Oh, that is just [censored]. One of the best looking costume pieces in the game and they give it only to those players who happen to either live in a convenient location or are able to afford travelling abroad to a convention.

Wasnt that costume shown roughly a year ago but was supposdly "shelved" because it only looked "the part" as a one piece?

The scope of these conventions is way too limited to justify the amount of work and manhours it must have taken to get that costume done.

I've no doubt these items will remain 'exclusive' for a period of time - say a few months or more - before opening up to other players, either as Vet Rewards, in a real money purchase, or as part of a future Issue for example.

Either these will be available via:
Veterans rewards. (Which is doubtful as offline rewards are incoming.)
Ingame badge hunting. (Also doubtful as NC would probably prefer $£€ for them.)
Purchasable means a la the Wedding Pack (Most likely as several players really want some of the current (online) veterans rewards earlier, even if they have to pay for the privilege of getting them in a pack.)
Offline rewards could include a free pack code, etc.

However if these are limited to games shows as true 'Exclusives'.
Then I can see NC facing a major riot from both sides of the game EU and US.

Ahhh!, so its not a customisable unlockable - rather a re-hash of the temporary costume powers we got Last Halloween event '07.

...suddenly, not so desirable.

From what I see, it's a Costume -Power- much like the Arachnos Disguise, a toggle that disguises you as a PPD Hardsuit officer.

But still, hopefully they'll either offer it at other conventions that don't require travelling to mainland Europe.

they seem to be taking it quite good at the moment i wanted drama.

But hey least its good that the EU community gets interaction with the dev team and gets exclusive ingame items too . . . oh wait

That would be a nice gesture. Personally I'm not really interested in it if it is not customisable, and thats only going to happen if it is included in the costume creator options.

Still, Congratulations to those who attended.

Leipzig (EU) and PAX (US) have an in-game costume code for the PPD Hardsuit.

The US Comic Con also had an in-game costume code:

It'll change people to the default model, which is the only model, which is a male PPD Hardsuit officer. No costume pieces that I certainly want, just a Costume Toggle Power.

It'd be nice if it was made more available, but it seems to be the thing nowdays. Look at Blizzcon for instance.

Yeah the Blizzcon goodies are pretty cool, Inflatable Frostmourne xD

I'm not too fussed really, the Hardsuit is pretty awesome but its only a temp power, I'd be damn annoyed if it was the actual costume pieces though.

It's cool anyway, even being a temp power; I'd guess it will be released somewhere near Halloween, like the last year.

O.k O.k my post did seem firey and destruction however im not tht mad over it. lol just tbh gutted and annoyed tht a cossie tht alot of ppl want can only be got when travelling far. (even a temp )

though i stick to what i said first and hope tht british convos get something nice aas well. (ingame wise) for just turning up.

also is there any sites tht tell u what convos are on n when cos i seem to miss a load of them while alot of other people seem to be in the loop

Hardrider, are you looking for conventions and meets which NC are going to, or just conventions in general?

If it's ones that NC are going to, then there are usually posts in the Announcements forum quite a long time in advance. Alternatively, check out Rockjaw's blog, which is usually pretty darn up to date on what's coming up.

What, like they hate me for having a Gold Badge Title on my main Villain? Or having a rare Forum Title? (Both of which are as a result of going to Memorabilia '07 and poking Aero_ a few times... that sounds so wrong, out of context.)

Nah. Hate's too strong a word. They might be a little jealous, but definitely no hatred involved.

I, for one, am hoping that there's going to be something fun like this for Memorabilia. I don't expect it, but it would be really good if the Boys (and girls) from Brighton did this. Of course, the PPD hardsuit... yeah, hard to compete with that.

I got given GW for absolutely no reason other than Da Jaw had a binbag full of them and didn't want to lug them all home again, at the very first Brighton Con. That's miles ahead of any PPD temp power or (apologies) forum title, in my opinion.
