I point out that you could easily have said "Changed into an MMO" as to avoid puns. I smell treachury in the form of intended puns!

Makes you wonder - did they fish the board out, put up the poster, then thor it back in? Or did they issue Bill Poster with diving gear?

Posters in wrecked zones:

They use Ouroboros to put up the posters in a time before the zone was wrecked.

I really should do something about this signature.

So now you'll see guys with stepladders and poster rolls trudgin through Ouroborous

Actually I hope a premium was charged for that ad being the first. With all the extra publicity its getting from this discussion it would surely be worth it.

The "pioneer" advertisers in an untried medium always get a huge discount - Especially if it's a credible advertiser in the sector that the media owners/media sales house think is a core one for the medium.
I don't know which film company this is but if it's say 20th Century Fox then my old "buddie" and client Danni Murray who's the marketing director at Warner Bro's down in Theobold Rd in London is much more likely to take a punt on it next time he's got a Sci Fi/fantasy type film - 3 years ago it would have been me planning & buying the space for him 'cos that was my job(I know, I know.... many of us watch other genres frequently but advertising is often planned and bought in a facile superficial way but it is a numbers game and the idea is the "fish where there are fish").

If you want to bring in money for the game - Don't opt out.

I've made some other comments/observations on ad's in games and other stuff you might want to look at in the other thread here:

Maybe it's a "lest we forget" thing.

Nah, what we need is SapphicNeko to show up here with a "moist" pun

Last night I saw a Babylon AD ad in Cap au Diable near the hospital that actually had weathering across one corner, so it looked like the poster was starting to peel, right across Vin Diesel's face! I wonder if they got a discount for that one too Though I am glad to see the Devs making an effort to "muss up" the adverts for the Rogue Isles so they blend into the environment better.
