It's another case of someone complaining that people don't stay still so they can pound on them? Rule for avoiding stalkers, afais, don't stand still so they can AS you. They still can even if you do move constantly, it just requires tactics. I've managed to AS people running repel, Firey Aura, Quills and such moves, some moving, others not, it needs people to think rather than rely on their build. Yes you can view PvP as rock/paper/scissors, but I could show you how to break paper with a rock.
Dude you HAVE to stand still for people like that! They suck too much to pull an AS off when you're moving!
I feel its only fair to stand still and turn off any toggles you may have on, if you have inadvertanly got any autopowers that may assist your longevity please respec them out

Yeah, and respec fly in as well. When the fight starts, fly up as high as you can and then drop down for maximum fall damage.

Indeed, for the best PvP fun, make a defender/controller/blaster/corruptor/dominator/MM and take all the travel powers, 6 slot brawl, rest, SJ, SS, TP, Fly and every other PP power 
Yup its official you must stand still and under no circustances utilise any powers whatsoever, in fact if you have the passive accolades please ensure you have a method of removing the extra health as its unfiar to ask someone to make an effort in PvP

Seriously just absurd, if people want to stand toe to toe with no insps and batter other players I suggest they save time and resolve their conflict with the rock, paper, scisors emotes provided.
Dunno what it is but there is a lot of this stuff about atm and at times it truly is silly. Dont let it get ya down there are still decent PvPers out there.

What's the point in a Brute slugging it out toe to toe anyway, it's not like you'll be building any of the currently non-existent fury on offer.

What was most disheartening was the fact that I was called a coward and that I couldnt PVP because, as I see it, I wouldnt stand around and let a Stalker AS me.
Earlier on I got the same kind of response from a Stalker in Warburg, because I was using Super Speed and trying never to stand still long enough to let him get AS off.
The way I see it if a Stalker wants to Assassin Strike me hes got to work for it the critical part of Assassin Strike is unresistible it doesnt matter how much defence or resistance I have it hurts a lot. And Aid Self isnt reliable enough for me to recover before the inevitable Placate + Critical.
What are peoples opinions on this fight?

First person to use a mouth instead of a power in a fight loses by default .
Sometimes I really think there's a lot of people out there who have emptied out their power trays and filled the things with inane comments and attitudes. No wonder they get beat. A lot.

Stand still mate.Hell even start dancing and let this guy AS u. This is not a PvPer.
Mobility is alpha and omega in PvP.
I mean whats the point in us all having combat jumping or superspeed if we are going to use them in a fight?
We should not be allowed to use travel powers or any other powers in a fight.
Thats why from now on, I will only have insps duels with people where we can only use insps to defeat each other and use no powers.
I fought far-seer recently using these rules. He beat me like a ginger step-child. I used 2 cabs and a bf. He used 2 bf and a cab so he won. A school boy error of mine I know, but he is a good inspser after all.
I think duels might develop into fights with no powers and no insps. Where we have to guess the layout of the other persons screen.

The worst thing you could ever do is actually listen to him. A True Stalker would have you trussed up as a Turkey before causally AS'ing you.

i play a few stalkers myself and i find it to be FUN when the target is running around like a mad man and i'm chasing him like an ever mader man 
if you wanna explain it to him just tell him he gotta act in PvP as on a 60% sale on sears, keep moving or get run over!! XD

aye its fun to see stalkers whine in PvP when the only thing they can do is AS and they finally found an opponent who doesnt let them AS. It's all "ZOMG! you r such c0w4rd!" "fight like a man" etc etc.. well boohoo, maybe they shouldve learned to play their AT well and find out most attack sets got some nice other powers that can cripple an enemy before you land the fatal blow (be it critical or AS).
Always fun to see moronic stalkers whine in sirens when I run hurricane on my troller and they cant AS me (well unless its a proper stalker, but then again, its much more of a fight when you meet one of these ). They start complaining "turn off hurricane cheater!".. sure not taking into account I got no +perc and cant see them while theyre running hide. Or of course the fact they could use other attacks to get me *cough*impale*cough*.
Anyway, conclusively, anything goes in an arena duel, if he starts complaining bout it, well, thats his problem
