It is often best to think of every angle and option before defaming people in public.

Something tells me that the RMT people don't need defending.

I've helped Winter Lord Babies understand the game better when I bumped into them in game, and I help those who ask me now. Those I try to help be better players; the RMT people. . .I don't see what can be defended about them.

[/ QUOTE ]

I fail to see what does that have to do with my reply you quoted, and Quoting Someone Only To Completely Ignore It is a capital sin worthy to be met with rudeness, so here you go :

It's already rather stupid to call other people ignorant when you're the one who's clearly not informed, but to try to justify your own stupidity because of the wrongdoings of a particular group of people unrelated to this topic is not only irrelevant, it's also completely retarded. RMTers are bad, hence everything bad in this game is because of them ? Someone is against your stupid assumption, so it must mean he's defending RMTers ? Come on now.

Posting this useless topic is contributing to global warming. That's bad. You're bad. You're evil. RMTers are evil. You're a RMTer. See how fast this becomes completely stupid ? Yes, that's how stupid your post was.

I'm not even touching your next point, whatever it is. Doing random good things don't make a stupid thread any less stupid, but it seems like it's a trend for you to assume completely unrelated things are related. Cut the karma crap and stop looking like a fool - research your facts before posting aggressively, unless you want the heat you're prone to get.

Considering the lower levels of that hold set usually sells for a few hundred-thousand, I'd consider it cheap. The IOs don't even need rare salvage to be made, making the cost in making it even less than those that need Hami Goo, Deific Weapon or even the lesser priced rares like the Heads Up Display.

I wasn't ignoring what you said. You never specified what I was defaming, so I had to chose which one you were talking about, the RMTs, which is what it seemed like Angry Citizen was doing at the time of his replies, or the AE Babies, which I was trying to help. Since I wasn't saying AE Babies are evil or anything, I assumed you meant the RMT Farmers, thus I talked about them.

I'm not sure what your issue is with me trying to help others understand the game, but if you do, then more power to you I suppose. Much like the replies in that thread, I try to help others when I can. Since I didn't think that the original picture I took was of a transfer, having not done one ever nor seeing them done, I came to the (wrong) conclusion that it was someone who didn't know what they were doing. In the other thread the new player bought many basic enhancements from the market, which isn't always cheaper than vendors. It isn't that much of a stretch to think that new players would waste money on what they don't know about. Even Rabid_Metroid said that he came to the same conclusion that I had, that someone new to the game was wasting money; so what I had originally thought is not unheard of.

I meant that to say 'few hundred to a few thousand', not a few hundred-thousand. My mistake.

That's why I consider it cheap. A few of those IOs were selling for 10, not 10,000, just 10. For a lower level character that's plenty cheap.

Prices on some items on the Blueside Market are anything but cheap. What sells for 10 Inf Redside can cost 10,000 or more Blueside. This is due to a mixture of population, Inf on hand, drop rates based on Magic/Tech drops, and the like.

You a "farmer" that I already have on ignore making a post about "gold farmers" is ironic.

When you are part of the problem is is hard to see what the solution has always been, but then again - I've been saying it for months now.

Or maybe, just maybe, this crazy thing called "supply and demand".

also, there is no practical difference between 10 inf and 10,000 inf in the modern game. Not when you can craft a generic recipe drop for a few thousand inf and sell it for a few HUNDRED thousand inf.

Conspiratorial Evidence
Red:1-1.2M
Blue:500k-1M

Crushing Impact 50 Recipes

Want me to keep going? Some prices are higher blue, some higher red, but it's pretty much the same.

I always think of it like the scene in that one police movie where the two criminals call everyone a "Cop."

"He's a farmer. You can tell because he has a controller"
"She's a farmer. She's in Portal Corps."
"The lack of badges means he's a farmer."
"RPing in Pocket D. She's a farmer, and so's the cat on her shoulder."

I'm assuming for quite some time if I've been put on ignore for it. I'm just not sure when that happened; I've never done any real farming; I think I've been on a doorsit farm 3 times my entire gaming history here. They were, for me, pretty boring. I just sat there and read my books while others took down the TV Nemesis crew. I've since quit from other farm teams when I find that they're AE Farms. I mean, if that's what you wanna do in the game, have at it; I don't find it fun myself, but others do.

I'm just curious about when I was considered a farmer and why.

I just thought it was funny. I don't know you in game to know who you are. It just seemed like a moment of opportunity to have some fun :P

Who knows?

Alt_oholic takes the position of "I don't like what farming is doing in this game" a bit farther than most.
I don't like some of the results that exploitive farming of the AE has resulted in, but haven't placed more than three people on forum-ignore. One or two were rick-rollers, and offhand I don't remember what the other one was.

I thought they meant they were on game ignore, not forum ignore. Maybe I misread it. It seemed they knew what was being said so I assumed game ignore.

You log into the same game with the same characters on the same server. You're obviously farming for who-knows-what, as there's no other reason to do that. You've probably even defeated the same type of enemy more than once, clearly making you the problem for whatever is wrong with the game.

FARMER!

The chappy who's got you on ignore is one of those zealous anti-farmer types. I'm on ignore too because I defended farming. Maybe he just ended up ignoring everyone who posted in that one farming thread that went for a dozen pages (yeah, that one.. not the other ten billion, that one)
