Animation
<ul>[*]Zenith Hoverbots will no longer loop their exploding death animation
[*]Rikti Drones will no longer loop their exploding death animation[/list]
Badges
<ul>[*]Fixed a bug that would cause some players to earn nonexistent Arena badges and immediately have them revoked.[/list]
Emotes
<ul>[*]The basic /emote juggle now works while flying.[/list]
Invention System
<ul>[*]Damage resistance bonuses granted by Invention Origin sets like Aegis or Shield Wall will no longer be modified by archetype modifiers. This means that all archetypes will get the advertised bonus on the enhancement. [*]All damage proc effects in Invention Origin enhancements will now state the rate at which they will be triggered, the damage type they inflict and the measure of damage they inflict.[/list]
Mission Architect
<ul>[*]Removed powers from Destructible Object mission objectives that harmed or affected players in some way. These objects should simply explode upon reaching 0 health and have no secondary effects like buffing or debuffing players or causing damage to either enemies or players. [*]These changes will not affect on Mission Arcs that are marked as Dev Choice. [*]These changes will not affect on Mission Arcs that are marked as Guest Author [*]Destructible Objects that didn’t have a “glow” and sound pulse should now correctly have these effects [*]Fixed a bug where some players would receive an error message when entering an Architect mission (this error did not prevent players from actually entering the mission) [*]The Story Contact à “Contact Group” field will no longer reset to empty when editing a local or published arc. [*]When creating a Custom Boss and choosing the “Same as Boss” setting, the accompanying mobs will be the default Villain group of the mission in general. To circumvent this issue, you can use the Custom Tab for the accompanying mobs, and select the Custom group that the Custom Boss is in. [*]Removed Mending Mitochondria from Devouring Earth enemy group. [*]Custom Critters - Mercenaries summoning set - Attacks from this set should deal damage versus players now.[/list]
PVP Changes
<ul>[*]Fixed a bug where you could sometimes attack a player as they respawn in an Arena match [*]Changed Dominator PVP damage bonus to compensate for the improved base damage. [*]Fixed a bug where mez powers in PvP zones that were affecting NPCs were being limited to four seconds in duration. [*]Fixed PvP rewards to function once again. Now, influence, inspirations, and other normal rewards occur on every PvP kill, while PvP IO recipes can only be rewarded on rep-valid kills. [*]Fixed rep-validation to function in arenas, even though it doesn't give you any reputation in arenas. [*]Also lowering the rep timer from 10 minutes to 5 minutes. [*]Dominator - Energy Assault - Power Push now deals damage versus players correctly.

thank for making pvp recipees on small pop servers 100% unobtainable. thanks once again for taking advice from others and myself about alternate ways to stop people from farming them without making them impossible to get unless you pvp on freedom. thank you for putting yet another nail in our pvp coffins on small pop servers.

to further explain my frustration with this going to live. the pvp recipee changes are to prevent farming them by having a second account or friends stand still to get alot of kills very fast and farming the recipees.

the current known ways of doing this was afk farming them 30 minutes at the time in the arena and popping wakies in a pvp zone usually in bloody bay standing by the pill store.

a summation of suggestions made on test were to disable wakies in a pvp zone so they cannot be used at all. this eliminates zone farming all together.(at least makes it more comparable to actual pvp.)

second suggestion was to time how long it takes to go from rez in hospital in rv to get to full health and make it to city hall and use that time as a rep timer for the arena.



there were more suggestions i left out but i feel those 2 would have solved the problems and still allowed low pop servers the ability to have a chance at a drop. as it stands when you only have 3 or 4 people to attack the rep timers eliminate any chance to get a drop. this change is as short sighted a change i have ever seen the devs make to curb farming. and I for one am very angered by this change.

If you PvP on a low pop server and the drops are that rare than no one will have the PvP IO on the low pop server and there will not be any balance issues. I can see the main reason people farmed them in the arena is to sell them for outrageous prices on the market.

Still think there is a better way to go about the PvP IO drop rate, and the drops should not have been turned off until this half-baked "fix" was implemented. Many people have made reasonable suggestions that curb farming the PvP IOs without essentially destroying the drop rate during actual PvP - please read these suggestions and try them out instead of staying with this poorly-designed system.

No, the main reason was to have PvP IOs to IO your PvP character with. Given the prices these IOs are fetching now, that's no longer a likely proposition.

the market is cross server. the point is unless you pvp on fredom you cannot even get a chance for the drop unless it is the first kill of your pvp session. the way the rep timers work is if you kill some one a timer starts where you cannot get rep from that person for 5 minutes. if you kill him again within that 5 minutes that timer resets. and to top that off the guy who got killed has the same timer on him so if he comes back and returns the favor he resets that timer himself.

to explain that better. if i am on a team of 2 fighting another team of 2. lets say i get killed. i got killed but my timer for the person who killed me is set for 5 minutes b4 i can get a chance of a drop.

if you are on a team and a team mate kills some one you share the rep and that starts your timer on that person as well. the rep timer gets reset no matter who does the killing unless you sit in the base solo and wait out the timers. it is a very retarded way to work a rewards system. and unfairly hurts low pop servers.

Thank Goodness, they need a fix and overhaul. Those Chain healing Globs were broken. Once they hit you, self healing inspirations and powers don't work at all. They also jump around and move after you push them with a force field.

Rikti raids will be back in full swing with the explosion animation fixed too.

PVP progression is looking better all the time o.o; I'm seeing balance for once, not just a set of uber builds

All other fixes are welcome, though I wasn't aware of the issues with granite o.@

Course thats just my opinion, PVP needs to be brought back to the masses and make the rest of us folks who wanta play the game survivable in the zones if we want to get the badges

My guess is it's still to early to tell from datamining. SF/TFs are usually tough the first couple weeks until players learn the path of least resistance. So the devs probably do not want to up the merits too much if datamining a month later shows them average completion time is much much shorter then the pervious month.

Not necessarily. It is now perpetually out of balance because of the people on low pops who already have their PvP IOs from farming (who haven't field stripped their characters for 1 Billion+ a pop on the markets) can outperform those who do not yet (and most likely won't ever) have them.

Now, the obvious solution is simple. You'll need 30-50 of your closest friends on your server that PvP, or people who are willing to come to a Pvp Zo...nvm...that won't work either.

Now the solution is simple. What you need to do is set up a PvP night where people who want to PvP can... nope, still not seeing it.

Oh Oh Oh I know... you can raid one of the RMT Sites, rip their client database, build a super computer that can run 2,000 clients/acounts simultaneously, and program the bots to Mega Farm the accounts in a Maypole fashion. You don't have to stop there. If you can infiltrate security holes in local networks, you can take control of more and more computers to...Wait...That would prolly be a bad thing. Yeah, scratch that...

There really is no solution that prevents farming while allowing normal play.

The views I've seen so far since I13:
PvP was revamped to allow the special olympics of everyone's special, and everyone's a winner. This was to encourage n00bs to come in and think they had a shot where they could win w/o skill. This drove out a load of vets.

PvP IOs were introduced as a way of rewarding those left to drink the Kool-Aid and get with the new PvP program. The Markets made several billionaires in the process. PvP was crippled and limping to the cliff.

PvP IOs are set so astronomically high via punishing drop rates and discouraging PvP period.

There will always be a hole in the armor.
Farmers will always find it.
Marketeers will always profit
RPers will always tell the story of woe
Doomsayers will crymoard00m
Powerlevelers will gain new levels for lowbies
lolPvPDevsPvEMATixAEBabiesPLn00bzAllUrGameBelongTo Us!!

A new method to crack this timer will arise and proliferate. The cycle will continue ad naseum.

I feel that the pvp changes are extremely unfair to nonfreedom pvp players. That is unless i can call them on the phone and tell them I am going to rv on pinnacle and they have everyone in the office log in and fill the zones since they arent gonna do that they need to find a better way to fix it. it really isin't asking much. I am not asking for an advantage only fairness
