Fodder for the Canon: Ask your lore questions here
I've got a couple of questions concerning the Carnival of Shadows.
1. Vanessa/Giovanna's mask is a 300 year old relic. Are the masks worn by the street-level Carnies similar antiques? Modern Carneval masks? Are they mass-produced? Do the rank-and-file Carnies need their masks for DeVore to control them, or is it just a stylistic choice, and something she could do through any object?
2. What happens if the Circle of Thorns try to possess a Carnie's body?
Very interested in the lore regarding Rularuu the Ravager, as it figures immensely in the mythic historic origin of my villain. Has Rularuu come to Earth in the past, before the Midnight Squad vanquished it to the Shadow Shard?
Thanks!

Im very interested in the Omega Team and Hero 1, and I came across something odd. It says here at http://wiki.cohtitan.com/wiki/Hero_1 , "Regarded as one of the bravest warriors to participate in the Rikti War, Hero 1 followed in the footsteps of Great Britain's Hero One. A member of the Dawn Patrol, he was also a member of the Vanguard and led a team of 50 heroes known as the Omega Team into the Rikti's home dimension in order to thwart the alien invasion."
We know of 13 of the Omega Members, (Hero 1, Ajax, Glacia, Infernia, Ruin, The Prestidigitator, Tin Mage, Blum Blossom, Bearer of Aegis, Ill Wind, Mystic Maiden, Alejandro J. Cantu, and Branforth the Seer) but who are the other members of the Omega Team? Its kind of wierd (atleast to me) that we know these 13 Omega members, but not all of the others.

2 questions really. 1 from my mate and 1 from me
Me and J of the Echelon SG on Defiant had a long old chat about Maria Jenkins. It says that she used to work with Statesman back in the 30's as "Madame Danger". She was never part of the Freedom Phalanx as far as our research on the 1st Freedom Phalanx goes so, was she his Side Kick or just a friend? If she WAS his Side Kick, how did that relate with his wife "Maiden Justice"? If she was just "his closest friend and confidant for many years", why is there no information about her anywhere?
Now onto my personal question.
It says that Hero 1 followed in the footsteps of Hero One. This, for me, opens ALOT of questions. How was it decided who would follow on and hold the sword Excalibur? Does weilding the sword make the next hero 1/one/won/etc? If weilding the sword makes the hero, does this make Ms Liberty the next in line? Who was Hero One? Who was Hero 1? Does the next in line have to be British? ..... In other words .... Can you tie up, now, the history of the Excalibur weilding Hero X's? :P

EDIT: I just read the post before my effort. I wasn't implying any connection to Maria but was talking about another Jenkins...one that has a tendency to get themselves and the group that they're with in over their heads.
Okay, still not funny.

I can see that, obviously, in the middle is Statesman and on his immediate right (our left) is Sister Psyche. Many also believe that on his immediate left (our right) is Maiden Justice (In her prime) and even MORE think that the guy with the dreadlocks just above her is a young BaB.
Can you confirm these last two and, also, can you tell us anything about the other heroes in this picture?

The guy in the dreads is definitely BaB, he appears in the art book that came with CoV collector's edition (page 14, hero side). Given that BaB started heroing during the late 70's, at which point Maiden Justice would have been in her 60s, it seems more likely that the women to Statesman's left is Miss Liberty, even if she was used as the basis for Maiden Justice in a CoH trailer.

But then the ages don't match up there either. Give or take a few years, BaB looks around the same age as the woman we are referring to in that pic. BaB is surely about 20 years or so older then Ms Liberty (Sorry BaB :s)

Also worth mentioning that I believe Miss Liberty's appearance in MT's Strike Force is in an alternate timeline so things could be a little off.

How are people getting answers to their questions?
Ah, sorry Shadowe, all these Misses and Ms ....es (?). Read that wrong my bad. It could be Miss Liberty, you're right.
Every so often, Manticore picks the "best" questions and answers them. (Not in this thread, but on this same board.)

Question to Manti from the Echelon Forums:
"There seems to be alot of zones that have slang names now such as Hollows (Eastgate) but the only zones that must of been renamed are those two (Galaxy City and Atlas Park) due to the sacrifice of heroes."
In other words, what we want to know is: What were the name of these two (and any other zones/areas named after heroes) called before?

If you want a background on Statesman the character... well, most of that's in the books and comics.

Ok... I might be a tad lost on this matter because I joined the game recently vs years of things that have been unveiled during the years within new issues.
It's obvious that the Vanguard are mistrusted mostly because of their "open door" policies, taking anyone no matter their background and recruit them to fight the Rikti. I also have seen the "Earth for humans" propaganda around all paragon. Now, this has become a fun argument in-character among my roleplaying partners.
Yes, the billboard may send a xenophobic message to the citizens, but some might understand this as a way to keep the earth together after the first Rikti War, after all we lost a lot of heroes and it was probably the worst war humanity has seen.
Now the question... or questions rather, are, have the Vanguard been related to actual Xenophobic actions other than those billboards? Are the Kheldians or other aliens treated any differently in the Vanguard ranks? Have the Vanguard made any public statements to justify their propaganda or to dismiss the word about their racist orientation? Can they really be considered xenophobic after they are even working with the Traditionalists in recent years to stop the war?
I don't want a one-way answer that I know I wouldnt get like "Yes, vanguard are evil!" because I know the devs have done a great job making the Vanguard as an organization you either love or hate. I just want a bit more of insight about the things that would be easily available to all person who read the papers, checks the internet, and of course works with the Vanguard on a regular basis.
My question regards Nemesis. As we all know, Nemesis declared himself Emperor of the United States in 1945 on the day after VE Day during his failed coup. This would make him the second Emperor of the United States, the first being His Imperial Majesty Emperor Norton I (aka Joshua Abraham Norton of San Fransisco). Is there any connection between the two?

Who were the members?
Are any still alive?
What was the fate of The Lord of the Frosts? (Maybe he became Winter Lord?)
Is this something you will leave to players? Or plan to answer in a in-game event and that's why you remained silent last time I asked.
