Someone attacks you. In zone pvp. Someone esle kills them. They respawn and try to attack you. You kill them. No rep. No recipie roll. Way to jack up the price of pvp recipies even more!!!.

In other words, those that atctually PvP and end up fighting the same people in zones will get fewer drops unless they sit around for 5 min after each kill.

Right. Just like there are certainly plenty of people on Test to look at this new patch and make sure it's all working right.

Except there were a total of two people in Beta Testers when I logged off just now...


Always /bug something when you see it rather than presume someone else has done it. They might know about the STF bug and have it in the queue, or everyone might have left it to someone else.

Uhh the STF bug is live. I can't see how someone somewhere hadn't /bugged that by now.

For completeness on the STF:

Who gave the Cimerorans Coffee ? Thread which could be related to the issue. Mobs being 'active' when spawned. If the Repairmen are spwaning 'aware' there first heal will fire before they can be hit.

Players have bugged it in game, I personally haven't because why start a TF when you know there is a bug that stops you finishing it ?

^^ This is the main issue with a rep-based system. ^^

The low-population server issue has been mentioned more than once already.

Do knee-jerk, anti-farming measures have to be attached to everything now?

EDIT to add: The 5-minute timer is an obvious compromise, but having a rep-based system still seems less than optimal unless the drop rate has been noticeably increased.

I agree, macskull.

If the devs kept the same 1 to 100 ratio for kills to drops... and it only works every 5 minutes... and with rep timers not resetting ifyou afk farm in arena...

Rates are going be double to triple what they were at their worst. Wish I hadn't sold so much over the holiday weekend. I may even nix my blaster's pvp build and sell in a few weeks.

New farming method if they were to increase the drop rate would be the same as rep farming for the 400 rep badge. Log in one toon, kill. Log in another, kill, every 5 min you cycle through your toons on your secondary account and start over.

No matter what you will not stop people from farming. All you do is end up costing the people that want to buy the farmed product more money while the farmers are stuck with less efficient methods and much higher profit per sale.

There is a much easier fix. Remove inspirations from pvp zones. This would slow down farming without hurting the casual pvper.

Nice to see Destructables get tweaks but I was really hoping for fixes to Defendables.

Toss the idea out there and mabye someone could come up with something that would minimize the problems.

Really bad fix to the PVP IOs. I mean do you want IOs costing 2 Bills? Really?

You seriously are making me want to farm them MORE now that when I get one I will basically get as much money as I can hold.

Would still be able to craft them from 3 of anything. Just less AFK farming.

While I can't participate yet, I think some clarification may be needed here. Whe it say "hit", does this mean the DMRs will damage Reichs during Unbreakable or simply pull him out of it? The two different concepts will yield different needed strategies.
