Aggressive players.

I can say I have seen aggressive players in-game - the main problem with these people is just that they can't accept the truth. If you tell them what a power can do, they may whine and grooan and spam "You're wrong" all over the team chat.

[/ QUOTE ]
Of course, there is also the small matter that in this particular case the OP was wrong.

Aggressive players need a bit of common sense, and need to calm down.

[/ QUOTE ]
Or, those 'super skilled players' should just accept the playstyle of someone, rather then telling what to do every move.

There is no 'truth' on playstyle.

Just wanted to say that you do still suffer -20% defence but only when Rage crashes. You can still attack now during the crash(albeit with tiny damage) which is what was changed.

If somebody told me not to use Rage, and I play an EA Brute, I would tell them where to go (politely of course). I know my toon and it is down to me to 'manage' my crashes. It irks me when I hear people telling others not to use powers. I was in a team last week where a Brute was telling our Dom to stop using that *expletive* power, referring to Wormhole, as it was interfering with his Whirling Hands. Seemed to take it well though when we explained the benefits of Wormhole.

Oh and on topic, I added my first ever player to Global Ignore a fortnight ago and I've been playing almost 3 years. So, in my experience abusive players are few and far between. Maybe it's because of this that they really stand out when you do come across one?

It wasn't so much they were "Talking behind my back" it's just every move I made or didn't make they talked about it on Skype.

[/ QUOTE ]

How do you know they were talking about your every move behind your back on Skype, out of curiosity?

[/ QUOTE ]

Well, normally when they say "We are on skype, if you have something to say then say it in team" It means when I either do something they say or do NOT do something they say It's most likely going to be that they will talk about it on Skype and it really makes you feel I can't describe the word but made me feel Alienated from the rest of the group.

[ QUOTE ]
Hey bunny - sounds like missing the group invite for your ITF the other night (with Viking Furnace) was a blessing in disguise!

I know exactly what you mean though - seems more and more people forget that we're playing a GAME. I've taken to playing solo or teaming with my SG; PuGs are just an exercise in frustration.

[/ QUOTE ]

Hey Viking \o

No that ITF went fine after we went back to Normal difficulty instead of the one below max, after that we sailed on through and did it in about 1:40, the one I was in it took us 3 hours.

I do agree with the whole PUG's are getting useless thing, I tend to be in small SG's with not that many active people my level, so I take to just Lk'ing some lower levels to help them out a little, the ones I've met (Aside from one who was just talking to me because he thought I was a woman) are actually pretty nice, I was teamed with this nice Roleplayer last night till about 3-4 in the morning, Really nice guy and a good player.

And I will be truthful, I can acept players not playing as good as they should be, but when they are risking the lives of the other 7 players, then I get somewhat annoyed, In the past I've been a perfectionst when it comes to teams, now I'm trying to break away from that but each time I do something seems to draw me back saying "HELP THESE PEOPLE, THEY AREN'T SMART"

So they might just have been making the occasional comment, or even saying nothing at all? You were just assuming they were talking about every last thing you did?

If you were uncomfortable with the situation the only real alternative would have been to drop out as soon as you found out everyone else was on voice chat you couldn't access. To join, stay in when you found out what the situation was then complain (initially with a "they were talking about be behind my back" slant) after the event is throwing blame their way that doesn't really seem warranted.

And I will be truthful, I can acept players not playing as good as they should be, but when they are risking small amounts of debt of the other 7 toons, then I get somewhat annoyed,

Edited to reflect actual risks involved.

I do agree Standoff, but it was very late at night, I did think about leaving several times, but by then we were half way through and nobody could Lackey the other, so I stayed just for the sake of hopefully getting a good recipe and Exp.

i think it's not the aggressive nature of the players, it's just that more and more underages kids play these games.
ones had a 11 year old kid, calling ppl noob only because he didn't got his way.....

[/ QUOTE ]

Reminds me of a story roughly about a year ago when I was in a team happily teaming away when someone new joined mid mish. He ran onto the mission map into a patch of uncovered territory and promptly died, thus causing him to call us all Noobs and quit the team.

This left me very confused.

Overall I rarely have problems like the above, usually get them at around 1-20 mark where you get some new player trying to tell a 39 month veteran they're tanking wrong cos they're hardly hitting anything but thats about it!

I seem to get the opposite... the other day a player asked me if i was a Dev cause they never saw anyone with 42 month badge.

Another person asked me a million questions about things i had no idea of just cause i had 42 month bagde... I've never played a tanker past level 6 in my life, and they refused to believe me and kept asking anyway... luckily i could repeat the questions to a friend and had him answer

Altho, i can't honestly say i run into bad/agressive/dumb players alot. Sure i've seen some every now and then, but i tend to mostly ignore em. For some reason people seem to listen to what i say more than the other guy screaming and [censored] wanting it his/her way

Ok. I'm not being funny nor do I want to start an argument with the OP of this thread, but I think I was one of those "debates" in a global channel, Union Chat iirc, about EA games?
From what I can remember at least for 5 mins before i said anything, you were effing and blinding towards how [Censored] EA games was. Now at that time of the evening, or at any time for that matter thats not something anyone (particulary myself) wants to read. And when I did say something in regards to toning it down or at least stopping the swearing, you turned it into an attack towards me. Now, I don't know wether it was one of your "worst day ever" moments, and to be quite honest I really don't care, but don't come and post here about aggressive players when imo you can be one as well. I could have been more tactful when asking you to quit the swearing over a global channel, and for that I do apologise, but as soon as you turned it into an argument, now I see that being tactful and polite wouldn't have gotten me very far. If you wanted to continue your discussion about how [censored] EA games was you could've taken it to PMs. And before you say anything about "well you should have turned the channel off if you didnt want to read it", tbh I shouldn't have to if I don't want to see swearing and non-constructive comments. And I find it quite insulting that if I am indeed one of these people you have put on ignore because of the way I was, you were just as bad as myself if not worse in your behaviour.

Again I do apologise for my actions, words and behaviour and the manner I conducted it, but i'm not gonna stand by and read something which paints a pretty picture about one person when the reality can be, and is, far different.

Actually Shen, you aren't one of those people, I did an ITF with some people, that's who I'm reffering to.

And I have nothing more to say to you, You aren't much better then me when it comes to attacking people, I said "Pvp sucks" the other day in SBH, and you attacked me quite harshly, so I'll kindly ask you to remove yourself from my thread.

It's not "your" thread any more than its mine or anyone elses. You're the OP, nothing more. Anyone can post on it, as long as they stick to the forum rules.

(Actually its probably NCSofts thread since the 1s and 0s are in their database)

Of which I have already apologised for, unlike yourself. And to be quite honest, its comments and an attitude like that which does spark animosity and provoke "attacks" as you put it. Saying PvP sucks is not the wisest thing you could do especially as a lot of this games fan base is PvP orientated. My advice if you so wish to take its (which i'm guessing as you adamant you are right, will not) is to not make comments such as "pvp sucks" and express it as "I do not enjoy pvp as it's not my thing".

I'm not going to apologise again to you. Do what you want, take it how you want, because now even though i've tried with you to wipe the slate clean as we got off to a very bad start, I just don't care.

I'm not taking your apology because I don't want to talk to you, I've avoided talking to you in-game and everywhere else, if you want to make some Drama out of this then go ahead, I stated my reason for pvp after I said "Pvp sucks" anyway, but you had attacked me by then while I was still typing, and even after you still went on.

I'm done, if you want to cause some Drama then do it elsewhere.

I'm sorry, but judging solely from this thread when someone disagrees with you it's DRAMAH!, when you give other people your piece of mind, it's advice, when people give you their piece of mind it's aggression. I could be dead wrong here, but it sounds like monster double standards at work.

When someone disagrees with me based on what's been said ingame and attempts to keep on pushing it when I asked them to leave, It's drama, if they want to talk about it then can contact me ingame.

When other people give me a "Piece of there mind" when It's not filled with "[censored] you" "Your useless" "Brutes are tanks" That's called agression.

When I give people advice It's normally actually advice, and sometimes (Not all the time) It's good advice.

Me and Sham have a background, and now this thread has turned into "Let Sham and Bunny go at each other" So bassicly it's drama.

I've avoided talking to him Ingame, he came to this thread and provoked me, I defended myself.

So I was supposed to just post nothing while someone insults me?
