AV Killer Competition!

If Kat wants to stick to her origional idea there is no problem with that, i was just making a proposal to allow her to choose her own AV.
She is stuck with Chimera because that is the easiest one to find.

Do both those toons suck at AV killing? The closest thing I've done to this is trio'ing the energy melee AV from one of the PI arcs with 2 scrappers and my dark/dark defender.

Would the dark/dark be any good either?

How do you feel about Spines/WP + Rad/Elec?

Sticking to the original idea. The biggest rule in this contest is the no temp powers rule. That is the one I care about the most.

I know personally for me the ONLY thing that makes this game fun is a challenge. Easy [censored] does not turn me on.

Last night I was tanking for a Pingu ITF (or mostly Pingu). I said I was going to tank the entire platform to Rommie. Someone said are you crazy on invincible? We had several SK's and were a little low on damage and no empath. Who gives a [censored]? I did it, we all died. It was fun as hell.

Anyone can do things the safe or easy way. I "solo'd" Chimera yesterday. Solo, no temp powers. In fact I only used half of my tray of inspirations and didn't die once. I was on a squishy, not a uber scrapper. It can be done. Using temp powers to do something that can be done without them is cheap IMHO. Its not a challenge. I am not giving away a prize to someone for doing something the cheap and easy way. Sorry.

I may tweak the rules some more in the next day or two, in case there was anything else I missed. However one thing that won't be changed is the no temp powers. I will solo this contest my damn self and keep my prize first. :-)

And how do you keep a player from having a group of friends with an AV-killer team from running the same AE mission number when the contestant gets it and then giving the contestant the code when they complete it?

Besides, as was already pointed out, the temporary power nukes and pets tend to trivialize most AV's regardless of what the player is actually using. i've been to 15 minutes in the jello Hami raids that used nukes and pets to burn straight through Hamidon and his mito spawns. Half the raid time was just clearing the first set of mitos so there was room to set up undisturbed, then a few minutes and Bam! Hami's down.

Actually having an observer in each mission the only way to keep it mostly honest.

I don't feel like reading all that crap but I'm definitely down for this. I'll see if I can muster up a partner. If I sign up solo do I have to pick a specific toon or can I just throw my name in there and decide wut toon to bring once I know what my partner will be using?

Please put me and Doom down as a Duo if you havent already! Ty ma'am

If entering a duo team, what difficulty level will the flashback be set to? Will it be the same for both duo and solo teams? Is there an order the competitors will be running in? And where are we to meet?
