Villain Hamidon Raid

A couple people have expressed interest in leading future red raids. They'd like to see the ropes first, so we are setting one up for Sunday evening at 5pm eastern/4 central/3 mountain/2 pacific.

We will probably try to do a bit of EoE farming before the raid just to be on the safe side.

Some extra reasons to come:
-Hamidon is worth 52 merits now.
-Support new leaders that may bring more raids in the future.
-No more blue mitos from hell.
-What would fourth of july weekend be without making some fireworks in game?

Just because I've never done one redside...

How would one effectively bring a Mastermind to a Hami Raid? (My only high level villain... she's a bots/dark MM with Ghost Widow's PPP.)

MMs do ok during the raid.

All you *have* to do is send in your bots one at a time into the goo to keep the blue that is assigned to you distracted while the raid goes in. As the raid progresses (ie. once yellows are down) you can go in if you want and multitask.

This means keeping your bots on your blue and helping the green team. Usually this is holds, if you have one, and rezzing, if you can. And buffing/debuffing as appropriate. Once the greens are down everyone goes in and helps defeat the blues (with ranged attacks) and then you can concentrate on hami.

Rinse and repeat for each round, or flavour as necessary depending on the raid leader's plan.

I can try to make it, depends how fast I get home that day.

I should be able to attend. Blue Team anyone?

I actually have villains that can come to a red-side raid now!

Problem is, I'll most likely be asleep when it's happening since I have to work that night.

I'll be AFK this 4th of July weekend, sipping coctails at the beach or poolside.

Yep, I can debuff (Darkest Night, Tar Patch, Twilight Grasp, Fearsome Stare, Howling Twilight), hold (Soul Storm), heal (Twilight Grasp), and rez (Howling Twilight). Plus the Dark Servant throwing his own stuff around. Spiffy. 2pm Sunday I should be able to do, looking forward to it. I've done dozens of Hami raids heroside, just never done one redside.

Turns out I have to work Sunday. Stupid new job.

GJ all. Feel free to post any info on the bugs experienced at the raid here.

It took a couple runs to get going smoothly, but we had a fair number of new people. It took two wipes on the first bloom to get everyone some experience. Once they got the hang of it and we got some fresh brutage for the second yellow team the raid went smoothly minus some miscommunication on the third bloom.

It wasn't the quickest raid we've had by far, but looking back at it, considering how few people there were actually in the abyss the number of those actually helping out and the number of people who hadn't done it before, it went quite well imo.

That's because all of the moochers came out from behind their rocks then to get their hit on Hami. Happens every time, on both sides.

Between the end of the 3rd bloom and killing him, the population went from ~27 unhidden to 40 unhidden

Took me some time to get used to my SS/Stone Brute sorry i had some issues regarding taunting hami. Grats on a completed raid for all that were there. i tried to build my brute as a tanker i hope i did a decent job i had great corruptors providing heals and an MM not having a backup brute i did the best i could.

Glad to hear that you guys had fun on your hami raid.I've never made a SS/Stone Brute. I heard they are really hard to play. Not sure what it is exactly, but my god! If taunting isn't the hardest thing ever, what is?
