There are no pitfalls I know of. It's a simple case of buy the Mac pack and confirm which game account you want to upgrade. It's not a complicated process, even I managed to do it.

agree with Knight - i bought it recently for the teleport and cossie - and im running the PC version - was just a case of putting the MAC version code on my PC account.
Yes - It works. Also done it m'self on PC.
How cool is mission tp - I wuld argue it's the best "reward" power in the game (I know it's not a Vet award but you know what I mean)
I'm 32 days away from 48 mnth vet - And I'd gladly trade another pet (with 1hp and lots of aggro drawing I belive?) for another Mission TP (or even a "zone tp").
What did I get for 45 mnths? - A badge and another respec....
The TP is superb - I'd prefer it to be an hour, instead of 2 hours, but nonetheless, it's really great if a mission is across zones, or tricky to get to 
I tend to use it when I first join a team, especially if they are across multiple zones. I have quit a team so they can select the mission before reinviting me just to save 5 mins travelling.
So, u need to buy Mac special edition for 14.99, upgrade the existing game account and u get mission teleport, Valk cossie and one additional month of game play. Also u can use the game on both the PC and Mac.

It's listed in £ if you're in the UK and listed in if you're not. There's been the odd glitch tho where it thinks you're in the UK or outside even tho you are/aren't.

You need to make sure you use the select mission button, so the mission is red, not yellow.
If solo, doesn't the selected mission stay yellow?
Or does it go red once you actually click select task? but i think that button is not available when solo.

They added the button in I13 I think, it's there and turns the mission red as if you had entered it. Then the mission TP should work fine.

[/ QUOTE ]Unless it's changed in I13, the Select Task button becomes available solo when you enter your first instanced mission for that login. It's also accessible solo if you were part of a team that disbanded.

I don't have a Mac, but could I use the Mac pack to get it and upgrade the version I've had for years or is it best to wait? Also is there any pitfalls that I could fall into in trying to upgrade? Just so I don't muck it up
