$30 for one slot?!!?!
A more reasonable amount would be $10 for 10 slots.
They could also be retroactive veteran rewards like the respecs: 3 slots per year maybe.
Personally I think they should just start handing out more dev's choice. I hope they are just waiting for the MA to stabilize a bit so they don't create too many locked DC missions that can never be updated with the latest technology.

1 per 3 months wouldn't be a bad way to do it. Or have them automatically unlock if one of yours arcs maintains a 3.5+ star average after so many plays.

I think they're going to want to make some money out of this, so a fee is what I would expect. That aT you'd avoid farmers getting note slots too-they're unlikely to need more than three.

First off, these first few only apply if there were no restrictions on being able to buy:
1) It would allow people who have lost their three MA arcs due to farming deletions to create more.
2) It would allow even other people to create more farming missions to get different things done in each one.
Now, if there were restrictions on them, like, say, if you've had an MA arc locked due to farming, you could no longer buy them, there would still be the following problems, in my eyes:
3) Each arc takes up space on the server. Unless the cost of the sale was high enough to match the amount of additional space that you'd need to hold all of the new arcs, you'd run out of space, or at least slow down on everything regarding the MA.
4) Each arc takes up space in the listing. Trying to find new arcs to do could become more of a hassle the more arcs are in the listing. 3 per person, at around 100,000 accounts, is still a possibility of 300,000 mission arcs in there. Giving people more based on vet time could quickly increase that to 600,000 or so. That's double the number of potential arcs in there.
5) Would allow people with a bigger wallet, or with more vet time, to accumulate tickets quicker than somebody else. If their missions are played equally, but one player has 6 mission arcs, and the other 3, then the player with 6 arcs could potentially make account-wide tickets faster. That's not too much of a problem in my mind, but it might still be a balancing issue that would need to be overcome.

You could take up to 2.3 meg. (Not exact, but using 1000k = 1M.) Say we had 50,000 people using all the slots, and all at that level. 115,000 meg... or 115Gb.
That's not a lot of space. Even given backups, redundancies and the like - that's *cheap.* I don't buy that as an argument. Sorry, Aett. Besides, I *can* pay for more slots right now - $15-$20, one month, three slots. Admittedly you need to re-pay to update them.

Well, that's still 115 Gb to search through each time you open the MA window. I'd be willing to bet that slower computers would have the same problems with that as they do at Wentworth's.
I'm not saying that it's a huge problem, but it's 115 Gb on top of everything else they've got on the servers.

You don't actually search through that much each time you open the MA. The searchable part of a mission is hardly more than a kb, and I bet that's really well indexed.

I like the idea Aett had. I have no problem with the idea as long as the exploiters that lost their arcs due to MA abuse can't buy more slots because their Master Account was flagged. If it's the Master Account they won't be able to buy them for any of their other CoH accounts.
