A Farming Oddball, Arch/Fire
Think the problem that you will have here is the lack of damage that you will be doing... and the endurance you will use up to accomplish this. Not to mention the Res you need to survive a 6 man mission solo with all mobs at least +2.
Its a nice Idea,, and it would probably work super with a fire/kin too.. but solo i can see a few issues that you will have to resolve first.
* Lack of Immobilize makes it possible for the groups to spread out and negate your Aoe's
* Groups of about 12 Family and 4 of them are lieutenants i dont think that your damage output will be enough to wipe a group in matter of seconds
* The longer you take to wipe the longer they are going to be shooting back :/
* Endurance will be a huge issue as you will be constantly spamming attacks.
But if you wanna give it a bash, come with me on a few runs I'll get you some super xp and you can experience what its like on your blaster.

Dont see an end issue if he uses Consume as well.
What I so see is a strange primary for it. If you were elec/fire with the extra two AoEs I'd rate the chances higher. Just cant see Fistful being much use, which is a shame as its a nice blaster attack

Maybe it is worth waiting a bit for Issue 12...psychic blast and stuff you know.
(anyways, for primary, elec would be a nice choice...short circuit's end drain is very handy when you stand in the middle of baddie mob.)
invoke panic doesnt work that way once they get hit they can start moving and with all the dot going on its not even going to be noticable.
I forgot to mention Rain of Arrows will be part of my attack chain, so it's likely to be:
BU + Aim -> Invoke Panic -> Rain of Arrows -> Fire Sword Circle
Rain of Arrows has a 16 second recharge time in my build, by the way...
I'm pretty sure all that is enough to wipe out a mob.

When I had it on my DM/Regen it did what I wanted but I'm guessing its not as potent on the whole stand still like an idiot thing that Fearsome Stare does for my dark MM right?

As soon as the enemies are attack they can start moving, and they will have dot effects on them because fsc does dot and combustion too, soit's basicly useless
So it'll function as a sleep really.
tbh RoA+FSC should be enough though, but Presence is useless. Pick the ice epic for sleep if you want.

I know a fire/fire blaster who does tha family farm and has a pretty good success rate so I can't see you having a great problem with Arch/Fire tbh. Fire dmg is usually good enough to see you through and RoA is a fantastic 'kill all' power

My fire/fire uses this tactic, can pretty much farm by itself, combine with a fire/kin and you will 1-2 shot the mobs. FSC and fireball is LOL with FS And you can run hot feet and fiery aura when imobĀ“d by the troller.
Invoke panic only fears minions so you are gonna have lieuts shooting your face while you activate rain of arrows.
elec/elec is about the only really self sufficient blaster that is able to farm without outside assistence but its not exactly fast. SC+PS=whole mob with no endurance so just whittle them down and move to the next mob, I sometimes dual farm on my elec/elec when i got nothing better to do with a fire/kin, i dip in and out of fulcrum shift and run off on my own
Isn't elec/fire the mele blasters farming choice? Seems to be very popular on the us boards.
Yeah it's a decent choice, but Rain of Arrows does'nt drain all your end and it recharges ALOT faster than Thunderous Blast. In my case it'll be up every 16 seconds.
I have no idea why Elec/ is being used to much because it's very weak damage wise. And the end drain is relatively drawn out so you'll have taken some serious damage before the mob is drained of all endurance.

They're both weak damage-wise though.
I decided to make a very original build for farming the usual family mission instead of a Fire/Kin. The basic tactic here is:
Run into the middle of the mob with Super Speed -> Invoke Panic -> Fire Sword Circle -> Combustion -> Rinse & Repeat
Anyway, I'm pretty confident with it, but it's always nice to see other peoples thoughts on what is hopefully an innovative build.
