Galaxy Girl - Role Player Peeps
Briefly, as NaNoWriMo beckons:
Union seems to be the unofficial RP server. There are folks on Defiant too, tho.
Two places to visit on Union: Galaxy Girl statue in Galaxy City from 9 pm forward each night, and Pocket D throughout the night. GG is safer bet with a more steady crowd. Still, be sure to give both locations a few tries at least.
Check the two Union RP threads on this forum, likely on the first page. Recaps, plot infos, people. Check what might interest you and nudge people over /tells, for example. Or just throw yourself in IC.

Another bit of advice when looking for rpers, is to check their team search comments or character info screens
There are also several rp global chat channles too.
RPers can be hard to find outside of these events so I tend to advertise. My team search box states that I'm a roleplayer as does the info box on all my characters. But this is not very commonplace in game as it can sometimes attract unwanted attention.
Best thing to do is get yourself to one of the events and get chatting and see if you can find a good RP supergroup. I believe there was a thread a while ago on this board which listed all active RPSGs so it might be worth having a look at that and then contacting the people involved if one takes your fancy. I help run The Militia but feel free to drop me a line @Dante if I can help with anything.

Alrighty, new question!
I keep finding bits of information here and there that hint and suggest at Roleplaying Supergroups. Now, I'm not the most foward of people so it's hard for me to figure out how to search in game.
Basically, If I was looking for one... what would be a good way to go about it?
well i'd say asking here or going to GG, there are lots of RP SGs around, i don't know all of the but there are a few below
The Fletched Alliance
The Militia
The Silent Tempest
The Warriors of Darkness
The Hunters
The Cirque De La Lune
ok those are just a few i know of, each one has a different theme or idea behind it and you just have to decide which fits your character i guess. If your character was say... anyone who liked explosions - the fletched alliance would be a good call. A mysterious clown or card player or someone with secrets to hide - The Cirque De la Lune might work nicely.
From the top of my head I'll throw in also:

Guardians of Destiny
New Heroes Union
Apache Longbow
There's no nifty search feature IG that I know of. The RP SG Thread that has sunk to the page X is far from complete. Best bet is what you just did - ask on forums and hope the various replies together spell out even a fraction of the answer.
FA you can meet at the statue about at any given night. Tempest will be making an appearance this coming Tuesday throwing a mission night. (see separate thread)
The easiest way to join an RP SG is to just meet a few of the members and see how you get along IC.
This way you get to see if your RP styles gel and if your characters get along as well. It might not sound much but finding these things out early can save future troubles and fall outs.
P.S. In case you wanted a little more information on the Fletched Alliance.....
A generally friendly gang, often several members can be found at GG being all chatty and such. This makes IC meetings a nice simple affair. (To further simplify matters do one or both of the following.. 1: be female (Alfred will almost instantly begin offering chocolate and general schmoozing) 2: have a thing for tails (this should help out those of you not ambushed by Alfred, since Kit and Cloe are frequent GG visitors))
However, the FA isn't for everyone (sorry but them's the breaks) We have traditions and a reputation to uphold

And since Ves, Kat and Jane didn't get a mention it's safe to assume they're giggling somewhere while deciding which explosives to stuff the new guy's pockets with.
That's the next panel, where they "arm" the new guy's utility belt with glee and snicker "The next time he's at least 'charged', eh?"

theres also The Trinity SG on villains union. based on mercinaries so it's pretty lose in rules and we don't force sg mode ^_^

3 pro, 2 con... I guess the cons weigh heavier, seeing as she's not yet gowing old, but is semi-retired with a family
edit: back on track, I whole heartedly agree with the 'getting to know them' first. And not just the 'public' figures of a SG, but most of them. And it's more important that you get alond OOC then that you get along IC, the lather can be smoothed over with the first a lot easier then the other way aroud

Another Supergroup for Roleplaying is called Enforce and it's a vigilante correction thing.
It didn't used to be that, but it had to change for IC reasons.

There's also a number of roleplayers that don't look on the forums (grrrr!) (This guy had never heard of Galaxy Girl and had been on Union a year); but if you send @umbralwarrior a tell, he's got a RP SG as well.
Remind me to head along to GG at some point. I kept seeing people there, but never twigged. Still, as I've only just really got up to speed on the Roleplaying side of things, maybe that wasn't too much of a problem.

And RPing in a no-RP team can be great fun, but sometimes leads to frustration 
The RP doesn't start at 9, it's just the Galaxy Girl mob gets going at 9. GG is not the be-all and end-all of RP.

As the title says I'm new here. Problem i've been having though... is that Rp'ers seem hard to find or so it seems. I was wondering if anyone could nudge me in the right direction here. I haven't exactly settled on a specific server yet either so that's not a big deal.
