Tankers soloing heavy blasters
What level are you? What sets are you? What level/sets was the tank?
He can do this becouse this game is broken as hell.
unstoppable is pretty much just that, a inv/ss should be able to stuff a heavy and a MM at the same time, at least for 3 minutes anyway. Trouble with having pets that deal s/l damage.

Seeing as I can solo Heavies with my MM and my Brute under enemy fire (and frequently do for chuckles), I'm not sure where the problem is.
Question is, why weren't you able to take down the Tank in that time?

My blaster would be one-shotted trying to take down a heavy solo
On the other hand I could take it down easily if I had good empath with me. My own tank wouldnt have a hope in hell taking down a heavy because of his laughable damage output.

Why the [censored] is he able to solo a lvl 54 elite boss even while he is getting shot at by my pets?
[/ QUOTE ]...Why wouldn't he be?
I don't see the big deal about the giant robots, I can take a Cat down with a dominator. They have extreme damage but they are just EBs, I can even knock them back all the way down the street.

I was in RV today, and i got my heavy and went to a area without mobs and hoped that a hero would come by(im a MM). A tanker came and started to fight my heavy and after a few minutes he had killed it. Why the [censored] is he able to solo a lvl 54 elite boss even while he is getting shot at by my pets?

Tankers got extreme good res and HP, it doesnt suprise it how he could make it My brute can take down a heavy easy, but not when getting attacked by other players
I have never seen anything short of a miracle (read: The Hamidon/) take down an Invincible Tank using his tier 9 power. Ofcourse you can always gank them to hell, but with the added mez resistance they can just run. All in all their tier 9 power does exactly what it says on the tin; makes them 'Unstoppable'.
If he had an offensive powerset too, then i'd definatly advise just to keep clear as a Mastermind till his power drops.
However now we are on the topic of RV heavies, damn is the hero one wimpy and the villain one nasty! :P Lets just go over the review:
Melee
Hero: None
Villain: 2 high damage toxic/lethal damage with DoT function.
Ranged:
Hero: Grenade Launcher (S damage), Energy Grenade (AoE), Seeker Drones (-acc), Poison grenade)
Villain: Lightning Bolt (Energy damage), Ball Lightning (AoE), Web Grenade, Cocoon, Web Envelope, Toxic venom (ST with dot function), Toxic venom Cone (Toxic with DoT Function).
Nuke:
Hero: Single Target Energy Cannon
Villain: PBAoE Energy 'Nuke'
Overall pretty balanced in terms of powers, but its the damage types and the functions that are worst, Toxic damage & DoTs? Very unresisted and the dots allowing for single hit kills. Whereas the Heroes heavy is pure Smashing and Energy Damage, mainly resisted.
Ive played on both sides in RV and i would choose the villain heavy ANY day of the week for PvE, PvP, looks.
What are other peoples views on this?
(Back on topic quick my Brute can solo a heavy without PowerSurge, but needs it for killing a hero and a heavy; whereas my blaster gets them to half health, runs out of steam (recharge healing etc) and gets his butt kicked good)
I don't think the villain heavy is more dagerous. The fact that you have to (as the player controlling it) position it correctly to maximise its attacks makes it hard to use - most people I've seen using it don't know how to order it into place and I don't think there is an icon command for this either.
The hero heavy has some nasty mez, control and debuff attacks, especially whatever the one that prevents interuptable powers completely; I can't use Aid Self at all if that hits me.
Most of what you're talking about applies to Tanks, Scrappers, Stalkers and Brutes only, for all other ATs each is as lethal as far as their attacks go.
The thing about the heavies that I wonder about is their weakness to Holds and Knockback.
After having used both i find that i prefer the heroes heavy since it does not require being right up close to the opponent like the villains one has to, to use a lot of its best attacks and going by how pvp is these days with people jumping flying all over the place i very rarely get to see a villain heavy get that near to an opponent, actually funny enough the last it did was when i was fighting a stonetank couldnt even kill em
As for hold's and knockback i have been able to hold a arachnos heavy with my mind controller i think it only took 2 or 3 holds to do it as well. I have found they are also affected by tk too
Hero heavy > Villain heavy, the hero heavy has that ranged poison thing that hit you whereever you are and makes you vomit for 3s.
Heavies have standard EB resistances : none to knockback, mag6 or whatever (need 3 mag3 effects) to status effects

Actually, it would be broken if he couldn't.
MMM i would cry if my tank couldnt solo a heavy, saying that ive been taken out by a MM without a heavy so i cant see what the problem is.

Don't think I can solo a heavy with my tank. Does that mean war mace is broken?
ps. soloing a heavy usually also means soloing its owner..
Nah it means jumping around hitting and kiting till the heavy is down to face its owner when you can't be one-shot... although it usually ends up with owner running away tho (you know, most people think RV is not a PvP zone, but a throw the heavy and stay safe one)
P.S.I've seen an invul/mace soloing them too

[/ QUOTE ]Which often is very easy, especially if the owner thinks RV is merely a PvT (Turrets) zone...
