The 1 hit on Hami works in the States, and if you read the recent patch notes they have stopped the problem in which people "fell" of the list of people who had hit hami.

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, but you have to be inside the zone.

[/ QUOTE ]

Have to take crashes into account as well, somebody might crash between the time of the brawl and when holding phase was going on..

Source for this plz. However, I am more than happy for those who are not involved in the phases after the clearing phase, to stay in the Hive after the 1 hit phase, as long as they are a decent distance away from Hami, to reduce lag.

If people stay near hami because they are worried they have to be nearby to get the HO when he is being defeated it serves to make it more difficult to defeat him and makes it more difficult to conduct public raids. making it more likely that private raids are the way forward.

I know of claims in the states that people who have hit hami with multiple toons have had HO awarded to even those who are logged off. This particular 1 I have not checked myself and hope to do so this raid. I will post the results if we defeat Hami.

No reason to affect the damage list as it should not have crashed.

This reminds me of a tip for anybody that wants to make use of it. If, on 1 of your toons, you have a mission that awards a badge eg, the missing fortune teller mission, and you also want it on another of your toons you can get the badge for both.

Log on the toon with the mission badge. Get a team mate to enter the mission and wait. Change to the other toon you want the badge on. Get them invited to the mission and finish it. That toon will get awarded the badge. Now log of and log the toon on who had the mission, they will also now get the badge. So it is possible to get the missing fortune teller badge on 2 of your toons at the same time and 9 heroes in total. This works with accomplishment badges.

How about my own personal experience of leading 6 raids, 5 of which were succesfull?

This is BS. I know of at least three people who switch toons in between the mito clearing and the holding phase and only the one online at the time gets the HO.

You have to be online, and in the hive, or you will not recieve a reward from defeating Hamidon.

I won't ever turn up to a public raid again. Not because of the public spirited well meaning people that want to organise it, but the inevitable accumulation of chimps that turn up. I don't pay my subs to spend my time getting that aggravation tbh.

The Auto Healers in Eden who go afk for 10 minutes.

The Comis Geniuses whose puerile wit needs to be broadcast to all and sundry throughout the raid.

The same "I dunt av a costume wivout a cape and an aura - I dint no we needed 1" excuse repeated 30 times.

The training of monsters onto the platform "for sumthin 2 do"

The "I'm going to go down and just have a look" attack ploy.

No thanks. Never again.

[/ QUOTE ]

Do you have any toons by the names Pessimist or Victor Meldrew? You're bound to get the above morons, uninitiated etc, so accept it and chill out.

On a side note, looking forward to it!

REMEMBER to lessen lag, no capes no auras! And ask ahead for squad/AT colors should they be needed!

[/ QUOTE ]

Phew! Why didn't anyone on the previous raids think of posting about not having capes and auras on the forums - we could have solved the problem completely!

The main problem you are going to face is the large number of players that will attend who never read the forums let alone a plan of the raid.

The key words in my post were "public raid" War Hero. I don't have to accept idiotic and infantile behaviour (which even you admit is inevitable) in the game and as such I won't attend a public raid again.

I wish those that attend the best of luck and I hope that you can find a way to enjoy the experience.

I suppose anyone who shows up that isn't in costume should be sent to the tailors to sort themselves out.

Despite all the same old time after time, nobody ever learns, goings on on Union raids that probably help to cost its success I'll still be there.

I'm not a big fan of hamidon raids personally (they are just too boring in my eyes). I can still join with my rad/rad defender or earth/storm controller if needed.

well I'll see if I can give a lil acte de presence.. though I'll prolly be a bit later.

Quick question.

Do we need specific Aura-less, cape-less cozzies for this one?

Best be prepared, rather a rush at Steel Canyon Icon!

Well I still need to do this raid with Death Kiss my scrapper so if I'm available then I shall be there.I don't like to lead so I'll just be a 'grunt' if that's ok.

On a further (long) note with regard to public and private raids. I can see why people would want to only go with private raids but we will always need public ones. In my case I have few friends, not due to being horrible or hard to get on with but because I'm fairly shy to start with and takes me a while to make and trust people. If your a global friend of mine you can guarantee it will be a friend for life situation if it's wanted. I am in a small SG with about 8 regular players albeit a lot of them are away from the game for different reasons at the moment. However because I haven't so many mates I don't have the luxury of private ones and if people assume that we all have as many friends as them then it's a bit unfair.

Those that are on private raids if they want to invite me as a global friend then that's cool but as that isn't going to happen I have to rely on public ones. I'm sure I'm not the only one in a situation like this so for that reason public raids should never be dismissed. If they are then people like me will never be able to do them.

Thank you Paragon for giving me a chance

TAUNT TEAM - Recruiting

Well, this is to call for players needed to form the taunt team.

I leave, of course, to the raid leader all the necessary considerations about the main strategy and basic rules (cossie, toggles, etc...).

The Taunt team should be formed by:

1 main taunt tanker (me)
1 backup tanker
1 grav/ice-kin troller
1 bubbler
4 empath (defenders only)

we can go with 5 empath and no bubbler if empaths are sure they can manage with clear mind.

Everyone first comer is welcome, but they must read this Guide

About the backup tanker.
I know, i am asking something hard to a tanker.... doing almost nothing (except if i go down or a gm come too close the team).
A stone tanker is preferred as i got no hp boosts, but any is welcome.

What i can assure is (i was a backup tank in the past):

1. a very good place to look close at raid and learn more.
2. a chance to be a raid saver, just pulling away that damned gm that aggroed empaths

The minimun slotting for taunt is 2 taunt + 2 recharge. Personally i have 2 taunt + 3 recharge + 1 range

If you have read the above mentioned guide, you'll know what bind/macro you must have.

Further details in Eden before starting.

Please, answer here or send me a pm.

Why do you need these?!

Also, you only need three empaths at the most. We usually manage with two and a /emp controller during the mito clearing. After the clearing is done, the controller goes and joins the hold group and two defenders is more than enough.

In all honesty, once the mitos are cleared, one empath is enough. Although having two is safer (due to crashes and stuff).

And I think the bubbler (and correct me if I'm wrong) is there for mez protection? Saves the empaths having to CM each other all the time.

Honesty, why u want to have less ppl?
If this is a public raid, have the ppl do the job.
The team is max 8 ppl, why i should run with less? I know it can works, but i want more empath, thx.
About bubbler, if u read the post, it's written that clear mind can be used instead of bubbler, so what's new?

I think 4 empaths is about right. As Empath says, 1 empath is probably enough for just Hami. The problems is that the Hami tank will get aggro from multiple Mitos during the clearing phase, for me it was something like for 75% of the clearing phase. Once the holding phase starts you could probably cut down to 2.

Why the controller?

@Unthing ... Mostly on Union.

It's right.

Anyway, during hold phase, i could (as any) have lag problems, so a well positioned pet could help.

I know these are optional, but why don't use them if u can?
If i loose target and have no other way to do it, why wasting entire raid just because a single troller is not a must?
And don't forget the kin secondary....

I've never been on a hami raid before, but can listen to instructions well enough. If there's room I have Ravenhart Lev 50 Inv War Mace Tanker who'd like to take part.

You can do a raid with two empaths TOTAL backing the tank up. =p
