Regular Ice & Storm Theme Team

Time to change your sig then!
[/ QUOTE ]
Well spotted. Haven't played blue side for a few months now. It was a bit disorientating in the Safeguards, I kept trying to whack bus stops.
So about last night...
It started off marvellously when I won the costume competition (thanks _Echo_)!
It got better as we marched imperiously through the sewers dispatching everything before us with our combined frozen might.
And when we started wading through missions we became unstoppable!
Thanks for the great team and to Captain Snowspeed for leading it. It sure was a lot of fun!
Looking forward to next week already...
I didn't sign up for the original group, but got a shout in-game from Captain Snow Speed who is an SG buddy. So as it was about to kick off, I created one of the set uniforms and just had time to change a few minor details. Went to Atlas and got my invite. Quickly hitting level 2 , we gathered and went into the sewers and it was an incredible amount of fun. So few faceplants , but taking down purples like they were blades of grass and we were the lawnmower. XP bar was filling faster than you could handle. 20 odd heroes made it a major group effort.
I reckon we could have travelled through the sewer system across Paragon City and got to 50 without doing missions, well it certainly felt like it. We've all got Flux now and I thing Frostfires gonna get ,pardon the Ice related pun, creamed. Probably several times.
Certainly looking forward to the next excursion. Hopefully I'll be available for it.
Thanks for the fun.

So did I miss the speech??

Thanks to the magic of chat logs, no!
All heckling and random gibberish left intact, removed NPC chat, power info and zone alerts.

I could put up my script, plus emotes, if you want to act it out on your own, somewhere private...
The heckles and reactions were fantastic. Fo'shizzle!
I managed to miss this thread, mind if I join in late? D:
Sure, come along next week! If you want to earn a few lvls in preparation for Monday (say lvl 6-8), that would be awesome too.
Thanks for posting Echo's speech Canine. It was a very entertaining read and made me laugh imagining it more than a few times!
Drizzle their Nizzle. Honestly.

Gengice Khan - The mad mongul warlord who ironically got his powers after slipping through some thin ice. Thawed out 800 years later he's ready to wreck icy havoc on Paragon City.
Dammit I play red side too much.

I kinda forgot something rather important >_>
I'm going to my dads place for 2 months, which means I won't be able to play at normal times (this team would be in the middle of the night)
So have fun everyone, good luck, I'll join in on the next team
Would love to join in on monday with my cold / ice fender Shiverwitch. Should be able to make 9-10 by monday and have my jetpack sorted if there's a slot available and my wife will let me play (is having to pop off to do household chores every 2 minutes considered a no-no?) Please pretty please can I come?
re: Ice/mental names :
The Menthol Patient - a traumatic childhood of parental abuse and tic-tacs has left the player character with minty-fresh breath that can crystalise vapour from air, but a scarred mind that cries out for justice.
Psicicle - when a combined liquid-nitrogen-juggling / card trick act goes hideously wrong, a childrens entertainer finds himself imbued with awesome powers, poor circulation in his extremities and a boatload of guilt from the parents of the kids who didn't survive the botched birthday party.
Frigid Brigid - a strict catholic upbringing leaves it's mark in the heart of young Brigid, leaving her introverted, distant and in denial of her sexuality. But you know what happens when you mix schoolyard taunts, repression, puberty and mutant genes, right? Kablammo!
The Climate Primate - either a gorilla or high-ranking priest (your choice) who has come to Paragon to (warn of the dangers to his habitat posed by / preach about the will of god sending punishment to the wicked in the form of) global warming. Psychic powers explained away by holy might / being shot into space by the russians for experimentation (I presume you can tell which origin is which, but mixing and matching is fun too
The Blizzard of Id - Cold word + mind word = pun!
Sorry to hear you'll have to miss out again, Vahiki. Maybe next time eh?
Deadly_Buzz, you're of course welcome to come along if you can make it. We're not too fussed about team slots right now, since we had 3-4 teams last week!
You have good taste in puns.
<pokes thread with a stick>
Hmm, seems to be sleeping.
<Billy Cotton> WAKEY WAKEY! </Billy Cotton>
<ahem>
Remember folks, 7pm tomorrow evening. More mayhem and faceplanting. It doesn't matter much whether (See the clever pun there? No? Neither did I...) it's us or the Outcasts faceplanting, so long as there's some happening.
So, tomorrow evening.
<ul type="square">[*] Frostfire.

Will me there as Reiyn again, with her all new and improved outfit ^_^ Look forward to seeing you all later on
I'm glad they judged the costumes last week then ;^)
See you all later...
I'll be seeing you all tonight then.
The meeting place will be the inside the Hollows, near David Wincott.
Average level of my team at the end of this evening is at or about level 16.
And we outlevelled Atta/the CoT Trial too
Serves us right for running Frostfire on Rugged, I suppose...
Another good night.
Herostats is reporting that I made 55.44 bars of xp. Which is nice. Shame it'll slow down a little from here on in.
Got The Stamina pre-reqs sorted, and Freezing Rain, so I'm pretty happy atm.
No travel power yet, but that's nothing new for me these days.
Well, next week means Skyway Safeguard, and Faultline.
Should be.... interesting, as the more chaotic powers in Storm and Cold Dom should be rearing their heads.
Later all.

The meeting place for next week will be Faultline, around Mirror Spirit.
Radio missions there will yield the Steel Safeguard, and once that's complete the Faultline arcs will be next.
I may or may not be able to make it next week - I really won't know for sure until next Monday. So don't be surprised if I'm not there. I'm sure Canine will do fine in coralling you all without me.
My newbie ice control/trick arrow toon, "Brass Munkey" was to small to get into the hollows. I logged in my lvl 35ish ice blaster instead. Sadly he was parked in sirens call and I got a bit.. distracted :P
I'll move him to steel before next monday.
My MA IDs:

Hey Guys, Lanzarote was good, a bit burnt though
I've read through what i missed and will get my char up to about 16 before next weeks meet.
Good to see everyones having a good laugh, i'm already fidgeting!
Radio mish's next week then, meeting Faultine
So far, this has been tremendous fun. Thanks to those that are organising it .
How do I like my MMOs? I like them the way Paragon Studios used to make them. - a fitting tribute from kiasa.org

And speaking of organising it....
Going to need some volunteers for team leads next week.
I'll take one, as usual. I think Captain Snowspeed may well take another, but that leaves a third team needed, on recent turnout.
Other than that, 'organising' may be too strong a word. All that's decided is a general thrust for the evening, then the lunatics are released.
Oh, and we'll start mixing up the team rosters next week. Try to stop 'cliques' forming.

I don't mind leading the third team as Ms de Wynter and have no real qualms about who comes with me for the ride.
I have Skyway Safey set up in Faultline, so can do that, then start the arc.
I'd advise anyone doing Faultline to pick the missions along with the usual mission owner so you can follow the arc and get the clues* that will unlock Ouroboros for your toon**.
*It's only Agent G's clue that counts for Ouroboros, but its a good set of arcs, so might as well follow the tale together.
**Of course someone could just open a portal for you. :P
