GGers at the Brighton Expo

Quick reply from the hotelroom in the hotel the Con was held. Had a great time meeting everyone, I think I was a lot more nervous then I had liked to admit, but it's the truth.

I gor only a piccy done of Liz, but they had some trouble locating half the artists on sunday... Rockjaw had a solution for that, though, which I am sure he will post about later.

A more detailed report will follow. :-)

Found out from Stef that Bridger loiters at GG

Really? Gosh.

Learn something new everyday... Unfortunately I have already learned something today, so this will have to be forgotten.

It.
Was.
Amazing.

It really was fantatsic being able to meet up with you guys, and by jove, we have to do it again in future, and hopefully Wordy and Jen can join us as well.

As Aisla said, it was great to see the faces behind the characters, and as Zortel has summed up, we had a lot of fun, even if it did involve eating something squishy that tasted like chocolate spread and brown sauce mixed together.

*puts hand up* Suggestion for possible future-ness?

Bit closer to Scotland possibly?

Manchester or even Brum would do... (Although Glasgow or Edinburgh would be better...)

I know this great restaurant in Groningen, you guys will love it!
Maybe we can meet there?

(ok, so I don't really know a restaurant in Groningen, but you get the idea )
(and for those that don't know (which would probably be most of you) Groningen is a city in the north of The Netherlands...)

Jen and I have had hugs from nearly everyone who went. Odd as it sounds, it's incredible to know we were missed. It really is a humbling feeling to know that people care so much.

In case you haven't guessed by now, we both missed you all like crazy and were utterly gutted and miserable yesterday!

But yes, I'm already at work plotting something.

How many people think they could make it to Ireland in January....?

I saw a girl in white with purple and blue in her hair dont know if it was any of you, But on my way to the expo i could hear stuff that sounded li,ke it was from GG i heard ellie, doc, liz or lyn Mentioned and was kinda listening in but it failed as brighton is too busy for my liking , prefer the countryside

Wandered about the stalls, got handed bits of paper, headed up to the Upstairs PlayNC stand and watched people play. Saw the backs of the heads of Silver Weasle and Stasis, listened in on some conversations (-What- was Bridger apologising about so much for!)

I was there at the same time, recognised you by the blue hair, would have said Hi but I had two teenagers in toe.

So belated Hi!

Hope it was good At least I hope it was better than my weekend of plans going awry. Nineteen people who say they'll turn up for a game... one of them does so.

So that was my saturday I am currently turning bright green with envy

FINALLY got home!!! Would you believe I left Brighton at about 4:50, and I've been home 20 minutes? BLEEPING TRAFFIC! :<

Anyway, I had an absolutely FABULOUS time! Everyone was really great and we all had an excellent time and a good laugh! As Z said, she was nearly didn't come to the restaurant with us, much to all our quite understanding dissapointement, but as we got I outside I just happened to look left and.. Wham! She was there! So I was like.. "uh.. Guys... turn around!" Followed by LOTS of yays and a "damn the panic attack, I'm coming anyway" from Ellen!!

The meal was lovely, my first time with Japanese food and chopsticks. AS max said, that aubergine thing.. well... It's a good job the lighting was low or most of us wouldn't have touched it! Tasted nice, but it definately looked like something you'd find floating in a jar in Frankensteins lab!

I'm sure everyone else in the restaurant thought we were total nutters though, as we weren't keeping our conversations about GG terribly quiet

Come Sunday we met up and had a terribly unhealthy English breakfasy (YUM!), then back to the Expo. Queued for an hour and half to get Ghosts picture of Grav Mistress done, then queued for another 2.5 hours only to get right at the front of the queue again when they stopped!!! I'm SOOOO sorry CatKeeper! I tried, and I've got the flat feet to prove it! But, as you'll all find our Monday or Tuesday, all is not lost!!!

Right... TO GG!!!

They're either on my blog, which you can link to from my Sig, or they're on the Comic Expo Thread as of NOW!

Sounds like you lot had a definate bunch of fun.
I don't know why I haven't popped in here yet, probably 'cause I hadn't really noticed the thread yet.

I haven't been roleplaying for a long time, nor have I had much experience with MMORPG's either. City of Heroes/Villians is pretty much a first for me.

I'd read a few times that there were RP'ers in CoH/CoV, but I hadn't really known where you lot hang out. I think I'll bring Scarlet past GG and see what's going on there, adding a RP twist might make him interesting to play again.
Only been in London for 6 months now, so I guess I could use that as a bit of an excuse, but not a big one mind.

Yep, if my computer fan hasn't decided to pack it in. (I've been having some troubles with it of late) I'll definatly come and make a turn round GG this 'eve.

Look forward to seeing you there!

Just remember, it can take a few visits to figure out what's going on..

I have the patience of a ... small furry mammel?... no that wouldn't work... hiberanting bear? perhaps, but then I wouldn't be paying any attention... urm... rock?

We have a rock.. he's called Moss...

Is Moss very patient then?
'cause then I'd be as patient as Moss.

From what I gather... he is... Apparrently he forgot to speak to his worhippers one day for about 4000 years.. Hanging around in one spot for that long... he's either stupid, or patient!

o?

O?

O dear, yes well... I doubt if I'm quite that patient.
A few hours, A few days, A few weeks maybe even... but definately not 4000 years... I wonder if GG would have had a makeover in that time?
Heck I wonder where CoH/CoV will be by that time?

Matrix style plug in and play options?
Can you imagine?
I'd never stop playing then!
