Short after speaking the two were picked up in a black van by four men wearing black suits, and were driven off at speed out of the city.

"She was assigned to to hero task force called Champion and went to the Isles. Some covert seek and destroy op. On Statesman's say-so, is the word. I don't know what took place, but my cousin who's a chopper pilot was on deck when the sub brought the heroes home and this guy Coile walked to the Statesman and started to yell at him about sending a non-powered woman with them. I guess they botched something up out there."
"Yelling at the 'Man himself? He's the greatest hero who ever lived. Sheesh, some people have no shame."
"You're preaching to the choir, mate. Then this Coile made a threat that if something like this ever happened again he'd send, listen to this, 'an angry pink angel to kick his leg'."

Arachnos Fooled?
Dinnertime yesterday Friday the 14th, an Arachnos facility was infiltrated by two female Arbiters, or so it would seem. Huntsman Olako talked to the Rogue Isles Protector earlier and issued this statement. "There is alot of rumours around currently, but we have confirmed that two Arbiter gowns were stolen on the 12th of September, these gowns were used to infiltrate the experimentat--" Huntsman Olako then stopped as a goggle wearing scientist forced himself to talk to us in a frenzy of speech "Two of them! They said Arbiter Daos himself wanted an experiment by the name of 'Blue Serpent'! I was fooled foooooled!" The Huntsman then moved this wacky character aside. "... As i was saying this is nothing serious to worry about, both the robes have been seized, although we have been told by Lord Recluse not to carry out forensics, our master sees this as humourous." Olako then left the press conference, seeming slightly agitated himself.
My views on this? When will Arachnos start keeping a leash on these so called 'Destined ones' even at the height of portraying as an Arbiter, the most powerful in the ranks of Arachnos even more so than Recluses' Lieutenants.

There are three versions of the same rumor spreading around the PPD in Independence Port about a recent minor warehouse fire. All that is known is that the fire was not an accident and that the charred remains of two hands were found. The rumours are;
The Family were making a deal there with a well known figure, then needed to dispose of evidence of what happened there.
A hero had a show-down with a villain and it ended with the villain cutting off the hero's hands then setting the warehouse of fire, in hope to kill the hero.
There's a new villain on the loose and this is just the beginning of a new, very large crime wave.

A rumour has floated around from Pocket D - Loup's home from home - that Loup Garou has been seen badgeless and without a wristcomm. He may have broken from the New Heroes Union, apparently due to the demonically-induced killing spree of a member which appears to be going unreported to the authorities. It's difficult to ascertain the truth since it is said Loup Garou is a vigilante in his own right.
It's also rumoured Loup Garou has changed into a much more humanoid form.

HERO INTERVENES HERO STABBING!
Eci Hammer in critical condition
Late last night licensed hero bearing name Eci "Ice" Hammer came under brutal attack in Kings Row. She was wearing casual clothes and evidently not expecting trouble. An eyewitness who wishes to remain anonymous describes the situation.
"I saw this hawt gal walking the other side of the road when at least seven guys jumped on her. It was so fast. Bag over her head and then they just dragged her into an alley nearby. I didn't have my cell phone with me so I had to leave and look for a pay phone."
The attackers, all members of the notorious Skulls gang, proceeded to beat up and stab Eci Hammer in a way that can only be described as vicious. She sustained several lacerations on her upper torso, two almost fatal stab wounds and multiple broken bones. Doctors said that judging by the injuries on her arms and wrists she tried to shield her face from the blade weapons. She was not entirely successful.
When the police arrived alerted by the eyewitness they found the attackers lying around. Another licensed hero, called Stratocaster, had intervened and rendered the gang members unconscious and at the time of police coming to the scene was trying to still the bleeding from the most serious wounds.
One police officer remembers Eci Hammer arresting several Skulls members earlier this week and says that they are investigating the incident from the vengeance angle. All attackers remain in custody at this time and are facing serious charges.

At the 6, 8 and 10 o'clock Channel 7 News of Thursday 30/08/2007, and some morning papers on the 31st
I stand here before a warehouse in Kings Row. It was this warehouse where some weird things happened earlier today.
Witnesses report that this afternoon there was a commotion inside the warehouse, which they took for just an other hero cleaning up a drug lab.
However when a few minutes later the entire building collapsed, people knew something was different.
And just as more heroes arrived at the scene to search the rubble and help out witnesses report the building repaired itself.
How this happened is anyones guess, though some cant help but wonder if that which repaired the building could be repeated and used to help the restoration program. Expert speculate that it was likely the recent collapse that enabled the repair, though as of yet there is no clear cause of either the collapse nor the repair.
Teams that went inside to investigate found a large group of approximately 50 members of the Skull gang, rather intoxicated from what is assumed Superadyne fumes. How they survived and what exactly happened here is still being investigate.
