Lowdown – This arc is LOADED with humor, jokes, puns, etc. ranging for LOL to grooooaaaan. It features an entirely custom group with lots of dialog and humorous bios. My one small complaint about them is that I wish they were a little more varied in appearance. Both missions of the arc feature an ally who I feel is a bit too strong. I found here right off the bat and ended mission one with only a ten ticket bonus. These complaints are really minor and don’t detract much for the arc.

Funny Level – Groans to almost peeing your pants funny

Fun Level – A day at Disneyland with no lines

Let’s up it to 11! – Tone down the ally and maybe spruce up the minions and Lt.s. The contact does not talk the way it does in game which may really bother some people.

Overall Rating – Now THAT’S Comedy!

Ack! Thanks for the FYI will look and see what the skinny is.

Edit- Update......yep found the issue (one of the default descriptions for Carnies had an HTML error.....go figure!) anyway it should be fine now, and this explains exactly why my count hasn't increased in a while, so thanks WN!

Just a couple of things (and I hate being a stickler!).

- Please be sure to review the first post of this thread and follow the instructions before submitting an arc to the queue.

- Please Either use the format l layed out to submit the review or at least be sure everything in my format is also covered in yours (Some are missing global IDs for example).

Thanks!

Title: Ctrl + Alt + Reset (although temporarily has a longer title tied to my City Scoop article about it)
Arc ID: 137561
Creator’s Global Name: @Bubbawheat
Mission Count: 4
Notes: lvl range 15-30, somewhat serious story just with lots of humor bits thrown around. Nothing above a boss. Also, had one report after my recent update that one of my objectives didn't spawn in the last mission. It worked for me afterwards, but I thought I'd mention it.

Lowdown – This arc featured great customs, great writing and some really great humor. The contact dialog is classic I especially enjoyed the last mission intro text. Of the missions the third was my personal fave, but they all were solid. The last boss with his ambushes were tough, but you are clearly warned.

Funny Level – Very humorous to ROTFLMAO

Fun Level - More fun than a barrel of monkeys!

Let’s up it to 11! – The custom with the bramble patch needs to loose it. I spent too much time waiting on that thing. You may want to remove the defeat all on mish three. It did not bother me, but it was a big map and some people hate those.

Overall Rating – A great, funny, well written arc. Do yourself a favor and play it.

Thanks for your input. I have tweaked the characters' powers a bit to balance them out, especially weakening the ally. I've not yet had time to look at the costumes, though.

This is a fun arc, but has a pretty serious bug that renders it unfinishable for heroes under level 40. Carnies won't spawn for heroes below level 40, even though they're marked as spawning much lower since they will spawn earlier for villains. I went through with a 34 scrapper and ground to a halt against the last mission for the handful of 40 Carnies inside. You should seriously consider removing them.

Title: Coulrophobia (Fear of Clowns)
Arc ID: 1178
Creator’s Global Name: @Mental Maden
Mission Count: 5
Notes – very difficulty sensitive. It can and has been solo'd but a team is recommended. If you want an easy ride don't bump the difficulty. If you want a challenge, crank it up.

[/ QUOTE ]

Lowdown – For an arc about clowns I was expecting a non-stop joke fest and though this arc is reasonable well written, the humor is on the light side. On the plus side the customs are all well done appearance wise and all have bios that rhyme in a humorous fashion (I do feel that the Big Bad should have broken this mold and gave more info). I did like the concept of a character's named Knock-knock and wish his dialog was a series of bad knock knock jokes. Still, the story and contact's dialog was solid throughout.

Funny Level – A cheap ride at the local fair

Fun Level - Varied

Let’s up it to 11! – More funny in the clues (don't tell me it is a ransom note, show it), add more variety to patrol dialog, give the objects some humor test, consider combining two mission into one or dropping one to up the pace.

Overall Rating – A decent arc with lot's of humor potential, but it still need some work in that area.

Thanks for the assessment and I took some advice on the EBs and knocked their difficulty down on some primaries and secondaries as well as fixing up some of the naming issues. That "all custom character" issue is annoying. Seems like everytime they do some changing to the system all kind of things get out of whack.

As far as the humor goes, to be fair its not just a humor arc; its also supposed to be a challenging arc as well. But sure I can go in and tweak up some of the funny. I do like your Knock Knock suggestions and will work on that.

I expected to get a lot more hate over the defeat all condition, but have not heard much about it. The map is technically a "medium" map set on random - so the fluidity of how one progresses through it might vary from play to play. Players have mentioned enjoying that mish best. I'll consider my options there.

I understand what you mean about Kinky Prawn (the custom who has plant control). I don't really want to give it a whole new powerset, but I will be seeing if I can drop that particular power once i15 comes along. The Prawns might be getting tweaked once we can customize the powers (i.e. stacked heals between Nurse and Gothic which really irritated me during one particular testing session)

Hmmm, I had exclusively played this with my level 50 toons. I had always assumed that a mob at too high a level simply wouldnt spawn. But you're correct, a level 30sh toon going against a 40 mob is a bit much.
I'll have to think about this one ... either restricting the level ranges with issue 15 or removing that faction.

Lowdown – It's a floor wax! No it's a dessert topping! No wait, it's both! That is kinda how I felt running this arc. It went from humor to drama to humor to drama though it did lean a bit more towards the humor. In any case I felt it was not firmly in the humor camp though the camp is just over the hill. The Daytime customs were nice and amusing. The contact's dialog is very good and some of the funnest bits of the arc.

Funny Level – What the???? - Humorous

Fun Level - A day at the beach

Let’s up it to 11! – The rescue in the last mish desperately needs her own bio! The supernatural elements need to be funnyed up.

Overall Rating – Worth a play, though I feel there is a very funny arc here just waiting to bust out.

Lowdown – This arc is all around goodness! The customs were some of the best looking I have seen and it was a shame they did not have bios. The arc featured funny and clever writing (lol's at one of the first mish objectives). You felt engaged through out and the four mishes pasted quickly. A word of warning, I played on a scrapper and thought a few times I would have been in a world of hurt had I not been so tough.

Funny Level – Milk through the nostrils!

Fun Level - Fun-tas-tic!

Let’s up it to 11! – The last map was a pain and I wasted several minutes searching for the last party to break up. Arr, where be the pirates bios?

Overall Rating – Despite a a few minor wrinkles that I am sure will be ironed out (I was only the second play on it) it is very fun and I would consider it a "must play" for those that love humor based arcs.

Cool. I fixed the two typos you pm'ed in game. Bios might be a bit problematic, i'm sitting somewhere over 99% - but I'll see what I can do. ( Had to scrap three of my custom faction earlier to fit in text - that was painful )

I've been through several maps for that final mission and this is the one that flowed the best and actually had the front and back positioning working for the AV and the hostage. If you have any suggestions...

Lowdown – A bizarre little arc. It starts with you looking for ... items... stolen by the Freakshow in a panty raid and gets stranger from there. The arc could use a bit of work; the biggest problem is that the Big Bad's motivation isn't really explained. I have a feeling the Big Bad (as well as the contact and an ally in the arc) is a character of the author or someone the author knows, and there is no doubt some RP reasons behind the Big Bad's plan. It just doesn't come across in the arc itself.

Funny Level – Mildly amusing.

Fun Level - So-so. Nothing inherently unfun about it; you're fighting Carnies and Freaks, with 2 unnanounced EBs thrown in. The dialogue is funny.

Let’s up it to 11! – Motivations need to be better explained. There were also a couple of lines that would no doubt make more sense if I knew the players or characters involved. I don't fault anyone for using their own characters or a friend's, but if you're going to do that everything needs to make sense to people who don't know them. There are also a couple of typos that I noticed.

Overall Rating – A mildly amusing arc that needs some work. It could be pretty funny to people who like a certain type of humor (Will Ferrel movies, Porky's, etc) but even if you're in it for the laughs it would be nice if the story came together better than it does. I'd say it's worth a play, though. The first EB's dialogue is worth reading, if nothing else.

Lowdown – It seems I have gotten a few missions like this one, that is, a mission I like that is low on humor. This arc is derivative of the Planet of the Apes movies (some of my childhood favs!) and as that, it delivers. Humor wise, I felt that there was little to be found other than some dialog and the names of the various ape commanders.

Funny Level – Mildly Humorous

Fun Level - A bucket of monkeys

Let’s up it to 11! – The bosses seem ripe for humor bios, I would tone down the ambushes a bit and you could easily change the contact to someone more humorous.

Overall Rating – An arc that is worth playing especially if you are an Apes fan. However, if you are looking for a strictly humor based arc you may be disappointed.

Totally understand your position, the idea came from ongoing in-jokes we have in the Angry Angel SG. The EB of Mish 1 is a new invention, otherwise the custom toons are based on members of the SG. That said ty to you and Hellguard for you critques and I did expand the intro dialogs to give it more backstory.
