Yeah same thing happend to me. I was pretty baffled.
The minotaurs have that, IIRC.
*checks wiki* Yep, it's called Fetid Howl.

Wow. Well, I gotta say I must have just been really lucky all this time. Have never seen that happen before. Thanks for the info Aggelakis.

Now we just need someone to get some data on it...

[Fetid Howl]
-Resist
The Fetid Howl has reduced your Damage Resistance.
Power Range: 100ft.
Effect Area: Cone -- 60 degree arc
AoE, smashing energy damage
-15% resistance to all damage for 8s
I forgot my wiki password, or I'd edit it myself.
Also, I pulled the info box from the chat, not from the TF, so the actual debuff may vary.
Well, that explains why I never noticed getting hit by it; it's a relatively minor effect. Of course, it's also clearly not what the OP was talking about so we're back to square one as to why he had a -recovery effect during the ITF.

What is he talking about (And this happend to me yesterday) was that randomly I got hit with a temporary power. The power acted like the Vahizilok Disease temporary power that reduces your endurance by 20%, health by 20%, recovery, health regeneration. Its a nasty debuff.
I have no clue how I got it but it did give it to me in Mission 3 like the OP.
Next time that happens, look for a debuff icon under your health window and right click it for the actual name of the debuff and its stats. Take pics.

Next time I'm on ITF.. I'll keep an eye out for it.
Minotaur's [Fetid Howl] power does -res, as described. However, it also has a small chance to hit you with the [Diseased] power. I think the actual combat text is "Minotaur's Fetid Howl has Diseased you!"

Yup and dying and being rezzed doesn't eliminate this debuff. It runs it's full amount of time no matter how many times you die. If you hit the hospital afterwards you "can" sometimes make use of the detoggle on zoning bug which will occasionally reset the debuff.

Right-clicking on the power gave the name "Diseased". My apologies, but that is all I got to see. I didn't think to check the attributes or the combat attributes of it. I'm 100% positive it has a -Recovery effect on you as that is what made me find it, as my end was trucking along the entire mission till that moment.
However, I disagree with the above quote as, upon dying and being rezzed in the same mission, the effect was no longer present. That's not hearsay, that's actually what happened. I know, because I got toggle dropped from the -Recovery, smacked by 10 EB's and then rezzed by a fellow teammate.

Probably one of those powers that the Minotaur has always had, but is now just using thanks to AI improvements, like Malta Titan powers.
Maybe someday they'll actually be able to make the JumpBots .... Jump.

Disagree all that you wish, that doesn't make it so. My blapper has a total of 7% defense and gets hit with this about once every other ITF. Unless this has been repaired recently the debuff runs it's full length of time death not withstanding. The only time death has removed this debuff is with the recent return of the toggle drop bug and then only on occasion when that bug kicks in.
And yes I've bugged it numerous times

It's been around since the ITF was introduced in I12, I remember seeing it during one of our earlier runs and wondering where it had come from (that's where I discovered the combat logs). You'd think, though, that since the Fetid Howl power is what actually grants the Diseased temp power, there'd be a descriptor in Fetid Howl's real numbers readout that would give the percentage chance to grant that power (such as "Grants power 'Diseased' to target [x% chance]").
However, as some have pointed out, the "real numbers" readout is more "the numbers we think you'll be interested in, but not all of them" than "full revelation of power data." That's what RedTomax is for, but I'm not sure if the exact data is there either.

Yeah, I definitely got the Diseased power on me a couple times back when the ITFs first came out. I thought everyone knew about this thing?

[/ QUOTE ]
The "Real Numbers" are the numbers that come out in printouts, and occasionally the numbers inherent in a pseudo-pet presented as numbers for the power that summons it. They're by no means complete, not always true and not consistently reliable, but very consistently, unusual effects are plain missing from the readouts altogether, especially when the power is complicated.
Take Mastermind Detonator, for instance. It doesn't actually DO anything, but it gives the selected henchman a power that he is compelled to use immediately. It gives two different powers based on the henchman, and one actually causes the henchman to summon a pet, which has several powers of its own. So it's a power that grants a power that summons a pet that activates a power. Because real numbers try to pretend there IS no such thing as pseudo-pets, this power displays precisely NOTHING.
Or, for an easier example, try the GvE Jump Pack.

Odd thing with this power is, I have NEVER gotten it on ANY mission but the 3rd of the ITF. . .
[ QUOTE ]
Disagree all that you wish, that doesn't make it so...
[/ QUOTE ]
It does, at least to me, because I know what happened in the mission. I'll agree that it's possible that the stars aligned just right that this was the first time I ever received the effect and I got hit with the toggle drop bug all at the same time. However, I was defeated, so no toggles. I didn't leave the mission to hit the hospital, I didn't leave the mission to hit the base, nada. Just fell on my face, waited a minute, got rezzed by a teammate and poof, all gone.
At any rate, I think this one can be closed as "not a bug" since it's a real power in the game that I just never saw before, and have just been lucky enough to avoid all this time. Or, as someone else noted, the Minotaurs are using the power more frequently now due to AI changes. Thanks to all that responded with the info. Much appreciated.

Was in an ITF tonight and received the "Diseased" temp power on the 3rd mission, the one where you fight the computer. I received it in the middle of a fight in the valley. I didn't have it entering the mission, didn't have it while fighting the computer, nothing. It just popped on while in the middle of a fight.
Is there something in this mission, or a little known power that one of the Cimeroran Traitors have that can cause this? I've never, ever seen or heard of this before, and I've run dozens of ITF's.
If it helps with testing, I manged to be defeated because of it as it has a massive -recovery portion to it and I got toggle dropped. When I rezzed, I no longer had it on me.
