BIGGEST LOSER - GUARDIAN *Sticky Please*
*jumps in*
been battling the bulge for a year or so now. Been on an anti depressant that has increased my appetite.
start weight... 160ish
goal weight 120.
My blog http://www.freewebs.com/mrsalphaone/apps/blog/ has my meal diary and activity diary so ya'll can hold me accountable.
Once Alpha goes away on course in August I'm gonna kick it up a notch .

Yay Mrs A! You can do it girly!
Bob's challenge hasn't been posted yet, maybe he's sleeping in
I know they are in the middle of taping the Biggest Loser season 9 so maybe hes busy with that
Ill post it once Bob comes and sticks it up, so far today I had 2 meat sandwiches and 6 baked chips, thing is I know I am not suppose to eat it but if it's before my workout, I am allowed as long as I burn it off durring the workout.
My workout I just got done level 1 on both cardio max and bootcamp dvd for the biggest loser (90mins later) ya im sweaten.
Housework is counted as cardio too, time to go do that while waiting on Bob's challenge, then I have some slow cooked chicken and salad calling my name for lunch!
Here is yesterdays meals (MAY 31ST):
Breakfast:
2L of Green tea, eggs with green peppers, red onion, tomatoes, mushrooms and cheese.
Activity: Washed the car while doing laps around it at the sametime. (2hrs)
Snack: Coffee with heavy cream (ya heavy cream is heavy but has 0 carbs, what I have to watch ), almonds and nibbling on veggies
Snack: Green tea/Lemonde mix (crystal light lemonade again 0 carbs)
Supper:
Chicken Slow cooked with Salad: Ingredients: Lettace, cucumber, tomatoes, cheese and black olives with ranch (2 tablespoons)
Rasberry Lemonde/Green Tea mix ( yes crystal light again, green tea is home brewed)
Snack: Sugar free popcle, grape, 4 carbs
Activity: Bob's challenge
Total Carbs for the day: 20 (Like I am suppose too)
Current weight: 225ish or so...
Goal Weight: 140
85lbs to go
So far in 9.5 weeks I have lost 25lbs and 12inches total
My activity plans for today are:
Strap boy in stroller and go to the mail at a brisk pace. *pushing a stroller burns %20 more calories!* Unstrap him at the playground and help him up to slide safely. *climbing a play gym is tough work!* Walk home, eat lunch.
After lunch, I'm gonna do a Yoga routine.
After supper I do my 1km again with the boy in the stroller along the base jogging path. Depending how I'm feeling I might do the excersise stations too, to make the lil dude laugh.

Yeah the dvds I did where a buncha running, jumping jacks, pushups, situps, boxing, weight lifting, yoga, you name it ... it was in there lol
Idea of Cardio Max dvd
Idea of Boot Camp
Idea of weight loss yoga
Idea of Power Sculpt - I am getting this one in the mail soon
Alpha has the Px90 queued up in his Utorrent right now. We'll be pricing excersise bands when we hit up wally world tomorrow. hehehe.
YES I got him kinda on it too.
Right now I'm just gonna do the "Push the stroller and chase the active 2yr old workout."
The Military jogging path that goes around the base is 1km with stations all along it for chin ups, ladder ex, wall climbing..(I'll pass on the wall climbing....can't really do that with a stroller) I think I'll do the ones I can tonight on my walk. Will try to jog a bit here and there for intervals....

Couple of my friends are going to be starting P90X this week, unfort I can't do it cause of all the carbs they want you to eat, thats to many for my diet and would totally toss me off track!
What I been doing is working anyways
Okay moment of truth!
Pic of meh 2 days ago!
We're just doing it for the excerises. Told Alpha that it would be good for him too, because instead of dragging his sorry [censored] to the gym first thing in the morning, getting too tired to work, he can do it before going to bed, take a long hot shower and konk out. no need to stick with Gym PT schedules
BTW Tetley Green Tea and Pomegranate + Celesital seasonings Bengal Spice teas go well together. Might make a huge batch of it and chill it for later.

I gotta watch those Tea's mrs A, some have carbs!
The green tea I have is lipton and I brew up a huge pot of water and put the bags in there to soak for 15mins (0 carb tea), then cool and put in the fridge, the crystal light I have is 0 carbs too. I found some teas have 1-2 carbs per cup = BAD for me since im only allowed 20 a day lol.
I also have my tim's earl grey for when i want hot tea = 0 carbs
diet rite is a good diet pop = 0 carbs
and bob's challenge is up, pretty easy one today
Today's Challenge I want women having 1200 calories and men can have 1800. This is a great way to see what it is you are eating and how many calories are in your food and if it's worth it. Don't forget to count what you are drinking also...
Celesital Seasonings bengal Spice is just that, a whole slew of spices you'd have in your cuppboard lol Cinamon, cardamom, pepper, Chickory,
I can't drink anything with Aspartame or Sucralose (splenda). I'm allergic to it. One smidge gives me a migraine from hell. Hence why I'm using the more..umm..expensive yet natural sweetener, Stevia powder. 0 carbs, and non chemical.
Yeah the Tetley Pomegranate green tea has like 1g/carb per serving. I think I'll get the ol Lipton, or even hit up my health food store for a custom blend and a tea ball.

One key thing to remember like Jillian says: If it doesn't have a mother or a father or come from the ground..... don't eat it!
[/ QUOTE ]
so small children are ok to eat? i think i'll fire up the BBQ now
but for some everyday foods you can work into your routine that are good natural fat burners are grapefruit and the juice aswell as salsa. what i do is mix a can of tuna for the great protein with a few spoons of salsa and it tastes great, well if you like tuna that is. there is something in both that excellerate your fat burning metabolism and its good for you too.
i haven't been on the whole i gotta get down the pounds but rather upkeep on myself as i have let myself go for say 5 years, hmmmm strange the game is 5 years old lol.
i just started to hit the gym again after i told myself to get back to 200lbs b4 i hit the weights. in january of this year i was 230lbs, now since then and a change in my eating habits 3 weeks ago i was 198lbs and started to work out again. my clothes are now baggy too as i went from 38 down to a 34. time to buy new clothes.
it goes to show you that diet alone can and will bring resluts to get things going. one rule that i have stuck by is don't eat after the sun goes down to cut out late night snacking. another thing too is it is not a bad thing to be or feel hungry, your body will burn away the bad stuff when it feels this way and it increases your metabolism at the same time. water is the key to your body and its well being too. you should drink 1 ounce of water for every pound of your body weight daily. so for me i drink 200 ounces of water a day or as i do i use a pint glass which is 20 ounces and have 10 a day. i have cut soda pop out of my diet and that alone helped, don't do the diet sodas as they are worse for you believe it or not.
well i'm off to walk the dog and then to work out. lets get this going with a support group and best of luck to anyone who is gonna do it.
@Canadian Canuck @Canadian Canuck2
i should have read all the posts b4 i put my 1st one
ladies, stay away from sweeteners. they are bad for you. i know they make things taste better but if you drop them you will see faster results. also be carefull on the amount of tea you drink. tea's have more caffine than coffee and dehydrate's your body which is not a good thing. as i said drink lots of water, water is the key to all life. these are things i have learned from a friend of mine who is a fitness guru and makes me sick as he has only 4% body fat and eats anything he wants but is allways on the go. one day we will all be able to do that too.

Thanks CC
I use splenda when I make desserts for family get togethers 3-4 times a year and its usually cheesecake
I can't stand sugar/sweetner in my tea/coffee to be honest
The tea I have is caffine free and coffee i drink maybe twice a month now that im pretty much outta tim's coffee
Diet sodas I have maybe 2-3 a week sometimes none
Your friend was like i was in highschool lol
Then i quit smoking and gained 110lbs from quitting and all the junk food I ate to help with my cravings lol
Let's do this together folks, we can do it!
One thing I eat/drink before my workout most days are 1.5 cups of strawberries blended with cranberry juice its really good
Or peaches blended with orange juice, its really good!

Hunger is your worst enemy btw. You go hungry body goes into fast mode and starts stockpiling fat.
Key is to NOT be hungry.
Noire, Splenda is a chemical I can't injest any form of sucralose/Aspartame without getting dreadfully ill I highly encourage you to look into using Stevia. It's natural, 0 carb and 0 cal sweetener.

Key to not being hungry is 6 small meals a day 3 small meals 3 snacks
now if you continue to get hungry you should get ur insulin and thyrods checked, they play a huge part. Just to get a check up period....
Lunch i had a peice of left over slow cooked chicken and salad with black olives, tomatoes, cucumber and some cottage cheese yummmmy!
Well, I keep getting hungry because of my anti depressants...
I had the rest of my lentil/brown rice dish all spiced up with wonderful thermogenic spices of Cardamom, Cumin, Cinamon, garlic and onion, on top of a whole wheat pita with cucumber, red leaf lettuce and some low fat ranch. Tastes kinda like..a vegitarian Gyros. NOM.
Lentils + brown Rice = complete protein.

I can't have rice, pasta, bread or potatoes so I can't has that
Hey everyone seems like alot of us are on the weight loss thing, I thought I make this thread just for our server so we can help one another out, exchange recipes, talk diff things we are doing to help others, once a week (usually sundays) we will weigh ourselves in and see how we are doing, don't be shy now
I can help by posting Bob's challenges on facebook (he usually posts them around 9am cst or so) that he gives us everyday and these challenges will be on top of whatever workout we have already done for the day, let's keep one another motivated too. Maybe write what we eat for the day to give others ideas too or if someone is eating something there not suppose too lets keep em in line
One key thing to remember like Jillian says: If it doesn't have a mother or a father or come from the ground..... don't eat it!
Also best dvd workout you can get look into the Biggest Loser Cardio Max dvd and Bob Harpers book: Are you Ready? will inspire you and get you started, There is many of the dvd's like Biggest Loser Bootcamp, Powersculpt, and weightloss yoga. They are floating around for pretty cheap 8.99 - 9.99.
Let's see how much weight we can lose before Christmas here on Guardian, whatcha all say!?
Dev's sticky this plz and let's get started!
We can do it!
ps... I am sure you know Ill be posting alot
Starting weight: 225
