Bassicly i'm on the hunt for the fasters build you can use with a troller to lvl, id assume it was either fire/rad, fire/kin, ill/rad, ill/kin. but each one seems very opinionated and i havnt seen the argument go to one side. I know ill/rad is good from the start, but is it faster than fire/kin which is mega fast from 32+? So many questions! Hehe!
Could anyone help me out, thanks!
(Would be really helpfull if youd actualy post the build aswell =))

lvl 1 - 18: Mind/Rad

lvl 18 - 32: Ill/Rad (possibly Ill/Kin)

lvl 32 - 35: Fire/Rad

lvl 35 - 50: Fire/Kin

So what would you recomend 1-50?
Thanks

Ill/Rad is probably the best combo seen over all 50 lvls.

Fire/Kin really is awesome after lvl 35 but Ill/Rad shines from lvl 1-50.

Basically any troller combo is fun and good and it's really up to your playstyle.

1-50? What the trollern00bs above said

(just avoid grav/sonic )

Edit: fire/kin is arguably better after 38, but it needs team-mates to shine (i.e. increase spawns). For the amount of mobs you get solo, ill/rad is just as good in the 40s.

Long term I think it's between Ill/rad and fire/kin, Ill rad shining a bit earlier, but fire/kin taking the lead a little later (Though if you plan well, fire/kin can do a good build early). But Ill/rad will always have that potential, be more useful for AV fights and the like, and will be able a slightly more ST build.
Fire/kin makes you think "More mobz plz".

Plus, fire/kin is just fun

I would agree with going for Illusion/ for soloing. There's not much to choose between Ill/Rad or Ill/Kin as both are tremendous from the late 30's on.

I would point out that while both of these sets are good for solo work they absolutely fly when on a team - particulary Ill/Kin. Although again theres not a lot in it between Ill/Kin and Ill/Rad when teaming.

Both will be in demand in the 40+ levels for taking out AV's.

I think it depends on your boredom thresh-hold. Illusion is just boring up to 16. Perfectly soloable but its just levels of blind, Spec. Wounds, Blind, Spec. Wounds, Blind, Spec..... you get the idea.

I have a Fire/Rad who solos well and Accelerate Metabolism is a great boost for a soloist. Fire has more variety.

You'll die less with Fire/Rad, But you will kill faster with Fire/Kin but its living on the edge.

Prolly right. Although it will be the difference between "Dying loads" and just "Dying lots".

And here's where bad controllers show themselves....the secondary is there for a reason.

There's for the most part a lot more variety to controllers at lowlvl than most other ATs

Besides, assuming you're going for Stamina, you won't have that many more (fun) options before 16 with fire than with Illusion...

Oh sorry I forgot. Kinetics lets you do the Blind/Spectral Wounds combo - but quicker. Great.

Fire Cages And Hot Feet sorts the men from the boys.

Arch is right.

Also dying lots on a Controller is silly!

Try Illusion/TA.

IMO with illusion primary a debuff secondary (i.e. rad or TA) is better than kinetics, since PA can contribute significantly to dps if resistance is debuffed, but doesn't benefit from kinetics buffs.

I really should do something about this signature.

Yes. Dying on the trollers you guys mentioned, fire rad, fire kin, ill rad. Thats just silly, you dont die unless you [censored] up and that should be rarely.

Yeah. I've died once or twice on my fire/kin soloing big spawns, mainly if a hit from another mob mezzes me.

Heya Jakeyboy I would have thought Gravity/Rad or Gravity/Kin would be a very fast build to go solo with. As it is Gravity does some nice damage output and along with Rad you can control more or less every mob

Although I have seen Ill/Rad go solo very easily but I'm pretty sure Ill doesn't start picking up until you have all 3 of the pet powers right? My lvl 22 Ill/Sonic controller has only really just been able to start solo'ing easily now that I have PA

ill/rad, uber in pve after lvl 18(PA´s) and VERY good in pvp, especially in 1 on 1.

I have no problem going solo on invincible on my troller, after i hit 18 with my ill/rad, i really started to see the potential with the toon, and then i tried pvp, brute´s are the fav targets...

I'd go fire/kin for fastest soloing, ill is godly but too slow. RoF + Char + RoF with hotfeet beats SW + Blind anyday, and once you get imps there's no contest. No AoE containment = slower leveling. Rad isn't the best choice for the fastest solo build in my opinion, nothing (except AVs) is a challenge for a controller in solo pve, so you'd better pick the highest damage primary and secondary to go as fast as possible.

depends really on what you find most fun with really, I my self love my Fire/Rad Controller! but quite slow on leveling imo
so Fire/Kin would probably do best! (plus it also has great pulling abilities!) not to mention you wont need stamina also having a travel power is optional too! Hmmm.... *starts thinking on making an Ill/kin Controller*

No it doesn't, when soloing. Ill rad probably kills quicker even after imps, but not after fulcrum

Won't need stamina?

I don't know what kind of fire/kin you play... but mine has things such as hot feet. Too hectic IMO to rely on transference.

A live without stam would make a very tough living for a fire/kin. I did without stam on my mind/kin, but it has been pretty hard at times. My fire/kin surely couldn't have had a decent live without stam.
Talking about travel a /kin works best when you have acro meaning you take leaping pool or maybe fly for hover, but that's slow and offers no mezz protection.
And as far as pulling goes /rad is a way better puller then /kin. RI beats siph power by miles.
