Hello, after not posting some work on the forums for a while, i thought i would share my just recently finished picture off the Marvel Ultimates. I understand it is not City of Heroes related but city of heroes has inspired a lot of my 'super hero based' artwork, and i feel the need to share this piece of work with you guys. i appreciate any comments!

Thanks swishy! glad you commented on my work and im glad you like it!
Theres just one thing i don't agree with, but it is your opinion and please note, i do not have a problem with it.

**The cross-hatch.
It's too thick and clashes with the colouring. You shoud either have full areas of black for shading or simply ink thin lines as contour with no shading. The latter applies to cases where you're going to colour the pic fully.

Ok, go pick a Marvel comic book up, Not Anime or anythng, make sure its Marvel, DC etc, and take your time to blank the color out and look at the amount of cross hatching on the image, this does vary from artist to artist, but you will find a lot of artists do go heavy on crosshatching, and mix it with color, it is what gives you a Comic feel, and of course there is no 'should' when it comes to art, It's just my style, but i do greatly respect your criticism for my work, and am great full and will take much off it into account.

Thank you both for your feedback and positive comments.
I can see where shadowghost is coming form, but you have to think around the picture more, maybe the drone has another target he is firing at, tand the fire blaster is also aiming at something thats not on my picture, remember it is a war zone, and i can only include certain things, witohut cluttering my image to much, same thing with the rikti upfront, he maybe not included in the fight behind him, and looking at what is in front of him, thinking who he is going to attack. Also one of my first ever pictures that has contained a full battle scene etc. so still learning about balancing my composition out =)
Thanks for the comments!, appreciated -
Hello
Well i was working on this a while back, but real life matters got in my way, so i spent all today and last night finishing it up.

thanks for the replies guys and the help, great to have some good positive feedback, i understand what you both say, and i will take this into account on my future work, Anyway, i have drawn a few more females, and they can be viewed on my Deviant art, reason being they don't have much to do with Heroes or Heroines. I have been studying anatomy a bit from a guy named Burne Hogarth and his books are amazing and i enjoy learning from them, and have produced ( in my opinion ) much better Human realistic drawings, The link to my deviant art is just under my name as my Sig, So Feel free to take a look at the Human anatomy drawings i have produced on there, Thanks.

Hello.
Back again with some new work.
Ok with this one its a pretty rushed peace of work
Doing work experience at the moment, and am very bored so i had a sat down and had a draw came up with this so i took it home inked it up, stuck it in my scanner and colored it in, Trying to learn how to draw females at the moment, can never seem to get it right but i am getting the hang of it, and this picture shows my progress so far! I am aware that the coloring is a little rushed, i am touching that up soon! but the main reason i am happy with this drawing is because of the pose, and in my opinion, the Proportion of her body! anyway any comments would be cool! look forward to them! Hope you like

Thanks a lot swissy, and i can see here where you are coming from with the arms, but when drawing comic heroes, you can always change the anatomy imo, as long as it's not to far. but if you look, he has the shoulder muscle, along with the bicep muscles, that i wanted to make pretty big, his left arm is also curved around a lot, revealing much more curve on the rear muscle behind his biceps, and also on the elbow.
Now if you look here
And scroll down to the Compatition section on the page, and take a look at the big guy on the right, and look at the rear of his biceps they are pretty big, and thats without his arm flat and tensed.
but this is my view, they aren't perfect, and far from it, and im glad you could give me a good reply m8, im still learning anatomy at the moment, so it's a great help mate, cheers! -
He does
i dont see no bags under his eyes
But thanks -

Lol shes a goddess she can do what she wants with her hairs!

then just print screen copy > paste into paint k you will get the health bar showing up etc. but that ain't in the way because all you are looking it is the Costume.

The pic is not bad but what shocked me the most was... Well... the hair between the legs. For at least 10 seconds I coulnd't remove my eyes from it, it's... A bit... Strange
[/ QUOTE ] well that would be the first place you look after you see the name goddess woudlnt it soul!
But anyway. moving away form the hairy areas, i admit the face is a little boring, but its not to much what i was concentrating on, i was more into drawing the body to be honest. thats why theres alot more detail around that area etc.And not on the face. but i could see where to improve her face easily. but thanks for the comments. -
Hello,
Just finished doing a drawing for my friend Miss Cold and her new toon 'Goddess Artemis' i mostly draw male heroes, and this is my first try at a female hero. It's a challenge for me, because the male and female body are pretty different as in the shapes etc. But this is what i came out with, i am happy with how it turned out. Would really like it if i could get some feed back on itcheers!

Realy nice i like it. never been that kean on mixing anime with super heroes but thats just my opinion, i realy like the body, and how he is stood, theres just something i dont like about the left arm. althought it all looks in proportion. good job.
-
Realy does my head in when you see a vill fighting a hero, so you jump in to help the hero/villain dependng on what side your on, you kill the enemy and get insulted because you interrupted in a duel, in a player v player 'Z.o.n.e' where theres no rules, it does my head in.
