What's your first color power change going to be?

Okay let's see:

Deamus the Fallen:

- Dark Melee: All Powers changed to a dark purple/red tone. If possible, change Siphon Life's animation to something that has a stabbing animation that has a green ring travel from my opponent to my chest (resulting in the heal).

- Energy Aura: Overload's Particle effects turned into a sort of Force Shield (think like the old Sonic Shields, but a little more subdued)

Dragos Bahtiam:

- Fire Blast: All Blasts changed to a Blue Flame.

- Ice Manipulation: All Attacks changed to red ice (Exceptions: Shiver, Frozen Aura).

Altimus Onega:

- Gravity Control: Dimension Shift's animation (assuming I take it) makes the target almost completely invisible.

Probably others as well.

Experiment with it on Test once it goes into beta; from the way that Auras operate, anything that's black is completely transparent; for characters that I wanted to have an aura like, say, black tendrils, I needed to pick either the next gray up from black or the darkest purple/blue to get something that showed up.

Not a color change, but first thing, my SS/Inv Brute is gonna get the animation for Punch changed to something that remotely resembles an actual punch.

I'm generally happy with the colors of my existing characters' powers. One exception that springs to mind is my long-neglected spines/regeneration scrapper. It sounds as if I can finally make the spines look properly thorn-like, and if they can be tinted on a per-outfit basis, I can have a different version for each of his four seasonal costumes. (The gaudy glow of regeneration stays for him; part of his concept is using Invisibility to turn into a cloud of lights.) I'll also change my electric/energy blaster's Energy Manipulation to pale blue to match her electricity.

I will, however, make some new characters based on specially colored powers. I'm considering a radiation/energy or /electric blaster in yellow, since yellow is my favorite color. I'm also thinking about an ice/something tank with faintly greenish ice armor based on Antarctic icebergs, which are often tinted green due to microorganisms in the ice.

Still waiting to know if transparencies and color darkness are handled separately. I would really like the Villain-side Invulnerability, but if I pick black on my Scrapper in today's aura system I'd just get a very faded out white Invulnerability aura.

If I can change Energy Manipulation or Energy Melee's color effects to 'none', then I'd actually play those characters again. The pink pompoms just felt ridiculous after a while.

All of my TA/Dark's Dark Blast attacks will be changed to white (or blueish white/purple-blue and white, like the Peacebringer attacks).

Other than that, no plans. I'll see what strikes my fancy later.

No point listing them, really-- just going to start with character #1 on Freedom, then work my way through four servers of alts.

More are getting new colors than not, that's for sure.

I was thinking of turning my Psy/NrG blaster(Justice: Ikari Nagami)'s brain bullets and "Pompoms" to an angry-looking red to match his aura.

My main Scrapper(Virtue: Maximus Leo)'s Invuln will change to Gold I think.

I have a few other Ideas, but I dunno just yet.

I'm actually conflicted. My original vil main is an Energy/Thermal Corr whose schtick is that he's wearing a (somewhat out of control) nuclear battlesuit. Blue energy blasts and creepy blue flames? Green/green? Make everything white? I honestly can't decide.

My ElM/ElA Brute is going to get pink electricity though.

Well to start Blood Spectre's Dark Blasts and Radiation emissions will end up being dark bloody red. Natch.

Coiling Cobra seems fine.

I'm on the fence with Doctor Online. His red lightning comes from Deathsurge, so I'll probably keep it.

Project Dragonfly's energy aura I want to change. I dont know how just yet, but I'm eager to see what happens.

I'll probably recolor Scissor Man's SR effects to match his costumes, so he looks like he's leaving a Flash style after image.

Nemean's Regeneration will be switched to a more earthy tan color.

Archon Hellheim is probably getting black ice. Or as dark as I can make.

I'll probably lighten Voidmonger's Dark Armor to a less obscuring dark blue or gray.

0v3rm1nd's Mind and Electricity powers will probably become blue. Or yellow. Both the same color though.

The Big Cheese's Invulnerability is getting changed so it no longer looks like he has stink lines. Probably to a color of yellow that is difficult to see next to his armor.

My Thermals will no longer coat anyone in green fire.

Gah, so many changes I will make!

Viv's electricity will be white and a very light yellow. Like so..

Energy Manip will either be blue or white, depending on the costume.

I'm not gonna do much with color changes to start. Arblis' Ice Armor is going to be whiter (ice is white! And white will look way better on her!)..
Destined to Die is getting a slightly darker, much fuchsiaer Regen while keeping her Dark Melee default..
I'm sure I'll think of more to do with it once it's released. Reflavoring Dark Miasma as Snowy Doom would be pretty hilarious. With that you could get Ice AND Dark in one powerset even!

Wait, there's one- Space Needle, my spines scrapper, will be ditching the bananas ASAP.

Yanno... that's the one thing I'm NOT looking forward to... the power effects that get put on other people being recolored in ways that just offend one's sense of aesthetics.

I do hope they put in a setting to 'disable color effects' on specific characters, so the client just goes with the defaults from them.

Though, I do want to colorcode the various protection bubbles I put on people so I know when they need to be refreshed. The big bubbles (Force/dispersion) are going to be transparent.

Ok, so my Endurance Buffs will be green, my heals will be blue, my dark blasts will be white and my energy blasts black. I think my spines will be orange and my Pom Poms will be Yellow.

This is a nice thread, i will be taking my dark defender and getting light purple (mauve) mists Shadow Fall. That would be so cool to have purple tentacles and other effects.

every character i have with hasten and superspeed is going to get hasten and superspeed dimmed to near invisibility. love the powers, hate the graphics.
