Pool C Boss Drops

I got a Steadfast Res/Def this weekend from a solo mission with two bosses in it on my lvl 19 Tank. I was thinking at the time that those only dropped in TF, but this explains it.

this thread delivers the funny.

Haven't gotten any pool C boss drops myself yet.

I'm hopeful my stalker will get one before he grows up- stealthing missions and mowing lots of bosses should maximize his opportunities...

The alternate explanation, of course, is that the Steadfast Protection Res/+DEF is a Pool A Recipe.

I know I've gotten just ridiculous piles of the things from bronze ticket rolls.

Steadfast Res/Def is a pool A uncommon recipe tha exists in the level range of 10-30.

Pool A drops are mob drops which means that any non-pet class mob between level 7 and 33 that is capable of dropping recipes can drop one of these.

The level of Pool A recipes is determined by mob level (+/-3)rather than player level.

Pool C recipes are determined by the actual character level rather than exempted level.

Prior to merits Pool D levels were determined by your exempted level.

When you roll random PoolC/D at the merit vendor the final recipe level is determined by:

1) Your character level.
2) The level range that you selected to roll in (you can exclude some recipes sets completely by making appropriate choices here)
3) The min/maximum level that the recipe exists at.

If the recipe exists at your level that is the level you will receive it at. If it caps out prior to your current level you will receive the recipe at the maximum level that it can exist.

If the recipe exists only at a higher level than you currently are (you can roll in the 35-39 range as soon as you can slot level 35 IOs which would be level 32) you would get the minimum level recipe in that case. (Sting of the Manticore recipes begin at level 35 and unless they have fixed the bug you have to be level 33 to slot level 35 Sting of the Manticore enhancements)

I don't know if the Pool C/D recipes from boss drops uses the Pool A rules (mob level +/-3) or the Pool C rules (your actual level) perhaps someone else could enlighten us on that point.

Someone in JFA (Justice global channel) reported getting a lotg 7.5 from a pillbox. So Jealous.

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't know if i got other Pool C drops, but i got 1 numina++ on the last mission of LGTF

[/ QUOTE ]

Hmmmm maybe im wrong but im 99.9% sure your both BSing Numinas ++ and LoTG 7.75 global recharge are from TFs/ Trials not regular C drops, only time ive ever got a lotg 7.75 and numina ++ was when i a- completed a TF/Trial in old structure b- reward merits rolls c- ticket rolls, and i have over 10each of both enhancements on toons

[/ QUOTE ]

Oh that's a great way to reinforce your point. Oh I have 10 of each.. so? This forum is full of billionaires. Bragging about stuff to billionaires makes no sense.

Also:
You're Wrong

Edit: Also There's no such thing as a LoTG 7.75. you've added an extra .25 for some reason despite quoting the correct value.

The Taskforce Random Recipe Roll and Trial Random Recipe Roll from merit vendors have been merged into one Random Rare Recipe Roll pool. Also, the recipes generated by random rolls have been weighted so that recipes for common power types (such as Ranged Damage) drop more often than sets that are not so commonly used (such as Confuse). Finally, recipes formerly in Pool C and Pool D now have a small chance of dropping from a Boss class NPC.

Scored a lvl 26 LOTG 7.5 on a Stalker I've been leveling up. No SF's done, no merits spent, quite the pleasant surprise. I wanted to set up a doctor's appointment to see if there was anything wrong with me, because that kind of karma doesn't come cheap.

Scored a sciroccos triple off a random boss. I was lvl 46 and my luck was obviously in as later in the afternoon scored a hold purple off a 48 rikti drone.

I picked up a couple bad Pool C drops last night on my Stalker.
Touch of Lady Gray: Rech/End
Stupefy: Acc/Stun/Rech

Interesting thing I noticed with the Stupefy triple. I got 2 recipe drops from that mob. The special drop and a generic IO. Screenshot for proof.

It's referenced indirectly in the I14 patch notes on the main site.

Gold Reward Roll: This random reward will award recipes that were previously dropped by completing taskforces/trials, very rare boss drops, and recipes that are purchasable with merits. The Gold Reward Roll is the most expensive of the random reward categories as the rewards granted are very powerful.

It looks like the original quote upthread came from an announcement post here on the forums. I can't find it any more, so the forum purges may have eaten it.

I got a LotG +7.5% from a Rikti Boss in an LGTF with my MM.
Aside from that and a few other recipes, I wouldnt know if the drop was Pool A or B unless I had the wiki open at the same time. So Ive probably had more, but that one stood out as an obvious Pool C drop.

If I hadn't 'seen' my teammate get one last week, I'd have never believed it either, since I don't get those Good Drops. I bring Good Luck to my Teammates though.

What Goat said.

I have terrible luck & never get good drops.

If it was possible I'd buy a specific recipie and it would drop in price just before I listed it.

Whee!

I did a serious double take on that. That name stands out pretty well scrolling by in the chat window, but it scrolled out quickly due to lots of defeating and machine gun DoT messages.

The screenshot is of the window after scrolled back.

The guy who defeated the Fake and I were discussing how very karmic this was, because I got a Numi from a Gold Ticket roll the other day and gave it to him on that character.

My L30 Obliteration proc that I got from a merit roll sold for 23m redside iirc. That was nice since my other roll was craptastic.

Just a little update since I started this thread. I started about 10 or so alts in preparation for issue 15. So far none of the new toons has gotten one. I do for see with the addition of the new MA features it will make for some good hunting for stalkers. Being about to custom set your level and then just go to a zone where you are +3 to the bosses means you just clean house killing greens.
