I've just read both posts 10 times to make sure, and I'm pretty sure what GR said. If you don't get it, check this:

You read the posts 10 times, yet totally failed to comprehend what GR was telling you.

Forum software, and forum hosters are two totally different things. One is the actual software that the user sees and post on. The other is the backend server that the forum software is installed on. Think of it like a whiteboard, and the wall the whiteboard is nailed to.

NCSoft have their OWN server clusters. All they will be doing is changing the forum SOFTWARE, or explained in a way even a five year old could understand.

The nice people at NCSoft have to buy a new whiteboard as the old one is all cracked and broken. Luckily the wall it was nailed too is fine, so they can just take the old one down and nail a new one up.

We'll be reviewing the forum structure as part of the new forums implementation. I, personally, tend to feel that the more specific forums are created the more you fragment discussion and end up with confusion about which forum a specific thread actually belongs in.

[/ QUOTE ]

What about having sub-forums? Like clicking on the "Player Questions" link would expand it to sub-headings like "Powerset/Build Questions", "Badge Hunting Questions", "Technical Questions" and so on?
Especially for something as wide reaching as player questions, when you might have to go through pages and pages before you found a thread that might answer your question - if you could break down the vagueness of the current "Player Questions" section into more specific types of questions, it would help a lot, I think.

Does that mean we have to buy new whiteboard markers ?

So when you got a powerset/build question you dont know where to put it.Subforum of questions or the related AT forum. Technical question you put it in the question subforum or the technical forum..

Too much specialization is not a good thing ends up getting lost in detail.Only really necessary forums that need to be added i think is a Market forum and even that prolly merge it with inventions.

Well, my guess would be BlueRabbit likes condensed milk, but doesn't have any at the moment and wants some.. and is thinking of it, therefore sighing because they haven't got any... crikey - what a long-winded sentence..

Hmm, folks getting sniffy over a GG joke because it's not made by one of the elite forumites who seem to spend more time lurking on these boards than playing the game? Laugh? I nearly started...

That said I do have to say I disagree with all the non-animated lolbot related suggestions (embedding, more categories, bigger avatars) because it would lead to more clutter. I don't believe the OP mentioned anything about sigs, however.

[/ QUOTE ]

Since the converse has moved on I shouldn't bring this up, I just can't help myself. Saying it's 'getting sniffy' is a slightly downplaying the original 'jibe'. As much as I and others may have made fun of necklines and animated hair or even smilies. As a general rulepeople don't blatantly ask for her posts to be banned. As a 'jibe' or not. That's not being 'elite' either. I think it's general etiquette. Many have had back and forth arguments with GG. Some heated. Some very annoyed at smilie replies. They generally don't outright say ban what she says (or smiles as the case may be).

I have disagreed many times and been infuriated many times on these forums by GG. However, as a player she is very very personable and helpful. So if I do make jibes it's always good natured, as i remember that.

Rather than only the 'elite' being able to make 'jibes' at GG may it not be the other way around and the unknowing try to be 'cool' and 'be one of the gang' by poking fun at GG? All angles I'm suggesting.

I could compare it to me making a joke about my mother, then not being impressed when someone else made the same joke about my mother. If they had actually taken the time and effort to banter and talk with her then it may be a different story.

For some reason late at night I felt strangely strongly about this. Can't explain why. I also feel that right now I've opened a can. There may be worms everywhere.

I see it as a funny joke to be honest after all she is very very spammy.

Other boards would of banned her by now just for the extra work load she produces.

I wonder where the nasty jokes at the OP's expense are then, for the OP could be called equally spammy.

Well it's hardly the OP's first visit to the forum.

Or is this some kind of post-count snobbery or forum clique thing I'm not understanding?
