(Idea)Temp Travel Power For Halloween 2009

Honestly, i'd like to see a plethora of options for flight assistance. Broomsticks, "platforms" (ice, fire, dark, electric, sonic, plasma (goo), "surfboard", a bird, etc..), rocket(?) and so on..
which also means while i approve of the idea of Broomsticks, i would also rather see it permanently available instead of a temp. (but introducing it at Halloween would be a cool idea)
so.. 1/2signed
(side note.. not to say it wouldn't be cool to see similar offerings for other travel powers. (choice of TP effects, super-jump springy shoes, rollerskates, etc..))

I am a fan of Magic origins and I think our Halloween event needs lots of new stuff. This would be a great Temp power, and it could also be implemented as Magic Pool power.
I have a thread about a new Magic Wand/Wizard Staff Powerset. And this would go with it very nicely. Please have a look at it!

I think a broom stick power would be awesome for female characters! The devs could pair it up with a dust pan power. After all street sweeping is womens work.
When the finish sweeping the streets they can hurry home to do our laundry and cook us a steak dinner. And if they ask nicely we'll take them to Icon so they can buy a pair of shoes.

Hey I have been thinking about a new halloween event off and on since October. I keep hoping that they do something really cool and new. But they havent, so I just posted a new idea for halloween event 2010. Check it out.
I know you were JK but I think the power would be cool for guys too. Maybe it could be a special woman thing to carry a dustpan though...cuz I want to zip around on a broom, but I dont want to clean up after Forbin cuz word from the ladies is he is a very dirty! I am not sure if that is in the good way or the bad way.

Sorry, Timing is something you have to sacrifice when posting zingers on an internet forum.
My only regret is that I couldn't say that in a loud voice at the NOW headquarters. 
Of course I'd have a car running at the door for a fast getaway from the raging feminists that would be chasing me.

In any case, I'm with Cybin on this one. I'd love to see this, but I'd rather it be a permanent option along with several others. More flight options would be awesome. So kinda a half-signed from me as well.

i can see having a broom for halloween and also after the event it being available in croa for a fee or a tf or something like the jet packs with safegaurd mishes.

I'm sorry, but this request can't be done for one simple reason:
All suggestions for additions to new Issues and Holiday events must be made 1-2 days before the event goes live at the earliest. And never, under any circumstances, can an event request be made until at least a month after the event's final activation on test, nor can Issue requests be made until the Issue has reached the open beta stage.
Seriously, how do you expect them to remember things for the events if you ask for them this far in advance?

Do you honestly think that everything the Devs do is out of memory? That would be a very disorganized way of running things. They would remember by making a note of said event changes to implemented, maybe in a digital file or calander or an alarm reminder. Maybe it would be printed out and put in a big stack of papers titled "Things to do" who knows, but there is a system trust me.

Now this would be cool. A new micro-zone that's only opne during the Halloween event with a Haunted house and a foggy graveyard. Spooky NPC's that say scary things like:
Female NPC's that say . . .
"I'm Pregnant!"
"When are we going to get married?"
"My mother is moving in with us!"
"Does this dress make me look fat?"
"No. I'm not mad darling . . . Go to sleep . . ."
And male NPC's could say things like . . .
like . . .
Uhm . . .
O.k. I admit it, I have no idea what a guy could say that would scare a woman. I'm open to suggestions.

And to the OP I think thats a great idea, I also like the temp zone that actually looks very halloweeny(?), with a huge haunted house where you could fight ghosts and monsters that pop out atcha but give you something other than what we already get in the game.

There's enough fighting already with trick or treating, I was actually thinking of non combat things to do like the chalet's ski racing.
Maybe an easter egg hunt in the graveyard that gets you a badge.
A maze in the cellar of the Haunted House with non combat ambushes spawn out of nowhere to "scare" you.
A party room inside the Haunted House with a band made up of spooky NPC's (Cabal, Vampires, Werewolves, Firbolg, Ghosts)
Instead of a bar a Cauldron with cackling Cabal serving drinks. (selling inspirations)
Maybe a repeatable co-op Halloween mission/mini arc from a contact that lets you choose between some badges, Halloween Salvage, Halloween costume temp powers, Oh and the Witches hat from the Katie TF (Give the villains a chance to get that costume piece).
