Regarding the channel: In the short term, an addiiton to the MotD notifying people that they may be kicked without warning if they don't belong, as a sort of disclaimer, might help things tidy themselves.
is it to late to join....was thinking of rolling a plant/stormy when i12 goes live.

Not played the hero side of things really, so it should be entertaining to see how the other half live.

Right, Piranha Coldshot, Archery/Ice Blaster is standing at level 2 by Ms Liberty in Atlas Park.
I have an Ice/ Tanker, an Ice/ Blaster, and a Storm/ Defender already. I'd like to try something that isn't Storm related, and I keep hearing good things about Archery's Rain of Arrows.
So I have a name, a costume and a biog I'm happy with, so this alt may last for a while. I'm better at attending than organising things. See you all soon .

Hardly speculation though is it 
- you've already seen it in action (albeit with Stone Cages rather than Frostbite). Ice Slick isn't going to work well with Stormies around anyway IMO.
Anyway, now that I'm here... most likely wouldn't be able to commit to a regular night in any case, but just out of curiosity would you guys consider stretching the concept to allow Electric Blast as well? Seems to fit with the whole stormy weather idea (and I was already planning an I12 Elec/Mind blaster...)

So as we have so many people interested I propose a sewer run for the first session or two. Will allow all the teams to play together and with our global channel it could be great fun. I've never done a sewer run before so new and exciting stuff. We could then move onto the redesigned Hollows!

You've got me in there twice. I'm NOT going to be tanking. I've already got an Ice/Ice/Arctic tank that I'm quite happy with, thank you very much I'm going Illusion/Storm with this.
Regarding the SG aspect, Echo's already stated that this is intended to be a more 'casual' team, and I know that I for one will be using my usual SG's to get the early benefit of the base transport links. (well, that and because all of my heroes are in those two related SG's) the global channel is intended to be the main 'touchstone'/comms hub for the team IIRC.
Of course, I don't see any reason why other people who are so inclined can't start their own themed SG when they hit level 10.

I was trying to be moderately subtle about it :P And I never really saw much of Days going into full blown chaos mode since we both spent a fair amount of time solo working on those toons, and you were relatively restrained when teamed

And there was me thinking you may pick up Maxwell again if Elec was permitted. From what Echo said last night, the lack of any slow in Elec blast is the current disqualifier on it being a 'permitted' set.

Agreed. I'll be using my own SG teleporters for the early game at least. I've tried a theme SG int he past and while it worked out okay, I'm certain there are folks who would rather be earning Prestige for their own, better-established SGs instead. (Case in point: Canine )

This is exactly how I envisioned the first few weeks playing out. Street/sewer hunting for a lark, then from level 5 a rush of radio missions to get the safeguard in Kings. Then with our Raptor Packs we're ready to embrace the Hollows.

Disqualified is a strong term... thetr'es always Elec/Ice or Blasters and Storm/Elec Fenders.

That's fair enough - and like I said I doubt I can commit to a regular night anyway. I do already have a couple of appropriately themed toons I could exemp down if there happens to be a spot free on a team when I'm on - End of Days is Earth/Storm and Tundra is Stone/Ice.

Ah, which reminds me.
Those of you taking Ice Controllers.
'Normal' procedure with Ice Controllers (not that I ever tend to pay much attention to received wisdom on how to play powersets) is to take Ice Slick and not use Frostbite much as the -kb in it nullifies the damage mitigation provided by the Slicks Knockdown. I was thinking though...
Later on, when Tornadoes and Storm Clouds start popping up, it may be worth going more into the AoE Immob than the Slick, to give the swirling winds of doom static targets to shred.

Regarding the channel. We've got until I12 goes live to see how many 'strangers' appear in the channel. I say wait and see how bad it gets. It's not like it'd be hard to make a new channel, except for finding a new name for it.
Like I say, I favour waiting for now, and leave the MoTD in channel as it is. It may well just resolve itself.
