So some musings

First one I really would take Stamina its pretty much a must have once you start using a lot of powers. You can survive without it but I'd really take it.

Absorb Pain is a power of some debate, like Empath I got to 50 on my own emp without using it and am of the opinion that its at its best in PvP which you say you are not interested in so its skippable, still it is a spare heal and a good one.

Psi: Hmm far from an expert but take Subdue its good damage and an immobalise and will be useful if you are planning to be more aggresive. Also take Will Domination as its a solid damage single target mez. I would advise against AoE sleeps unless you have a team that is used to them/prepared to learn to work with them as they quickly get turned off with AoEs.

Power Pools: I would agree you should consider taking recall friend for rezzing I did and it was handy.

Travel Power: Your not PvPing so take whatever you think is cool imo

Epic Pools: Short answer Power Mastery really is great and having had both Power Mastery and Psi Mastery on White Magus I would prefer Power, but its not an absolute must just handy.

So heres a rough and quick build, be warned I am no expert at all on /Psi so its all best guess on that one. Also since you said you wanted to be soloable I have taken a good few attacks. Fitting Hasten from the Speed pool in could be good imo but went with attacks instead to give you flexability.

Agreed with Arch on this its a great power but the end use is an issue and could be a severe one. Assuming you have good support its all good and will be amazing but I am not sure that I would take it on /storm without end buffs

Absolutely, I have plenty of friends who dont like to PvP and some of them do badge etc, they do go to PvP zones to do so and thats all fine the big thing is these people would never whinge about being attacked in a PvP zone, they understand the risk and are happy with it, should some halfwit grief them by I dunno teledebting them over and over whilst crowing on broadcast then they might well petition and should too, but they dont go all "Oh I am a badger leave me alone!!" over broadcast or send tells going "No killing me its not fair!". That attitude is all good by me, good people are good people more of em plix.

Most of us "eeeevil PvP G33kz0rz" are pretty resonable fun lovin' folks and will be nice and love a chat and a laugh like everyone else, the image of us crouching over our keyboards scowling, hammering buttons and being all "Die n000b! DIE!" as we chase down badgers amuses me muchly I am there for fun not to give myself a heart attack and the number of times I have stopped to answer a tell or have a chat and been killed by my own idiocy is prolly quite high.

PvP is fun for some and not for others all I ever ask is mutual respect and common sense about PvP zones.

Right at the risk of getting back on topic, my 2 inf and this might turn into a long one.

Dont usually do this but since I am gonna express some pretty strong opinions a little background on myself and a disclaimer. I am a pretty balannced player I PvE plenty and have my 2 50s and various alts to show for it, I also involve myself in the community and having fun as often as I can. I am now I guess a fairly ardent PvPer and I am often in the zones or the arena, its something different to PvE for me and a good few close mates of mine PvP too and we have a blast mostly. The following are my opinions and experiences not intended to offend anyone but rather to further the disscussion at hand ...

I am pretty much beyond bored with this attitude from the non PvPers in PvP zones. I really fail to get it tbh the warnings are clear and honest from the PvP zone contacts how you can get from

Warning this is a Player v Player zone do not enter unless you are willing to be attacked by other players

to

Warning this is a Player v Player zone But if you want to badge/xp mine you can expect that you wont be attacked and are totally within your rights to get testy and whinge when you are

frankly escapes me.

I have had so many of these experiences that it can begin to do my head in, quick example to illustrate this is from a real experience but no names and these are paraphrased and may be badly remembered

To those who dont like to PvP:

I respect your choice PvP is not everyones cup of tea and you have the right to not PvP but and I cannot stress this enough never ever under any circumstances enter a PvP Zone and assume you have the right to complain when you are attacked, unless you are being griefed you dont, end of. As an aside if you are being griefed then its likely the "Evil hardcore PvPers" like me who will be first in line to defend you and offer apologies for the behaviour of the idiots that do that sort of thing, Why would we help/defend you? you ask. Because we want you to have good PvP experiences, that way you can come back and more fun can be had by all.

To the OP: I am sad that you had a bad experience but imo you had utterly unrealistic expectations of the zone and had ignored clear and visable warnings about the nature of the Zone, if the devs wanted RV to be a "PvP but only if you feel like it" Zone they would call it one and have a system to opt out of PvP in there, they dont so its free fire, the end. I deeply hope you can contiunue to enjoy CoH but PvP Zones are there for a reason.

Apologies if this post was longwinded but I feel very strongly about this stuff and I am only expressing my own views.

No, it wouldn't - at least not server lag. If it is causing graphical lag, then you need to ratchet your settings down.

Really, really have to say that in this case a hold is not a hold, we differentiate between Troller holds, Epic holds and Blaster holds for example. Been said before many times but lag kills Hami raids and powers like CC do add to lag, not everyone has a PC that even on minimum or safe settings can cope with a large amount of excess powers, thats the whole reason we run raids the way we do.

That said we are getting a tad off topic so I wont go on and of course its all imo.

Was a great raid thanks to all involved I wont go to the list of folks but it was a fantastic success and in great time too, I made it under 1 1/2 hours from Hive entry to Jelly servings!
