PvP hero biased
Honestly i'm a Regen Scrapper and I get killed all the time in PvP. So to be frank I can't see where your coming from. And I don't run tactics or anything like that fighting stalkers can't see the point.
Shouldn't this be in the PVP forum?

If youre referring to mace pool then the problem is its duration I think, which has felt pretty weak from the little experience I have.
On comparison hero epics feel certainly stronger.. All defenders get telekinesis, hello? hello? Trollers get mez resistance (I mean if they already didnt have from their secondary..) etc etc I mean how can anyone say that PPPs are on par with that stuff..

Lol, brawl index.
In place of Brawl Index, read Damage Modifier and then the initial statement is true (for melee attacks anyway).

[/ QUOTE ]Did you even read that? That's a replacement for brawl index, which was how players thought how damage was calculated, before people found out the real system.
Kitty, don't bother posting here. Pve players who don't understand pvp mechanics will try to tell you all is fine, while hardcore pvp players are playing heroes to be competitive and will argue balance is fine so they can have someone to smash whenever they go in pvp zones.
Good analysis, you forgot a few things tho :
- power build up and power boost being available to debuff ATs
- irresistable defender debuffs
- psy blast
- 30% unresisted damage for blasters on every attack
- empathy
- ...
Honestly, roll a hero or stick to pvp zones. Devs don't care about competitive pvp - and while I dislike it, I don't think they're wrong to do that. The pvp community is a very small part of the player base, and competitive pvp is a very small part of the pvp community itself. It wouldn't make sense to rebalance the game for 50-100 people instead of making new PvE stuff thousands of players will like.
The best we can hope for is a Fury fix somewhere in the next year.

None of the villain PPP sets are of much use in PVP, we were told the Villain epics would be more powerful to make up for the fact that you cannot respec and change them like you can with hero ones, what a crock that was. Villain epic armours for squishies are needed but thats about it, the pets are useless (pretty much in pve too) I can go through every hero epic set for all the different ATs and there are several powers I want to take from them and fir into my hero builds, on my villains I will take armour on squishies and thats it, my brutes and stalkers dont even bother and fill up on pool powers.
Simple fact is Heroes are MUCH more powerful than villains in PVP and the undynamic PPPs are the main cause of this

I reckon villians dependence on there inherents has a lot to do with it as well. I find my villains really have to maximise there inherent to perform well. Not easy on my dominator, but possible (until the anti mezz buffs start). Pretty impossible on my brute, and I refuse to beat up mobs for 2 or 3 minutes then hope i can find a hero before fury falls. I dont believe it should be played that way. Heroes arent so dependent on there inherents, its more some nice icing for them.
And yes, PPP's are almost useless, webnades and shields, thats it.

You can't be serious! 50-100?? Where are they?? PvP used to be much more demanded till toggle drop nerfs, but it's six feet under since. It's not that there isn't people interested in PvP, it's just that they've left

The fact that Defenders and Controller get power boost and Corruptors dont will always make villain teams weaker than heroes.

lol, more people complaining about overpowered scrappers, while a decent dark/ MM would take down any scrapper, regen, the lot
Focused accuracy is nice, but its an epic, and can onlybe used n the arena 'IF' you are fighting at lvl 50.
Stalkers have an invis copacity NO OTHER HERO can possibly have, because they can stack hide with stealth, and we cant stack, steal with invis, or evne stealth - grant invis. (( stupid in my opinion )) Ive sene plenty of things beat down scrappers.
But the stacked stealth allows stalkers to make 1 strike before they become obvious to all and get blasted. Where as scrappers are + damage modifier all the time with every hit and have a ton more hit points than any stalker could ever have and they don't have to be hidden to achieve a critical hit.
Been talking to a few people and looking at some of the numbers and powers an PvP seems to be very hero biased
Things like:
Scrappers have a brawl index higher than any villainous AT in the game
Scrappers crits ignore damage resistant secondaries.
Focused accuracy - basically give any hero the ability to ignore any villains defence based secondary. (with their being no villain alternative)
Regen scrappers stamina - with their stamina recovery these guys can happily run heavy toggles and still fight forever (again no villainous equivalent).
Villains PPP - basically pointless in a PvP arena.
The only potential villainous advantages have either been nerfed or are bugged so they don't work
Fury - Takes so long to build in PvP that it's worthless
Hide - With every hero and his dog having Tactics running stalkers are now just squishy gimped scrappers.
Placate - bugged as after effect of an attack negates the hide (and this will not be fixed).
All in all it's no wonder that there are so few people who PvP.
