Have you hugged your Huntsman today?
I haven't hugged my huntsman lately. He doesn't have enough Inf to finance both his Bane build and his Huntsman build...
I should get off by [censored] and transfer some over to him, those buffs are hot.
>.> She's still my favorite VEAT.
/hugs
Very nice changes
It is kinda funny though, I noticed some minor endurance issues now in longer fights I didn't had before, sincce I can chain attacks a tick faster now.

You don't really need to, unless it's just to change the numbers. It will help to make a smoother attack chain, but unless it also reflects recharge times, most builds will still be the same.
[ QUOTE ]
I actually hugged mine yesterday... the changes were deffinately noticeable.
Edit... it also seemed like his run speed was considerably faster than I remembered it being. Did [Mentall Training] get a stealth buff? Maybe I just forgot how fast he moved.
[/ QUOTE ]
Sure the buffs were noticeable, I no longer have a continuous attack chain ... better find some more recharge.

WOOOT! It was already my favorite VEAT, but now its slightly cooler!

I'll second that. Not that it bothers me really, I just have to remember to stand closer to the Rad during AM.
Well, it's made me move Single Shot into my build and put it in early, since it's no longer the red-headed stepchild of the set.

Got a Mids suggestion? Want to report a Mids bug?
I'd still pick Pummel over it, just because it has an awesome sound effect, and a nice stun to boot.
Whats the back of my gun taste like?
*whack*
Looking at the huntsman guide on the FAQ's prompts me to ask the question: how is a huntsman really different from a crab except they dont have the +resist toggle and use the gun ranged attack instead of the spider arm ranged attack? What is the benefit of trying a huntsman build rahter than just going crab?
No stupid crab arms.
honestly, thats it?
Yeah, pretty much.

Yeah, pretty much.

Not really.
Huntsman can take a lot more team oriented powers without sacrificing anything.

What is this you speak of?
To me, as long as I can attack... I have an attack chain. Phooey on recharge and mindlessly using the same power order over and over again. Seems a bit too boring to me.

I have gaps occasionally at the moment which didn't happen before the changes, particularly if slowed slightly, a bit more recharge will fix that.

Were those changes in the last very small patch we got ?
I cant find the link, at least if it's this patch (07/01) it doesnt talk about any AT/Powersets changes...

Regardless of the other differences, this one is what recently made me finally give up my long-abandoned 42 crab and reroll a new SoA. I *really* disliked how the dual build setup doesn't eliminate the big, bulky, twitching while you fly crab backpack. But that's just me and my tastes. Besides, I made the original guy back when VEATs first popped in-and we all PL'ed the craB outta each other so fast with 8-man VEAT teams. That...was...legen...[wait for it]...DARY!
Basically too many 50's to count, but I'm generally a brute/scrapper/tank kind of guy.
Bah, the Crab arms were the whole reason I wanted a VEAT in the first place.

Meaning the Crab set is larger. The Wolf Spider set is smaller, but almost all the powers are very worth while.
That's like saying "Meaning a grapefruit is generally more filling than an orange?" and I'm saying "A grapefruit is generally much larger than an orange, but people like them both anyways, they're still citrus."
Of course, grapefruit taste like [censored], which is a good analogy for the crab legs
You're just arguing to argue. If you wanna be a dick, I'm not gonna respond to you anymore. This debate has been done to death, this is a thread about liking our Huntsman buffs, not you whining about our play style choices.

I'm not arguing, I'm poking fun at a strangely worded phrase. I suppose I should have put a at the end of that post.

Well, Single Shot is better than Channelgun and Burst is miles better than Longfang. The grenades are now exactly the same, except for one small factor: Frag Grenade on the Huntsman has a smaller magnitude of Knockback than the Crab version, such that until a certain level (30-something, if I remember correctly), it does knockdown instead of knockback. And Crabs don't get Wide Area Web Grenade. You can mix and match and go with a Crab-based Huntsman instead of a Bane-based Huntsman, but if you take any Crab powers, you get to deal with redraw. Then it becomes a trade-off between having greater passive defense, passive HP buff, a Stealth power with good suppressed defense, a hold (which requires mace redraw), and the super fun Surveillance debuff, or stronger armor (as an endurance cost toggle), greater +HP and heal on a long recharge, and some more pets. Oh and the Crab arms.
Really, the only "bunch more worthwhile powers" that the Crab has is Omega Maneuver, since a Bane-based Huntsman can always dip into Bane powers for Build Up, Placate, and the like, if they are so inclined.
