What and/or Who was /jranger?
[ QUOTE ]
Actually, yes, yes it does make it incredibly stupid.
The people putting up entirely moronic ideas got pissed that people would just out of hand say "no" - because they supposedly wanted feedback about their idea.
When it came down to it, some of those ideas were *so* bad and *so* impossible to tackle, just a plain old "no" was the ONLY option. It wasn't mocking - it was the truth.
And of course - when those people who couldn't put a good argument together to salvage their ideas in the face of ANY critique - even "the devs don't want to do that, it would take too long" or "we don't have the game mechanics for that" - they would flip out and start crying "they're hurting my feelings!"
The only butthurtness going on was by people who could neither take a joke, NOR criticism. When given that indepth "not just a no, but here's a no and why all the reasons no is the best reply" responses, *they did not think it was good enough*.
So... sorry, sometimes /no IS the best answer. Sometimes people do NOT understand that THEY are not being judged by their posts - until they decide to force the issue. Someone saying "no, that's not a good idea" is NOT saying "I think you're stupid".
Until the poster in question starts coming back with "you all hate me! I don't know why I even post here! this is the worst community ever!"
Which is ... well, stupid and wrong. Some people are, just... stupid and wrong. And yet, they type and have access to the internet. >_>

In his world no one had a right to any opinion that didn't agree with him.

Tsk tsk tsk. It's one thing to *believe* that - I know I do. But trying to actually enforce that on other people is just stupid.
[/ QUOTE ]
The one thing that was truly comical about him was that the angrier he got, the worse his spelling and grammar became.
One look at a post of gibberish from him and you knew when he was foaming at the mouth and gnawing at the bedposts.
[/ QUOTE ]
You got me picturing this guy screaming at the monitor saying "The angrier hulk get, the worse his spelling get. AND HULK IS REAL ANGRY!"
[/ QUOTE ]
Zek can verify this,
He'd start ranting and then out of nowhere in the middle of one of his tirades he'd spout that everyone disagrees with his ideas because we like bullying people with disabilities.
He was a total nutter.

I never get sigged At least not that I know of anyway. I'm sure I'll survive another 5 years at least if I never get sigged, so its not a big deal I guess.
Congrats on the getting Sigged, Zek
There I was between a rock and a hard place. Then I thought, "What am I doing on this side of the rock?"
I think it's because in game, I have hardly ever had a gold title. I've been in the wrong pocket d, or on a different server, and by the time someone blurts out "DEV IN POCKET D!" and I get there, they're long gone. So I'm compensating by getting people to spread my caustic joy here on the forums instead.
And yeah - the whole "I can't type because my fingers are fused from a fire" was ... so inconsistant and idiotic. I would doubt that the kid was old enough to WORK let alone be in an accident at work. Guh. Anyway. Probably enough bashing of people who aren't here any more heheh.

[/ QUOTE ] As long as it's not life threatening I believe any hospital in the U.S. would do something like that if it was the cheaper option and the person didn't have insurance/couldn't pay.

Wait are you sure about that? I thought it only happened if you were unlucky enough to have an HMO as your healthcare insurance provider.
I had a friend that went to the hospital for chest pains and they sent him home because his HMO wouldn't cover it, yet that same hospital kept him for three days for observation and testing for the same condition when he was unemployed and had to rely on Medicaid.

Hmm, I've had that same problem...except I've never heard about the Dev's being in Pocket D until about 2 days later on the forums. I think I'll blame work for that.

Wait are you sure about that?
[/ QUOTE ] No.
I've heard random stories such as how somebody couldn't afford a certain treatment so the hospital went with the cheaper option, in this case in meant amputating a leg.
I have no proof of anything like this, as it was just some story I heard. But knowing how businesses operate, it wouldn't surprise me.

In the case of medical care, its not just the corporations. The Government has a hand in that as well. As do a few other factors.

Did anyone ever have then chance to link him to that angry German kid playing unreal?
[/ QUOTE ]
That was actually a staged video. The kid did it for, as I recall, a couple different games/languages, but the Unreal one was the only one that got really widely publicized. Snopes.com has an article about it, I believe.
Also: On subject. Everyone does have the right to an opinion, yes. But, just as you have the right to say "I think rocks are the answer!" in a discussion of the validity of Hegel's System, so too do I have the right to declare that your brain is vestigial.
