my characters freely (some of my 50s are now devoted almost wholly to bidding/trading on the BM/WW and they fund and/or buy for the others to save transaction slots on my "play" characters for selling what they loot), so if by "pimping" you mean using inf from some characters to make other characters better then yes I do that.
Golden-Phoenix was my first alt and first 50 - took about 4 months of much playing!
I have no pimped builds - mainly because I am not on long enough to get the inf needed and I never did master the whole IO thing well enough to know what i was doing lol
