So how many authors...

Are planning to redo their arcs entirely with the new tools in issue 15 and how many are pretty much happy with their arcs as they are and are just looking forward to having more details to play with and finer controls over the powers of their custom critters?

I'm firmly in the later camp, how 'bout you?

I may not make full redos but I do intend on making some tweaks to the one I have out. However, I think that the one I'm trying to work on right now will better benefit from the changes.

I won't redo. Tweaking definitely.

But what I really want is the burning forest map back.

A bit of tweaking, maybe a redesign of one or two in test that just weren't coming together quite right.

I still want the burning forest back.

I might tweak some stuff here or there. I'm definitely waiting until Issue 15 before starting any new arcs, though.

I'm still in limbo with mine. They're fairly new and haven't gotten a lot of attention yet. One of them is fairly solid, though I might want to tweak my custom group a wee bit when those options are available. I'm also working on a rewrite for my CoT mission that I might want to wait before I make the changes. I'd like to have the option to set triggers for a couple of items. But, if it's going to be months before it goes live, I might make the changes for now and fix it later, once I can set the triggers.

My 4 mission arc is still a work in progress. I really wish there was an improvement in file size so I could add more text to elaborate more on the background story. As it is now, I might consider cutting a mission or some of my customs to give me more room. I'm not happy with all of the cuts I had to make in order to fit in the 4th mission. I might decide to cut one completely, or possibly consolidate 2 into 1, somehow. I would rather not have to do that, but I might have no choice.

No redo, but tweaks for sure.

Now I can buff up my main boss (just boss, not elite) without making her overpowered. Right now, she's actually a little on the light side, which was the better alternative at the time.

Another tweaker here. I'll have to go in and take a look at what changed and is new and think on it for a little while. And I will be putting off a final version of my final arc... which means I can procrastinate on it for awhile longer.

I'm tweaking my Lv10-14 arc. Right now, due to the limitations of the AE interface, all of my missions have a CoT Madness Mage in it. I wanted to restrict my arc to the 10-14 range, and that's the only halfway decent Lv10-14 boss mob I could find. I made the Mage the "minion" of the arc's real big bad, but it was, IMO, a weak compromise. Now that I can actually SET my own levels, I don't need the Madness Mage anymore, so I'm removing him from all of my arcs (and editing the dialogue / clues / etc to reflect the change).

I'll probably have to unpublish and republish my arc when issue 15 hits live, simply because I've already made all of the changes on test. I'd rather simply copy the edited "test" arc over to the live folder instead of redoing all of the changes again on live and maybe miss something the second time around. But since the arc currently has zero rating, it won't be that big a loss. All I'll have to do is edit the arc ID number in my signature.

Eh, it's not like I'd be losing any badges associated with it. I'd just have to ask that person to replay it when I republish it.

But seriously, if somebody was to play through it, I'd appreciate any constructive feedback that could be given. Even though I've removed a boss fight from most of my missions on test (and changed a boss fight in the final battle), the main storyline is still the same. My changes are merely cosmetic. Any feedback given (other than "Wow, I fought that stupid Madness Mage in every mission! Get rid of him!") would be helpful.

Rebalancing, for sure. I've pretty much done a complete overhaul of the custom enemies in my Drakule arcs based on some of the suggestions I've gotten, and just to take away some of the retardedly high damage attacks some of my AVs get on standard and replacing them with PBAoE attacks, because an AV should have AoE attacks, dammit! They're supposed to be fighting whole teams!

I'm a bit disappointed with the current "Custom" setting. It's just a version of Extreme that we can remove powers from, I still cannot give Power Shield (Fire/Cold/Energy/Neg Defense) to Minions or LTs but I can give both Energy Drain and LTs Entropy Shield (Mezz Prot), which I don't want to do. So far Custom only means anything for Bosses, it doesn't do jack really for LTs and Minions.

Unless something breaks, I'm not likely to touch my arcs, other than perhaps tweaking the custom mobs if they actually give us a way to make non-soul-crushing custom low level ones.

Well I just confirmed that Custom allows you to take Knockout Blow away from Super Strength Bosses. In fact the default Custom for Bosses is weaker than Standard. It looks like Custom only requires the first two melee attacks and the ranged attack, everything else is optional.

Haven't been able to test yet if it makes the file bigger as all my arcs and critters are invalidated on the test server due to it not recognizing all the unlockables I had bought, as well as not allowing me to rebuy them.

QR - tweaking, for sure. One thing I'm happy to see is the ability to level select the mission. Makes the awkward workaround of forcing an auto-exemp by having an 'invisible mob) unnecessary.

Eco.

Yep. Since I'll be able to drop the custom Crey group from one of my arcs I'll gain 3-4 KB that I can stick a bunch of new details into.

Yeah, I'll be tweaking, but not starting from scratch or anything. Especially on my Comics 101 arc, where the robots in the second mission were just brutal.

I'm pretty pissed off about this, actually.

Tweaking for sure. I am still not happy about the object placements and whatnot on the maps and if the new text mode lets you actually see those points, that will make things a lot easier for me.
I'm also liking the word about custom power tweeking for the critters, but not the word that it seems to be only for bosses and up!

My 4 mission arc should be good to go indefinitely, though my 1 mission story will need some tweaking. Hopefully, the chain of events that I originally intended will be do-able this time around without having to resort to all kinds of little "cheats" and such.

One really awesome thing, they did something to make the storage of arcs more efficient. I saw that an arc that is at 99.6% on live, when copied over to test, was only 75%! I ran through it and didn't find anything missing.

Who knows, but my critters weren't missing anything and they had a lot of unlocked items. Some of them do have wings, which would have been pretty obvious if they had been missing.

I also created two new critters for the group in that arc and the file used only went up by 6KB when before it'd be at least 12KB. Interesting.
