Now that makes more sense and is actually true, but then it would of just seemed weird and pinned me as "The [censored]"

Actually, before that argument on Union Chat about EA games, I have never spoken to you before in my time on this game, so saying we have a background is complete rubbish.

And you have already stated to me and everyone else that has read this thread you are doing everything to ignore me in or out of game, so by saying this do you actually want me to talk to you in-game or not, because what you have said in regards to this is slightly contradicting and quite confusing. If you want me to apologise in-game I will and we can stop this pointless and tiresome argument, or you can stay as you are. I will say however that I am not totally at fault, and I'm not afraid to admit that. But are you? The ball is your court

And I have nothing more to say to you, You aren't much better then me when it comes to attacking people, I said "Pvp sucks" the other day in SBH, and you attacked me quite harshly, so I'll kindly ask you to remove yourself from my thread.

[/ QUOTE ]
I must admit I witnessed your "EA sucks" rant and your "PvP sucks" statement and they both struck me as rather inflammatory - whether ill-judged, or trying to bait others into an argument, I don’t know you well enough to say. I said nothing both times because it’s not my job to police global channels, nor would it have helped the situation, plus I was teamed and busy. But I do think you may need to be more aware of how others perceive your "statements" - those two certainly coloured my perception of you negatively.

But I always try to give everyone the benefit of the doubt, because text speak between strangers often raises ambiguities and misunderstandings that are too easy to jump on and criticise if you're in the wrong mood (or looking for an argument…). But firing off curt absolute statements of opinion as if they were fact is always going to wind someone up. Just try to imagine how you'd feel seeing someone say "PvP sucks" if you really loved PvP - perhaps try "I don't like PvP" instead.

Just last night when, after you described all non-S/L damage as "magic", you seemed to have another kneejerk snappy reaction when Biscuits tactfully pointed out that most people wouldn't see non-S/L damage as "magic" (there are 4 other origins, after all...) and might misunderstand what you meant.

Oh and telling people how to play their characters in front of other players, that never ever goes down well. Of course the other player(s) would get defensive, especially if they were all existing friends and you were the outsider. And especially if your criticism was based on not understanding how their character's powers actually work (like you didn’t with Rage). If you’ve played their powersets to high level then sure, telling them how you use that power can be useful advice - even better by /tell (they feel less admonished, you don’t open up your advice for team ridicule if you’re wrong). But there are players, as inept as they might be, totally unwilling to hear advice (they always think they know best) - you cannot change a player like that into a good teammate with a few quick comments - pressing the point just creates animosity.

You also need to accept that not everyone plays to maximise efficiency - some players prefer to play casually - they’re not right/wrong and their playstyle is not better/worse than yours.

If a player is horribly ruining a team I’m on then I send a /tell to the leader saying that I’ll leave if they don’t kick the problem player (or kick them myself if I’m leader) - sure, that’s not always an option on a TF, but on other teams if the leader won’t kick them I just leave - I’ve done that before, and cheekily even sent /tells to the good players on that team and poached them away for a new team I was forming and been thanked for it But I’m quite tolerant so players have to be pretty bad to evoke that response from me.

From what you’ve said the only things I can fault your ITF teammates for was not offering to invite you to their voice-com channel, or if they/you didn’t want to do that then not using /team channel out of respect to the players without voice-coms. In that respect I’m not surprised you felt like an outsider.

Other than that, while I’m sure you’re a good player and a decent person (I like to assume that of everyone I don’t know until provided with evidence otherwise), from my own experience of your in-game communication on global channels I’ve started forming the impression that you actively seek confrontation - your posts here have done nothing to dispel that. I’m hoping that future posts/statements by you will be more positive and reverse my possibly ill-judged first impression of you.

This wasn’t meant as an attack on you, simply as friendly advice that hopefully many people could benefit from - I apologise if you take it any other way.

A few days ago you were all talking in SBH about PVP, I said "Pvp sucks" (Haven't we been over this all-ready?) and the first reply I got was "[censored] you Bunny, A lot of people like pvp so shut the [censored] up" (That was most of the message, there was more but I just blanked it out) At this point I said nothing and went quiet.

Then came the Union chat argument were I said the exact same thing back to you, because I was still annoyed.

And I STILL don't want to talk to you.

How dare you! I have never insulted you once! On game or on this thread! You just can't seem to admit that you are not one of the angelic people you have painted yourself to be when you started this thread. I'm beginning to wonder why you have so many on your ignore list in just 2-3 days, maybe its the way you talk to people, if thats the case you seriously need a reality check.

I've given up with Shen, now he's just flat-out lying straight to my face, So I'm done.

These rants I go on about ingame (The EA sucks one makes my Blood boil because I've been scammed into there crappy buggy games more then once) And the PVP sucks one was only 2 sentances, and I actually proved my point by going to RV's Last night and I got killed by some Troller who then proceeded to gloat in Broadcast, You are right some players would see my statements as "offensive" or "aggressive" I'm not the best player myself at times (As I've said before in previous threads, conversations and teams)

I feel the diffrent text from "Pvp Sucks" and "I Don't like pvp" wouldn't of helped, I posted my reason straight afterwards and that reason was "I Don't enjoy pvp, mainly because most of the time It's some 13 year old kid that dropped out of school to perfect his l33t ub3r pvp skills and then gloats afterwards" (Note, that's not the *exact* line I posted at the time, but it's more or less got the same overall picture)

Last night when I typed that I was in abit of a hasty rush, I wasn't thinking to clearly about what I was typing and hit the first thing that came to my mind, I've known Biscuits for a short while not, if my typing seemed to of come off as "Horrid" or "Rude" then that wasn't the case, I didn't actually mean it to come off like that, I just couldn't see a better word for it.

I feel I should finally write out what went on in this ITF.

It started at around 1:00 and finished at about 4, as we went into the first Mission I had a feeling it couldn't go to well, we had 3 50's a 47 (Me) and several other Lackeys/Sidekicks, when the WP tank charged in all seemed to be going well, he died a few times but he's a WP tank, when I said "It's best not to use rage" (This was in whisper and then repeated over Skype my guess) I was told by the leader in team chat to "Not tell people how to play there class"

Later on and deeper in (Mission 2) we all started talking, and then some Blaster decided to hit on me (Sexually, you know teenagers because of my name etc? It doesn't actually bother me) I straight away told him I was a guy and then TOLD (not asked) That I'm a giant [censored].

Moving onto Mission 3, not much went on here, I was quiet for the entire time and said next to nothing.

Mission 4 is where I really started to get angry, We spent atleast 1 hour on Romulous because they refused to listen to me, after 30 mins of pure flat out wiping on Romulous I was 100% sure it had something to do with one of his Generals still being alive, He was hitting me for 1000+ (I turned 48 during mission 4) with Unstoppable on, so I was sure that this general was giving him a damage boost, 3 wipes later they still didn't listen to me, we got back to him when he had only half health and I refused to go in and die again, at this point I got told "[censored] you" "Go [censored] off then, retard" "ffs bunny are you always this annoying?" and my personal favorite "Way to go Bunny, you are so [censored] clueless" I finally convinced them to kill the last General and we got Romulous first try.

As for the Empath? I didn't really say what to do/How to play, I was just asking for buffs mostly.

I have skype installed and did say I had it installed and if they wanted me to join them, I had no reply to that question at all.

I'm not fussed if a player plays [censored] and is always AFK, What I do worry is when the player holds the entire team up for a lengthy amount of time because he didn't read the rage tool-tip (Note, I was still convinced at the time Rage did give a defense debuff)

Come on FFM, you have to admit that a significant amount of players likes PvP and to use the word "sucks" on a public opinion outlet is just asking for trouble.

Yeah.. Right. Have you even LOOKED in the PvP zones lately? I've seen more action in a nunnery!

Compared to PvE, the PvPers make up a smaller proportion of the playerbase than the RPers do!

Besides, as much as I think there's been a lot of toy throwing from prams in this thread, from BOTH sides; Bunny is just expressing his opinion, which he IS allowed to do. Besides... PvP DOES suck!

Expressing your opinion in certain ways like "suck" at least in my book can be confrontational and aggressive, which is fine in my book because I -am- confrontational and aggressive.

To put it to more extremes, you might not like RP or PvP, or a certain subtype of the above, like for example the kind of RP that tends to happen in Galaxy Girl, and I think it is fully in within anyones rights to say "I really dislike GG meets for so and so reasons." however saying "Galaxy Girl RP suck!" that's just flamebait and a bit rude.

Edit: made a correction to make my point more coherent.

Right, a brief OT bit to the post:

I've always found the telling people how to play winds them up. The only piece of advice I've ever listened to about playing my Eng/Eng blaster is "Fly above them, turn it into knockDOWN, please!". And if someone tries to tell me to do that on an indoor map without a big room, I won't pay the slightest bit of attention to them.
