Why no Cauterise in Sirens?!

No room

Well, to be fair, the Brute would have been a hell of a lot harder to take down if you did have Cauterise.

It's a small point, and yes Sirens Call is a good place for Scrappers as it's the perfect level for them, but really, Big Heal > Little Heal.

Cauterize would be nice but something has to go to make room for other powers (like GI for stalkers, tpfoe for base campers etc). Even without that heal I think the thermal buffs and area heal on a brute vs scrapper shouldnt result in such a clear victory.

No, it shouldn't, and probably wouldn't with Cauterise, what sets was the scrapper?

Hmmm I would have thought cautarize was one of the almost essential ones to take (would drop fire shield or something similar as the buff pales in its usefulness when compared). I would imagine that with it the brute would be in a much favourable position. Was the Brute over level 30 and on fresh single orgins?

I be happy to put forward my brute or corruptor to show that a 2 on 1 situation is not a walkover for a scrapper.

See, that's the thing, against another combo (hell, against another Secondary) you'd have a much better chance.

By the way, I assume you have Forge?

Against a /regen I would have been surprised to win with no debuffs. Just expected to last a bit longer is all. No forge yet, my corruptor is only lvl 24, I forget what level the brute was.

Well when you pick up Forge (and I suggest Cauterise over GI or TP Foe for Sirens Call as it's so scrapper heavy) it'll be a much fairer fight.

But the Scrapper should just kill you, ignore the brute, then try and kill the brute.

Thats why I went with dark primary. Hopeing the acc debuffs the thermal self heal, and possibly some defence from the powerpools will keep me alive.

Spines regen is at its peak in S/C whilst you were missing a great deal of powers, with heat exhaustion, your heal and impales neutering you will be soloing these scrappers in RV without many problems. (and ice/cold wipes them in s/c )

I was level 31 at the moment then, so my level 30 SOs were yellow, arguably not the best time to PvP at.

Just realized something
The mez resist from my masterminds antidote may not be as strong per application as clear mind, but it DOES stack. Just got this power geh heh..

It also provides resistance to -recharge and slow (as much as speed boost from a defender) but -recharge and slow res does not stack (like speed boosts doesnt either). Something that empath cannot give .

Hey, villains dont have it THAT bad.
Antidote offers no fear or confuse res (edit: or +perc) unlike CM but I gots slow resist!

Because apparently I don't have any problems with heroes being CMd when playing my Robots/Dark MM, and in fact heroes being immune to Fear, Holds, Disorient and having +Perception to see through Shadow Fall actually makes it easier for me to beat them, right?

[/ QUOTE ]

Too bad one CM negates all the fears, holds, disorients and stealth your MM could do, and the quote you're complaining about is complaining about stacking CMs, not one CM. So I'd say he's pretty right on the money, you're not affected by CM stacking.
