Many of you know me as CC or Canadian Canuck on the Guardian server, those of you that don't nice to meet you! I know this news today has saddened many of us that have enjoyed and will miss the game and most importantly the friends we have all made on the way.

I bought my very first computer when I heard of City Of Heroes being released on PC. Otherwise I had no interest in owning a computer. I would like to say it has been a very great 7+ years of playing CoH and self learning about computers.

For me this was a great way to release the stress of everyday life. I know some in the game that used this as a social interaction where it made people feel good about themselves. For some others this was there only way of social interaction and I feel most upset for them as this will be taken away. I know we have all shared our ups and downs in life with people we do not know other than wearing a cape and trusting with our real life emotions. I personally have done this with people in the game with the loss of my cat Benny 3+ years ago. It may not have been as serious as some others loss and tough times. I know others that have lost family members and have gone through other medical issues that just needed someone to talk too and I have lent an ear many times.

I hate to say "told you so" to NC Soft, but the day they said they were making it free to play with Freedom or "Free-Dumb" as I like to call it I knew it would not be long until this day. I keep thinking that this is a terrible dream that I am having with hearing this news. I know that is not the case.

Maybe it is not too late to reverse the decision that was announced today. I know many, many of you have signed the petition that is on-line to keep the game alive. My suggestion is for them to reverse what has been done. Go back to charging all of us to play. I know this sounds crazy to ask them to ask us for money but if it keeps the game so be it. Making it free only cost them money to upkeep the game and we all know in a business world there is nothing for free. I would be happy if there were no more new issues released and the game would stay the same as it is now. Truth be told there is a lot of content in the game now to keep re-making a character and going to level 50 and starting again. QuiJon, thank you for the insight on how it worked before i16. i too did notice the 3 max. ambushes in a mish now. i did attach 3 ambushes to one boss but only one of them came to the bosses aid and the other two went to the front door. i'll be playing around with this as i do want to see it happen again and i'm stubborn to make it work once more. it is alive in a certain mish still but the author who i team with will not let me in on his secret of how it is done. i do have certain words for that person but will not call out their name.

if i figure out how to do it i'll get in touch with you away from the forums so it will be available for everyone to use and the "powers that be" will not know it, therefore not nerf it.

i love these types of mishs and i'm trying to figure out how to do one myself. i have a great idea of custom critters to place in one and i know people will see it as farming but i see it as nothing more than a fun mish and a challege to stay alive and have fun, i will have a story to it.

there will always be "haters" towards anything someone says is a farm and the "sheep" will follow. IMHO if you don't like it, don't do it and let the ones who enjoy it have their fun.

Hi my name is CC and i am a farmer....now thats outta the way let me begin on what i have found. i have created a mission with as said above minion,lt and custom boss. i have found that the xp/influ is very good. i play at +3/8 man team and with 2 accounts for great rewards. i have also found that if you put 6-8 people on your team the xp/influ gets even better while the prestige drops. i know for faster results i drop it to 0/8man but i do like the challenge too of lvl 53-54 bosses to defeat even though it defeats the time/reward theory of quick maps. thus is my mind is no longer a farm since you need to work for it.

IMHO i16 is the best thing to happen to AE, only because you can get better prestige for base building in solo sg's. yes it is true we will never see the crazy over amounts of xp/influ ever again which i'm ok with as now it only takes double the time if that if you want to level a toon fast. i get bored with regular content and the drop rate which is non-existant lately and would rather collect tickets and choose what i want and that makes me happy playing the game to slot my toons.

i do have a question about a certain mission i have done and was wondering if anyone knows how to set it up so i can share my ideas on greater rewards. what i am talking about here is where the mission is front or back loaded and you get to take on a large number of mobs in one spot hitting the aggro cap for about 15 minutes then mission over with glowie. once i figure out how to do this we all can reap the rewards of AE again.

first off, Happy Anniversary and second very kewl gift, well done Arm. I'm thinking of taking a break in the real world so i might be back for a few one day soon and need to catch up with you all as its been waaaaaay too long.
