they are not a group AT they are a solo AT with passive group benefits.
The toggles are an integral aspect of their own mitigation and thats why maneuvers at the VERY least should be taken ASAP. All the stacked benefits are just gravy but the leaderships that Veats have access to seem to be tarred with the pool powers brush which they are not.

cold corrs are better than ne SoA toggles check out the stats
there is already too much SoA should stick to SoA teams whilst other ATs get left out, i was play on 2 corrs thermy and cold and it took 30mins on both to find a team that
a) didnt mind having a non SoA in them
b) wasnt a team where i couldnt get ne xp (fills were goign out)
c) wasnt full of obnoxious 13yr olds (rant over)

My 12 MM kept getting invites of 5-9 SoA's. They these 3 SoA's with Capital names kept following me wacking everything i wacked.
As for new sets, elec set didnt make elec-only parties either. Was fun to do a /sea and see all SoA in party while all other AT were solo

cold corrs ahve to actively dish out their sheilds every 4 minutes, thats 2 per member and gain no benefit themselves and dont defend against unpositionally typed psi attacks. A wolf offers 16% defence fully slotted (to cold corrs sheilds 17.7%) just by standing around.
When it comes to comparing the benefits of /cold sheilds to wolf spider maneuvers then cold corrs come off second best when you factor in everything, thats not to say they are better than cold corrs as cold has some awesome powers but you cant lambast SOA just because you couldnt get a team. Besides any team that wants specific ATs on a team is never worth joining in the first place.

I was not talking about SoA-only parties or /cold buffs... just a reminder to all fellow VEATs, the Maneuver Toggle is what makes all-VEAT teams possible and fun.
I had some of the best groups ever yesterday and today, so your mileage may vary.

No ATs are specifically group or solo ATs. I will say that the VEATs are awesome in groups, VEAT groups and normal groups alike.
but the thing is how many groups this side have psychic cabaillites
Carnies, Arachnos, and now im struggling, Longbow, really struggling now (a few odd AVs) and that about it, more times than not that +psionic def toggling that stacks is pretty useless whilset if u have a cold spamming +def shields its helps more
im not saying SoA are useless becoz there not by a long shot in teams of 4/5+ but elitism about oh we dont want other ATs becoz they are not as good as us with our supperior shielding system is weak and your people who do that should be ashamed of yourselves, its not in the spirit of this game and it makes for a bad apperance for incomming newbs - just try and see where some of us are coming from - this game is more than just about 1 AT (granted 2 types and 4 sub types) but there are other ATs about - 5 Red side and 7 on the blue side and a whopping 14 in total (again granted i dont like khelds but if that what someone offered me i would take it and say welcome to the team) Just if u see this sort of elitism happen send then a friendly nudge. otherwise they will orstisize part of the community (rant over)

I must agree with the arguement for grabbing Tactical Training: Maneuvers ASAP. The benefits are too good for team and solo play to be ignored at all.
Oh and i guess the devs meant my 80foot radius toggles to be for solo play....
And trademark people are always going to want to play the new shiny when it comes out, this so called 'elitism' you talk about will even out

I always accept non-SoA into my teams. But there are not that much of them around, so all-SoA teams were quite often the only way to form teams the last days. So plz stop this elitism nonsense.
These teams really don´t work when only two out of say... six SoAs have taken their Maneuvers. I thought I was seeing a trend to not take it, but my Crab is now 27, and thankfully most people use Maneuvers and other toggles, allowing for capped Defense even if the team is spread out, allowing a really relaxed playing experience.

Yeah. It's not elitism. I aggree the first few days were just all SoA cos of the amount but it's evening out now. I've been teaming with lots of AT's now and being a lone SoA.
Yeah, my Spider is 36 now, only a handful of SoAs in this level range. Need more defense, the AoE aggro is quite painful lol.

i agree with the "if you can only get one leadership toggle just get the tactical training one ASAP". the whole team benefits including you it, costs less end then the pool version and it stacks with any other defence you or the team might have
theres really no good reason not to take it

even then 16% defence (when slotted) will complement what ever your crab has even if its all resistance also, it will help out your whole team and any pets you might have as well

I understand how you think, and if the 4 other crab spiders on your team think like you, you will all 5 miss out on 5x16% = 80% defence 
The same can be said of anyone who doesn't take Maneuvers though, even if it is a smaller buff

The point here is to take your toggles - jesus, they are BRILLIANT if you decide to team with another VEAT or even solo.A wolf can get near enough an SR scrappers defence to ranged attacks alone, 15% to the rest.
Not to mention it ~STACKS~ with other wolves - i mean seriously, at level 10 having a team of 8 wolf spiders running around with 80% defence minimum? I think "yes please, more of that ty" seriously god mode.
VEATs are a group AT, so please don´t forget to take the toggles to help the whole team! I know the builds are tight, put off travel powers and use Temp Travel Powers. Tactical Training: Maneuvers and Tactical Training: Leadership are 100% pure win & awesome, so...
