I don't mind leading the third team as Ms de Wynter and have no real qualms about who comes with me for the ride.

I have Skyway Safey set up in Faultline, so can do that, then start the arc.

I'd advise anyone doing Faultline to pick the missions along with the usual mission owner so you can follow the arc and get the clues* that will unlock Ouroboros for your toon**.

*It's only Agent G's clue that counts for Ouroboros, but its a good set of arcs, so might as well follow the tale together.

**Of course someone could just open a portal for you. :P

[/ QUOTE ]

***Of course, you'll only be allowed in at level 25.

****And it's worth following the arc for the huge Story Arc completion bonus, too

Noir did a dandy job of leading one of the teams last week.

Anyway... I managed to get an early train back, so I will be able to make it tonight after all. See you in Faultline!

Another decent week.

Skyway SG, Jim Temblor and Penelope Yin's arcs done.

I hit level 20.5, which means Aerial got Phantom Army and Stamina (Huzzah!), and I think everyone else on my team got to level 20 also.

Next week we've got options. (all options are assuming level 20)

<ul type="square">[*]Striga part 1. (Wedding Band, and it's Striga, You've GOT to do Striga )
[*]Faultline Part 2. (Ourobouros Portal access, Arachnos Disguise temp power, Lots of AV's to smack silly.)
[*]Cape Mission.
[*]First Additional Costume Slot street hunt (Tsoo).[/list]
I plan on doing all the running around for the Cape mission solo before next week, just leaving the actual ganking of the Lost in the Mausoleum to be done.

I'll also debt cap myself and drag an unexemped level 50 into some radio missions along with me so I can get most of the progress on the Steel Canyon Safeguard done without me getting any xp. I'll leave the last radio mission and picking up the Safeguard until I'm actually 21, since picking a safeguard at 20 just gives you the Skyway one again.

Of course, for those who fancy eventually hitting 50 in the cape mission, which is always entertaining, not taking the cape mission is a viable option too

Anyway, enough rambling. Another good evening. See you lot around and about.

It might not hurt to leave the cape, cossie and safeguard missions until the week after next, since there are still folks who are not yet lvl 20. I figure we'll be at most lvl 23-24 after next week, still in range for the safeguard, and of course there's no limit on when the cape and cossie missions can be done.

Seeing how the 20-25 range is really tight for content anyhow, it might be better to leave the non-urgent stuff (cape/cossie) for later, or even leave folks to do that in their own time.

Anyway, it was a good night last night, very productive.

Personally I managed to find lvl 20 and lovely lovely Stamina - though my tank's still without Glacial Armor and a travel power. Fortunately with the amount of Defenders in the group (especially Colds) I can probably survive a little longer without GA...

Another excellent night!

Another rocking and fun team!

(and of course Hurrah for Stamina)

Awesome night last night guys.

My highlight was when i arrived late to get into a team (19.30 GMT) at Faultline Trainer and stood around for a bit no cape in sight. Then everyone turned up to redo teams, it was cool to see everyone.

I managed to get my char to lvl 16.5 so i would like to see some more safeguard missions next week please

'Twas epic. We were indestructable. Except for that one time when I ran off on my own to pick a fight with a blood widow but some things are best forgotten.

Don't think there's any harm in giving people a little homework - if we all arrive at roughly the same level and ready to do the same mish, it keeps the teams fluid and adaptable instead of pidgeonholing you into specific groups. It also means that if you have to drop out of the theme night your character might actually have a viable contact to get a mish from. Although Azuria is still waiting for me to call about those 10 hellions....

The extra cossie slot should be do-able. The Tsoo in Steel around the tailor are usually 15-16. If we go in all guns blazing at about 21, there'll be zero effort required and a bare minimum of experience picked up. Think of it as a test of leadership - can you keep your team together and focussed when faced with the awesome power of a new pair of snow-themed pants?

We weren't quite indestructible.... There was a near team wipe in the sewers when we got aggro from everywhere at once, but we recovered due to a few people running like scared little girls when it started going south (guilty as charged yeronner ), and Blap Zap choosing that point to level and get the new mini-MoG buff. That combined with pulling the remaining aggro through a choke opint meant we got it back under control.

Nah, homework's not really appropriate for this thing. It's not supposed to be serious in the slightest.

I was just mentioning options that are open, and what I plan on doing for next time, since I seem to be a regular team lead. Everyone else can just turn up and change the local microclimate if they want. It makes the evening flow a little easier if you're not constantly faffing around with radio missions, and can instead just drag the team into a Safeguard before moving on with other things.

As Echo says, it may be worth holding off on the mass Tsoo Cull in Steel Canyon until absolutely everyone's at level 20. I was forgetting that my team was not necessarily an accurate indicator of where everyone else is at.

Now that bit of the sewers was especially entertaining!

Newbie question time. What is that nifty bind that allows you to chat in our global channel so that it shows your global name followed by character name?

Posted

Try something like that (although I am at work and can't test it):

/bind f beginchat /send "Cold Front" [$name ($level)]

Yep, more or less.

/bind &lt;key&gt; "beginchat /send "Cold Front" [$name, $level] "

Notice the trailing space before the closing of the final quotes. that means you hit the bound key, and then just start typing.

Personally I use numpad keys for may chat channels. 0 for Team chat, 1 for my usual Global channel, and 2 for Cold Front.

Are we meeting in faultline again this Monday?
Oh and while I'm posting, cheers everyone it's been great fun so far.

Posted

Yep, we're continuing with the Faultline arc tonight. The meeting place is in the same place as last week, by Mirror Spirit.

I probably won't be able to make it to tonight's session, it's my brother's birthday today and a last minute meal has been organised (in a restaurant and everything...there's posh).

Let me know what level you guys get to and I'll catch up.

Just a heads up folks.

Global Chat is currently burgered.

Assuming it doesn't come back before 7pm, we'll have to do things the old fashioned way.

Due to power black out in my area and because I don't want to stress my UPS, I won't be able to participate tonight.

Another decent week.

My lot pretty much all hit 22 (I think).

Doc Delilah's done and dusted. Steel Safeguard done and dusted. Got a couple of missions into Agent G's arc (although the team had shrunk a little by then).

I think next week it'll be moving on to complete Agent G and poke our heads into Striga, possibly also Cape Missions and second Costume slot street hunts, depending on time.

Personally, I think I'll do the running around for the cape mission before next week, since it's a bit of a faff on.

Stephanie Peebles' arc can take a fair bit of time, since IIRC, her missions don't have a fixed order, so you can repeat a good few of them trying to get everyone onto the Wedding Band mission.

Well, later all.

Sorry I couldn't make it this week, something came up. Hope I'm good for an SK next time, though I can always do some extra work in the week. Hope it all worked out nICE.

It was another good run, can't believe how good the teams are. Barely ever any deaths and the minions stand no chance (and nor do the AV's tbh).

Striga good for next week, though idf we complete Agent G arc then we will no doubt out level the wedding band (lots of deafeat alls in the arc). Perhaps could start to do some freak bashing in Talos (freakolympics contact is about this level)?
