  1. Hi.
    I installed the test server updater today as per the instrutions here (copy the files to new folder etc etc) logged in and then logged out again.

    When I tried to log back in Kaspersky popped up telling me there was a key logger trying to redirect my keyboard input.

    I hit "deny" which terminated CoH Test.
    I then tried to fire up CoH Test again and as soon as I hit "next" the program closes.

    I rebooted and the whole sequecence happened again.

    I'm a bit loathe to grant a "key board redirect" access by "adding to trusted zone". I've gone into Kaspersky and granted CoHtest the same "rights" as CoH and it's still not working.

    The keylogger alert only comes up on the CoH test updater and noting else (inc normal Coh Updater).

    Help?
  2. I have the same problem - Again it only started recently.
    But I have found if I leave it for a few minutes it sorts itself out.
    I am running Kasperski and have "cleared" CoX for all processes.

    I am also experiencing slow loading times in and out of missions and zones (circa 1-2 minutes) and the lag at auction house is insane.
    I know that I am not alone with the latter problem as a quick ask on Sal's Badgehunters brought a deluge of "Hell yeah! I'm getting lag at Wentworths.

    Dunno if these are connected...

  7. Yes - It works. Also done it m'self on PC.

    How cool is mission tp - I wuld argue it's the best "reward" power in the game (I know it's not a Vet award but you know what I mean)

    I'm 32 days away from 48 mnth vet - And I'd gladly trade another pet (with 1hp and lots of aggro drawing I belive?) for another Mission TP (or even a "zone tp").
    What did I get for 45 mnths? - A badge and another respec....

    The Inv blunder was a "Doh!" moment.

    One last question: Am I right in thinking that Dam Res resists all incoming damage (of the relevant type i.e. smathing/lethal or Neg Eng say) after debuffs or are there powers that ignore Dam Res?

    I admit it.....
    I haven't a scoobie how this works.

    I know (think I know) that Hard Caps are "the game/devs wont let you take this any higher" and Soft Caps are "the available bufferage wont go any higher but in theory you could".

    Basically while I want to max my Inv tank's Dam res I'd a) like to know what I am achieving and b) don't want to waste slots/expensive IO sets if it's already capped out.

    So I have some questions.

    1) What are the hards and soft caps for damage resistance?
    2) Is that "per power" or total on your toon?
    3) How can I see what my combined dam res total is (i.e. all my powers + say 4 mobs around me and I have Invincible running = What?)

  11. Currently if you make a second build for a toon the second build starts with no enchancments (I am told - I haven't bothered for teh reason I'm about to state).

    This makes me think that's pointless having a second build unless:

    The toon you are doing it on is L50 and therefore you can generate sufficient inf to fund a second build without outlevelling/gimping one or both of your builds.

    or

    You are awash with sufficient inf across all of your alts that you can tranfer inf to lowbies.
    Now bearing in mind they wont give us a proper system for inf transfer it would seemn the Dev's want to discourage inf transfer and therefore this isn't a route they intended for us to take.

    The main reason I would want to have a second build is to have a team and a solo build enabling me to level solo if there are no teams going (ahem* CoV). If I am getting insuffiecnt inf to fund two decent builds (and lets face it without inf transfer or "lucky" drops it's always a bit tight slotting one build) then the system is useless to me.

    I am not fortunate to have suffcient "back to back" time to indulge day in day out in "lucretive" activities like TF's and I while I know many people here on the forums can and do I don't think folk here are always representative of the overall player base.

    I once heard that the devs wouldn;t spend time making something that would be of use to most players so:

    How about letting us carry across the enhancments from one build to another in a "respec stylee".

  14. I’ve been playing this game for 4 years and 2 months and, because of how infrequently I get to play the game (about 8hrs a month in one – two hour bursts), I have [u]never[u] done a TF or a SF.

    But…… This Friday 23rd Jan I can play for as long as I want, whenever in the day I want so……

    Who is willing to take me through a TF/SF?

    Because I’ve never done one it’d be great if someone experienced could just take charge and we could recruit the appropriate team members, sort out times etc in advance here on the forum.
    It may seem an everyday thing for you but it would be a really big deal for me.

    I have the following toons available (though the ones I’d really like to do are Statesman, Lady Grey, Imperious or Hess – I’ll be happy to do any TF/SF you like)

    The predownload doesn't contain the whole patch. It contains a snapshot of a beta version of the patch, which is enough to make your patchday download only be 53MB instead of 200MB.

    It was "spandex powers" that were requested - Shorthand for "powers that aren't weapons and are a better fit with the majority of the superhero mileu"

    Other than Thor I don't recall too many "Mace" superheroes and I can't think of any mainstream battle axe wielding superheroes.

    I do understand what you are saying but I feel there are "spandex" (and therefore more superheor relevant) powers missing when pretty much all the weapon based ones I can think of are covered.

    Now I know many of them are possible/are too hard but I think the number of weapon based sets are a)lazy, easy wins & b) (and you will never convince me otherwise) more appropraite to a S&S based game
