Regular Ice & Storm Theme Team

Perhaps, but if we do miss any temp powers in story arcs, we can always get them with flashback.

I'd rather finish the Faultline arcs frist, myself, since the final mission is lots of fun.

Our team ended the evening on level 21-22 as well. We unlocked Agent G but didn't start his missions, though we did get the Steel Canyon safeguard done.

It was fun tanking for my team, they kept things nice and chaotic for me. After hectic beginnings we meshed well with very few hiccups later - and I got to do a couple fo stupidly big herds so I'm happy!

Plus with five Snowstorms in the team, we ensured that any AV that happened along would be completely indistinguishable on screen!

The meeting point for next Monday will be Mirror Spirit, again.

I will try to do what I missed, alone. That was I will be ready for Agent G!

I am very sad that missed that

Durn, missed it too. Although in my defence, there was no way I could go another 24hours without finding out the result of the Spain/Italy match that I'd taped on sunday, gotta have priorities. If anyone else is desperately trying to catch up soloing through Yin or Doc's missions (why won't they let you drop the hard ones? Swines!) and needs a lazy non-healing defender as company, look me up during the week

I've unlocked Agent G, spoke to him, got the "Get stolen codes" mission and I am waiting next to him!
Yay!

This is your semi-regular Sunday evening reminder.

Tomorrow evening, there are expected to be severe and localised outbreaks of unseasonal weather. Please steer clear of Faultline if such conditions are likely to cause problems for you.

7pm, Mirror Spirit, Faultline.

I didn't make last week but i'm pumped about tonight, my chars lvl 19.

Can we get an update of peoples levels? Can anyone volunteer to make a note of these at the beginning of the night?

Tonights weather, southerley wind followed by severe snow and hail storms, expect frostbite if not properly equiped

I've taken Pole-Star to lvl 22, so if this turns out to be too high i'm happy to exemp .

Most of our team are around level 22 I think and tonight, like Orville, I'm hoping to be able to fly, right up to the sky!

Weather permitting of course...

Psy is level 21 now, so just within reach of some shiny IOs I've set aside for her .

Yep, I *think* that everyone except the toon (whose name I forget, sorry) who was SK'd last week from my mob had hit 22.

We're at least one mission into Agent G, and some of us are a couple in.

As far as travel powers go, well... I'm not running a good record at the moment for getting travel powers in a timely manner. My last hero 50 didn't get a travel power until 49. My current Stalker still doesn't have a prerequisite at level 35, and my stone/fire scranker didn't get TP until 41...

Safeguard/Mayhem temp travel powers just make it too easy to put off getting a travel power Well, that and I just like running around the city, and stretching the temp travel powers as far as they'll go is a minigame in and of itself in my somewhat warped little mind.

Looking forward to tonight (hopefully the Global Chat server isn't down again).

Hopefully we'll get Faultline finished and get cracking on Striga today. I love that crazy island...

Not bad.

Agent G done and dusted. All 3 AV's in the final mission tanked and ganked at the same time with, IIRC, no faceplants. Although it was close a couple of times.

An Illusion/Storm as the only healer on the team made life... Interesting.

However, barring a few brain failures on my part over the evening, and us losing a member early on to what looked like a DC or seriously long AFK (not sure which. Shiverwitch, if you read this thread, let me know what happened.), we ploughed on. 4 or 5 missions into Stephanie Peebles' "arc". Slowly clearing the random missions off, heading for the shiny shiny Wedding Band.

My mob (I think) are all at or around level 24. ish.

Personally, I'm 1/4 of a bar off 25, but never mind.

Another good evening.

And speaking of good evenings... Good Evening. Bed is calling

While our team seemed to head through the misssions at a slower pace, we ended up at the exact same level, with almost all of us 24 (and myself 2 bars from 25).

We finished Faultline but haven't begun striga yet. We may miss out on Weding Band unless we Orobitidobbity it, but that's no problem.

Great night, great teaming.

Next week we meet... in Striga, somwehere I guess. Where's a convenient meeting spot?

Posted

Convenient? Stephanie Peebles.

Less cramped and safe? On the Deck of the Ferry.

Sorry about that - That was a DC due to the router getting accidentally unplugged followed by a "spousal intervention" which prevented me from recovering. Hope you didn't wait too long before kicking my ghost off the team.

It's a shame about your DC as it was another thoroughly entertaining evening.

We had a good team last night, i was running a bit late but managed to fit in with Pole Star and Ms Styx etc (thanx again for that guys).

I jumped in on the 4th mish for Agent G (i think) we managed to get the whole lot done with just me doing o2 boost and our one tank (sorry can't remember his name, it was Bas.... something or other) herding them into a small cone for us to snow storm the whole lot.

I ended the night straight after the PsychoChrono arc at about 09.45 GMT at level 22, awesome night all together

That would be Echo's Tank - Belligerant Lass. That was some of the sloooooooowest herding i've ever seen

Good night all round. Not as much chaos as I would have liked (where was all the KB??). Going to pick up Torrent soon and see how much trouble I can cause with my defender.

Posted

Without the herding, most of AoEs would hit just few, due to the chaos, making the entire team going slow, so I prefer Lass' herding!

Posted

I was promised chaos!! I want my chaos dammit.

Just kidding, I did actually find it very funny. Lass would do her best to herd up a mob, the slow powers would hit them a little too early and then they would run at about 1 mph towards Lass' herd spot. Lass would then run around like a loon trying to get them all together. Funny stuff!

Posted

The funny stuff was when Lass was dying, but then again, that is what a responsible tanker does:
Die instead of his/her team!

This chaos is enough for me hippopotamus!

Lol, I know Lass would be running round the room follwed by a slow mob, In our (Storn Summoners) defence we didn't know how many he was tying up, on many occasions we would use snow storm when he passed the first mob and he would keep going "Run Forest Run" (you had to be there)

Good fun as always! I'll be away on holidays the next 3 Mondays so will catch up with Psy (lvl 24 now) at some point. Keep it cool!

On that occasion, I didn't trust my unslotted Glacial Armor to sustain me and so kept my CE on for the -dam debuffs. The herd got there eventually though (more or less).

I took Superspeed specifically for this tactic. Zipping around with CE and Icicles on seems a faster way to taunt a large groups than relying on taunts and SMASH, to me at least. It does look a bit weird with me dancing around them all, I know. But I look busy!!

Hehehe! In my defence, I always warn my teammates before I choose to herd and I would NEVER EVER herd just one group (there's no point since it's slower than general play, and what's more I don't think one group qualifies as a 'herd'! ). So you will see me dash through one mob to taunt them with Icicles (and sometimes CE), before heading to others, then circling back on myself or leading them all round a corner.

No worries, I know you guys are just poking fun! If I was too bothered about tactics I'd be a bit stricter with the "no attacking until I say so" rule. If we observed that tactic correctly, the victims would be bunched into much tighter, potentially larger, groups and less likely to break aggro when the mass AoE hits.

But no matter, we've yet to be in an encounter strict enough to necessitate "Go Time" so I'm fine with itchy trigger fingers for the most part. The most important thing is making sure when you guys plow in with your AoE, you don't get severely hurt.
