What would you say are the Phalanx's theme songs?

You can't have Veteran of the Psychic Wars, I already use that for my cyborg MM. :P

However... this might be fun for Luminary...

Cliche'd... but I can see this one for Sister Psyche. Too bad it's already a title song.

Back Alley Brawler totally needs this song.

"City of Heroes. April 27, 2004 - August 31, 2012. Obliterated not with a weapon of mass destruction, not by an all-powerful supervillain... but by a cold-hearted and cowardly corporate suck-up."

Wow... damn, Warcabbit, I completely forgot about that one.

It really opens up some potentially awesome backstory on Sister Psyche if the Powers That Be (hint hint Hero 1) were to explore how she tried to deal with her powers as time wore on.

Some electro might work well on multiple levels for Synapse. He doesn't seem like a very serious guy most of the time (are you using inspirations?). Only problem I can see is it being grating on your viewers, not for everyone I guess.

Well, since you said you do like BOC (just not that song), how about Flaming Telepaths for Sister Psyche?

(full disclosure: this was hubby's suggestion, but I totally agree!)

Hey, Lithium as covered by the Polyphonic Spree is AMAZING..

Positron would have "Iron Man' as his theme. Duh.

No clue about Sister Psych, though. Maybe "Number 9," by The Beatles, for the craziness. Which would represent the chos in Psyche's head, due to her powers.

Of all the characters in the game, the only one of them I tend to associate any song with is Ghost Widow.

There have been some really good suggestions... I've not listened to much of Juno Reactor apart from "Teahouse" from the MATRIX RELOADED soundtrack.

For some reason, when it comes to Sister Psyche, my brain keeps going "Songs of the WITCHBLADE"... but there have been some really good ones here!

PS - don't worry, Recluse and the Patrons will get their own video coverage too.

Two more possibilities for Synapse:

"Paradigm Shift" by Liquid Tension Experiment
(A bit long, I know)

"Rusted Cage" by Soundgarden
("I'm gonna break my rusted cage and run" seems like it would fit in with Synapse escaping from Crey's experimentation)

I was going to suggest "What We Need More Of Is Science" by MC Hawking for Positron, but the studio version has some foul language in it, and the edited version is kinda lame. Feel free to Youtube it, though, and if you're interested, I can e-mail a copy of the song.

Positron: "There are no bugs [in City of Heroes], just varying degrees of features."

Wow, if the suggestions for the Phalanx were this varied, I can just imagine what you guys come up with for the villains!

Sister Psyche could be "Girl Anachronism" by the Dresden Dolls.

I kinda like "Heroes" by David Bowie & Phillip Glass (Aphex Twin Remix) for Statesman, but its discordance might be too much for some people (but ultimately it reflects my opinion of how Statesman views being a hero - a heavy responsibility).

For Manticore, perhaps: "Infra-Red" by Placebo.

The villains will be easy for me. I got tons of evil songs in my library.

I don't know how to do the links. I can see this song for Statesman. Burning Heart by Survivor, from the Rocky IV soundtrack.

No one pays attention to me, cause I listen to the voices in my head.

I'm keen to do the villain thread when it pops up

My music taste is somewhat darker than most people, have a hard time finding theme songs for heroes.

I'm astounded that for Back Alley Brawler, not a SINGLE person suggested this?

Stereotypes for the LOSS... As was said above, why concentrate on his race, and why score a hero from the 70's and 80's with a 90's tune?

For BaB consider this: Tears for Fear - Shout (Digging through my meager funk/soul collection doesn't bring anything to mind.)

For Sister Psyche: Micheal Oldfield - Tubular Bells (Theme from The Excorcist) or Nine Days - Story of a girl.

For Manticore: Cake - Going The Distance

Man there's some good ones in my MP3 collection... Hadn't really dug through it in a while. (Goes off whistling as he cues up one of the twenty different versions of "Ghostriders in the Sky" in his collection.)

It was more a reflection on the condition of the city, not so much on BAB himself. BAB is not a gangster, but you can't throw a rock in Paragon City without hitting a gang member of one stripe or another.

Re: SHOUT, I'd be more likely to use Disturbed's cover of it. (Or maybe "Land of Confusion"!)
